One Last Hurrah

Professor Styx noticed that she had wiped away some tears, or something, but he had warned her last year, one step out of line and she took a huge leap. The only reason he was not expelling her right now was because it wouldn't be any use. She was close to graduating. Professor Styx held out his gloved hand, "I know you started this mess. Hand over the prefect badge, obviously I had made a wrong choice in trusting you with such a responsibility. Perhaps it was not as important to you as rebelling and having fun was. Had you done this last year, you would have been sent home." He paused for a moment, and once he had the badge in his possession, he said finally, "You may earn this badge back by Graduation. You must demonstrate what I want to see in a Slytherin and a Prefect. You will have to regain the honor back." Professor Styx looked down upon her, his anger slowly subsiding. However it was clear that he was extremely unhappy about this. It would not be the end of this, and he was not unfamiliar with taking the badge away. In fact he did it several years ago with that Lurken girl for getting pregnant. That might have been a little unfair, but oh well. He concluded, "Now get out of here and go straight to bed."

Connor fought the temptation of rolling her eyes. She knew the name of the student, would be able to point her out in a crowd of sixth years no probably. If the girl wasn't waiting outside his office, it would be not difficult to find her again. Students couldn't just disappear. "The student will be visiting you in your office once you've returned that is, whether they went to hide in their dorm or are sitting right outside is something I do not know," she replied thinking over the instructions she had given the girl. Looking around at the seventh years she knew that she would have to take them inside write their Head of Houses and await for what punishment might come from them. She already had a feeling that they would not get as much trouble than they would of if they were Slytherins. She had a feeling they would all remain Prefects, but house point deductions and detentions would be in order for them no doubt. "Now, Ravenclaws and Hufflepuff. I'll have to contact your Head of Houses, inform the two of your gathering here in the Forbidden Forest. If you all will follow me to my office so you can wait to see what it'll be from them," Professor Connor told them as Styx was off to the side talking to the lone Slytherin. She heard the name and wondered how he had known about her throwing the gathering. Unless he had been in the trees watching the party or sometime. Connor turned and motioned for the students to follow her, and in turn she was following the other Slytherins of the party, good thing as she could make sure they all returned to the castle.

The Head of Houses gave Connor free range on punishments for the students, as I've pmed both Jessye and Pat about it. So the two Ravenclaws and the Hufflepuff will join in detention, however it'd be with her not Styx, every saturday till graduation. As well as loose 50 house points each. This way we don't need to have another thread going just to tell you this information.

Athena was stunned as she listened to her uncle speak to her. She had slipped her badge into her back pocket just as she'd left her dormitory, hoping she wouldn't have to abuse her authority by using it should anyone ask why she was out past curfew. She knew that some of the professors were rather lenient when it came to the prefects. Athena could see that the man wasn't going to back down, so she reached slowly into her back pocket and removed the badge. The Slytherin couldn't bring herself to look at it or at her Head of House as she passed it over. A solitary tear fell out of her eye and she quickly wiped it away, not wanting anyone to see her like that. She also didn't want to get in further trouble with her Head of House for crying. She knew that there would be no getting sympathy from this man, and knew better than to waste her time trying.

As he finished, Athena stole a glance at him. Her darkened eyes were glossy, but that was the only hint that there was that Athena was upset by any of the news. Inside was another matter. Athena was terrified for her father to find out what she had done. He had been pissed last year when she had gotten in trouble and she knew that he was going to be furious with her about this. She was surprised that her uncle was going to give her an opportunity to earn her badge back, but she was grateful for the chance. She could only hope that it would help to alleviate some of her father's anger at her. As she was dismissed, the Slytherin nodded her head and muttered, "Yes, sir." With that, Athena turned to follow behind the seventh years from the other Houses, her jaw trembling as she wiped away silent tears. She made no detours and spoke to no one until she was safely in Slytherin House and could speak with her housemates freely. She apologized to them and thanked them for not ratting her out. Thoughts of revenge were gone from her mind at the moment, but by morning those thoughts would be back with a vengeance.
