Of all the events on the Hogwarts calendar, it was hardly any surprise that Halloween was Maggi's favourite. Any excuse to get dressed up and show off was A-OK with her, and this year she had gone all out with her costume. It had taken a long time and some help from older students to get the frame to appear as though it surrounded her perfectly from all angles, but for all the work, Maggi was incredibly pleased with the final result. The old fashioned dress was a bit hard to move in, but it was all worth it in the end. Making her way into the hall Maggi looked around, a little disappointed that her costume excluded her from most of the activities. She certainly wouldn't be bobbing for apples this way. There was nothing to be done but hang out and hope she ran into some friends, and that people enjoyed her costume.

 

[Liusaidh Styx]

Liusaidh enjoyed getting dressed up for halloween, it wasn't the most engaging holiday and she thought it could get a little dumb and lame but she didn't mind it that much. She just found that there were other holidays that were better but some costumes were good. Liusaidh hadn't done much this year she'd put on her brother'd old hufflepuff uniform and was going around saying she was a loser. Liusaidh was however greeted near the entrance when she spotted a pretty cool costume, so the slytherin wandered over. "Are ye supposed tae be a paintin'?" she asked the girl with the portrait. It was gonna be real hard to do anything in it, but Liusaidh could appreciate good magic. ​

The enchantment at least made it easier to turn in the costume than it would have otherwise been and she smiled at the older girl as she approached. "Yeah! It's not exactly comfy, but I really wanna do well in the competition." She smiled brightly, studying the other girl's outfit as she spoke. "Did you... not dress up?" She asked, taking in what looked like perfectly ordinary Hogwarts robes.

Liusaidh looked at the costume, it was impressive, "Well, ah dinnae see how ye'll no win somethin'," she told her, with a level of honesty that wasn't usual for Liusaidh. But she did think the costume was a cool use of magic. "Oh no, ah have, ah'm a loser..ye know cause hufflepuffs are all losers...," she joked with a little smile, she half hoped this girl was hufflepuff, if only to see if she got mad about it. ​
