Zennon didn't know what he was doing, honestly he hadn't known what he was doing for months, but mostly just functioning on auto pilot and mostly that was still true. He'd done all he could to try and take his mind off of things but it all just kept flooding back and he didn't have much of a guard or protection anymore. His chat with Analei before the meeting hadn't helped and it wasn't through lack of trying but, she just didn't know, how could she? The people going through this with him were his family, and Elio too really, and Agnes, but, they had their own things to deal with and he had all this other stuff too. He couldn't ask them to be there for him when they were looking after their own grief. So the only person he could think to turn to right now, was Sapphire. He'd heard about what had happened with Onyx, tragic, but maybe this was what they could do for each other. She would understand more of how he was feeling, because she'd almost lost her brother, her twin. Maybe she could help him interpret the world just a little. He sat down on the floor, surrounded by the mass of blankets and pillows he'd taken from the dorms and sighed, looking up at the roof and playing with his wand to make little sparks come out of the tip to create a bit of a celestial pattern, not that they stayed there, mostly they just sort of floated away, but it was the calmness of the picture he liked the most.

Sapphire was so worn out. It felt like the weight of the world on her shoulders. Protect Sam. Look out for her brothers. Be a prefect and not mess up royally with her cousins boyfriend as her patrol partner. Lead a team that would fall apart next year if she didn't figure out how to make them strong with or without their next captain. Try and talk Blake into being a good captain. She knew he could, if he could get over himself. But between the guilt, the shame, the pain of trying to fix her brother and her responsibilities to both the people she was in charge of and her friends, she was just so exhausted.

She trudged up to the towers, not sure what to expect. She was strong. She was bold. She would protect Zennon no matter what- and knowing things the way she did, she had been watching him try to hold it together for too long. With any luck, he'd let her try to help at least a little. She could only hope she wasn't about to mess it up even worse.

She came in, not saying a word, and just collapsed next to Zennon. She turned her head a little to watch what he was doing, and after a few moments held up her backpack. "Brought stuff." She murmured, turning to look at him.
