Taylor had been in great spirits as of late, nothing seemed to bring him down. He was enjoying his new perspective on life and using it to his advantage, his job was going so much greater now and he was getting slightly more responsibility such as training some of the new pilots so they could see what it was actually like to in the cock-pit of an actual plane – the stimulator could only prepare them for so much. Of course Taylor knew why he was so much more brighter as of late and it was all because of one person; Maia! The one he had let get away more than once, the fact that she was back in his life was just too good to be true and the fact she allowed him back into her life after what he had done to her meant he was probably the luckiest man on the planet. He didn’t even mind that they were just friends for now and not exactly great friends, just taking it slow for now because he didn’t want to ruin this; third time lucky! Taylor and Maia had finally decided that it was time for Maia to build some more relationships that had been destroyed thanks to everything Taylor had done and visit Megan, Taylor’s sister and Maia’s old best friend. Taylor had purchased two tickets to Maia’s show where she was playing the lead character, Dorothy, in the most recent production of ‘The Wizard of Oz.’ back home in England. Taylor hadn’t seen his family in a couple of months so it would be good to see them again and to make it better it was going to be a surprise. He had even bought tickets a few rows back so Megan couldn’t accidently recognise him or Maia in the audience because Maia was the biggest surprise – especially for Megan. Despite he and his sisters’ falling out, Taylor knew that Megan still missed Maia a hell of a lot so this would be great for her.

As Taylor was waiting to go meet Maia he got an unexpected owl with a letter saying that something had come up and Kimber needed Taylor to look after his daughter for a few days, ahead of his usual schedule; luckily he had requested a few days off so it didn’t collide with work. He quickly went to collect his daughter; thankfully her bags and everything were packed when he got there. Despite the short notice he was glad to have some time with her but he was just worried how Maia would react to meeting his daughter for the first time; the daughter that he had with a girl that he cheated on Maia with. Walking into the small Village he went to the meeting point. “You’re going to see Auntie Meg today. Are you excited?” he asked his clearly excited daughter. He just hoped that she was as excited to meet Maia.

Maia was incredibly nervous, unbelievably nervous. Megan, Megan Hirst, the girl who she'd come to love as a sister, the girl she'd abandoned when life got hard. She still felt guilty about it, and she prayed that Megan would forgive her. She had taken care to look good, she wanted Megan to see her looking well..and if she were being honest with herself, she wanted Taylor to see it too. She was staying in London at the moment, and it was so refreshing to be back in her city. London hadn't changed, and she loved it just as much as she always had. She was meeting him before the performance, and they were going together. He'd already sorted the tickets. Her hands were shaking as she prepared to apparate, how was she supposed to act.

She turned quickly on her heel, arriving just a few minutes from the meeting point. She needed time to prepare. She still couldn't believe how things had worked out. If you'd told her a year ago, that she would be talking to Taylor again by now, she'd have laughed in your face. She looked at herself in a shop window, to make sure she hadn't messed herself up during apparating. Her stomach was churning, and it had nothing to do with the disconcerting effect of apparition. She fixed her hair, and then leaned against the wall. What was she doing? Megan would be so angry. Though, Taylor didn't think so..but what if she was..what if she never wanted to speak to her again? She couldn't let things end like that with Megan, though-the way she'd left it before hadn't been exactly appropriate.

She turned the corner, and immediately saw Taylor. She smiled at the sight of his tall silhoutte, then another person appeared, Jessica. She was adorable, with blue eyes and blonde hair. Maia smiled as she watched her. She knew that part of the reason for her and Taylor split, was because of this litte girl, but that wasn't her fault. She was just a child, an innocent child. She could't be blamed. She walked up, smiling, and waved. "Hey Taylor!" she grinned, then hunching down, she turned to look at Jessica. "And you must be Jessica-I'm Maia." she smiled, looking into the little girl's bright blue eyes.

It had been a while since Taylor had been back at home, or at least in London, he just seemed to spend most of his time in his New Zealand home as he seemed to consider it more like home now. He had been considering selling his other homes now because they were just gathering dust it seemed these days, plus if he ever found the need to have to stay somewhere outside of New Zealand he could easily book into a hotel for the night. Working in the muggle world he never found much need for using magic in a daily basis, he never even really liked apparating, he only did it when he desperately had too and that wasn’t very often, it was just a horrible feeling; he didn’t even like having to bring Jessica along with him but it never did seem to bother the young girl. Leaning against the wall as he watched his daughter run around and chase the birds, he still couldn’t believe just how much she had grown. He remembered when he was able to hold her in his arms, she was so tiny he was almost afraid to hold her now he’d give anything to have those days back again. “Look daddy! Birdies!” Squealed the little girl in excitement as she continued to run about and scare them. He couldn’t help but chuckle at how she was so easily amused, he hoped that she remained as innocent as she did in this moment and that the evils of the World never affected her. “I can see them.” he called after her, smiling as his daughter started running back to him. Ruffling her hair lightly as she wrapped her arms around her dad’s leg, hiding slightly, he wondered what had changed her attitude so quickly. Looking in the direction of her bright blues he saw someone approaching.

With his eyes open wide he saw Maia walking towards him; he tried as best as he could to not let his mouth drop open as he looked at her. He couldn’t believe how she looked, sure he knew that she was by far the most beautiful woman he’d even seen but in that dress, it made him hate the fact she was no longer his. He was in a bit of a daze when she approached him so he had a delayed reaction when she spoke to him. “Oh hi Maia! You look great!” That was a harmless enough compliment that he could give a friend, considering that’s all they were now. Smiling as he watched Maia introduce herself to Jessica, that had to be a good sign right? She didn’t seem confused or anything, she actually seemed quiet eager to speak to her from Taylor’s point of view. “Jessiebell, say hello to Maia. She’s a friend of daddy’s.” he said encouragingly to the girl that still had her arms wrapped around his legs. Slowly but surely the girl came out and smiled her cute smile,
“Hallo Mmmammaa. Joo are pweetyy!” She said, her words not formed probably, not even able to say Maia’s name properly. Taylor couldn’t help but laugh at his daughters attempt, she was getting better. “I’m sorry about this, last minute plans. I hope you don’t mind?” he said in a quieter voice to Maia, he did feel bad that it wasn’t just going to be the two of them like they had planned.

Maia smiled as she saw Taylor and Jessica. he looked like alittle angel, chasing birds as they approached her. Why was she with him? He hadn't mentioned it, maybe it was his turn to look after her. She didn't look very like Taylor, but they seemed close. She watched as they walked toward her, every movement he made showed his care for his daughter. It was nice to see them together. She'd always been close to her Dad, especially at that age. She used to put on his coats and run around the house. Her Mam had thought it hilarious. She immediately felt herself redden as Jessica saw her, and hid behind her Father's legs. Kids could be so blunt, they were very truthful, and what if she said she didn't like her, or wanted to go home. She hoped not.

"Thanks, you're not bad yourself." she replied, smiling. She liked this outfit, and she was heartened by his approval. Taylor always looked good, it seemed almost effortless for him. Maia grinned as Jessica emerged, she was so cute! She could never resist cuteness, those big, blue eyes, and golden hair. She was going to be a beauty. She smiled at Jessica's compliment. "Thank you Jessica, but I think you are prettier, you have lovely hair, I always wanted hair like that." she replied, truthfully. She'd always wanted blonde hair when she was younger, but she was over that by now. She stood back up, and smiled slightly as Taylor apologised. "Not at all, she's so adorable." she replied, then turning back to Jessica she added, in a louder voice. "Now, should we be on our way? I don't know about you, but I love the Wizard of Oz!" she grinned enthusiatically, today was going to be great, more than anything, she couldn't wait to see Megan.

OOCOut of Character:
Ugh, sorry rubbish post :/

Chuckling slightly at Maia’s comment about his appearance, his outfit was nothing special but he figured that he had to be make an effort tonight if he was going to see his sister perform on stage; also going out on what could be taken as a date but wasn’t with Maia, he wanted to be sure that he took some more care when he chose his outfit that afternoon. He knew that this wasn’t being considered a date, they were just friends and not even great friends at that though, but he knew that he was lucky to even have Maia talking to him so he wanted to take everything slow, despite the feelings that he still had for her. Deciding that tonight wasn’t for dwelling on the past was not what he wanted to do he put all his focus on the present and being able to spend time with Maia and Jessica, who were without a doubt his two favourite girls. Sure that sounded corny and it was but Maia was his first love and truth be told his only love and Jessica was his daughter so his love for her was unconditional and growing more and more with each passing day. He beamed from ear to ear as he watched Jessica and Maia interact, it was nice to see Maia interact with another human being outside of her family, she was always so shy around new people that she barely spoke to them but he was glad that it wasn’t the case with Maia, and hopefully would remain like that because if things went well Jessica might see more of Maia so he wanted his daughter to feel comfortable around her.

Taylor shook his head slightly as Jessica did a squealing giggle and continued to hide behind his legs at Maia’s compliment. He was so glad that Maia didn’t seem to mind that Jessica was going to have to tag along with them today, he sighed a small sign of relief when she said she didn’t mind. “Thank you so much!” he said sincerely. “Yes I think we should. The show will be started soon.” he said with a laugh lacing his words as Maia suggested they get a move on to the show. Thankfully they had apparated not too far from the theatre so they were only a five minute walking distance. It wasn’t a big theatre, more like a town theatre where small productions were put on every few months but Megan loved performing there, she was dedicated to them and it showed that they appreciated her as she almost always got the main role in their shows. Taking out their tickets, Taylor followed the usher to where their seat was and waited for the show to start.

Megan sat in her dressing room behind stage, playing with her pigtails, watching the curls bounce back as she pulled at them. Unfortunately it wasn’t her own hair as she didn’t think it would be worth dying her hair the red-ish brown colour that the famous Judy Garland had made iconic as the original Dorothy, but Megan didn’t mind wearing a wig, she was used to it by now. Staying blankly into the mirror, pulling on her wig pigtails, Megan waited to be called for the show to start. Sure she should probably be more excited or nervous now or at least have some sort of emotion other than nothing but this role was just so easy for Megan now, considering she had played the role a few times now as The Wizard of Oz just seemed to be a popular play to have on at the theatre, this would be her fifth time playing Dorothy since she was about 16. Hearing a knock at her door to let her know that it was five minutes to the show Megan got out of her daze and did a last minute make up check in the mirror and that her hair was sitting just right. Smiling at the fact she was good to go she sat there looking at the pictures that she had sticking out of the mirror. It was just pictures of her family, friends, Jessica as a baby, Megan herself in various costumes in a range of ages and one photo that was quite old, the first one of her and he old friend from school, Maia. They hadn’t talked in so long but Megan always missed her and they both had the same dream of being a famous actress on day so she kept the picture close – as a good luck charm for her. Unfortunately she didn’t have time to reminisce as she had another knock on the door and was called to the stage.

Standing at the side of the stage waiting for her queue Megan tried to look out into the audience, she didn’t know why she bothered anymore, no one ever came to see her apart from her parents but that was usually for openings and closing nights and she was ok with that but she would just like that someone would come sometimes. Hearing her queue Megan walked out on to the stage and began her performance. It didn’t seem like long at all until the play was over and after taking her last bow Megan made her way back to her dressing room and began to get changed. She didn’t have any plans tonight, not that she ever did, so she figured that it was home, a nice long hot bubble bath and maybe some take out...a typical night for her.

Maia returned Taylor's smile, with a friendly grin. She wasn't going to get ahead of herself. Taylor had everything together now, but she wasn't going to just allow herself to fall for him again. His daughter was a completely different affair. She laughed as Jessica hid behind Taylor's, children were so refreshing. That was part of why she loved the shop, especially the first Years. They were much older than Jessica, but their innocence was almost the same. She liked being around them, some of the older students she could do without, but the majority of the younger ones ewre nervous and apprehensive. She straightened up, and turned to Taylor, smiling, Jessica had eased her mood slightly. She'd been nervous about this day, it was nice to know someone else was nervous also.

She began walking, alongside Taylor, toward the theatre, she was nervous about this, what if Megan was angry? She still didn't believe that Megan hadn't blamed her. She remembered the missed calls and messages, she remembered changing her phone just to stop herself from calling her back, and letting herself be comforted by her closest friend on Earth. She'd felt she needed distance, but it was time to end that, and start all over again. She watched the houses passing by, feeling slightly ill at ease. After what seemed forever, they reached the theatre. The Wizard of Oz. She'd always loved that show, it was so sweet, and carried a simple message. She took her seat, and smiled at Taylor in the darkness.

Her reath caught as Megan walked onstage, she was wearing a wig, and she was wearing Dorothy's dress, but she looked the same, she was surrounded by a glow which brought her performance to light when she was on stage. Maia smiled, her eyes twinkling. How had she given it all up? Her life, her friends, her work? She swallowed as she thought of the rush that must be absorbing every fibre of Megan's being at that very moment. She remembered it, she'd tried to quench it, but it had been far too long. tha stage brought out a part of you, you never knew had existed. It filled you with adrenaline, and she missed it, more than anything, well, not anything, not more than Megan, or Taylor. She watched the familiar story unfold, her hands clasped in front of her, her eyes glowing, she couldn't rip her gaze away from Megan. she'd left her, abandoned her, she had no right to want her back, but she loved Megan like a sister, and she prayed to God that she wouldd have another chance.

The final chorus was sung, Maia clapped, and laughed at the appropriate times, but her mind was elsewhere, her mind was in the past. Megan had barely changed, as she herself had, it had only been a year or two, but she'd expected everything to be differnent, and it wasn't. That was a relief, but in another way it was terrifying. she waited until the curtain dropped, and the lights went on. "I suppose this is where we go backstage." she breathed, looking at Taylor, her terror showing in her eyes. "Sorry, I'm just...nervous." she amended, as she stood from her seat, and smoothed out her dress.

Taylor hadn’t been to one of Megan’s shows in so long but he knew that she was so talented and deserved to be bigger than just small town productions. Although he knew that Megan was happy with what she did. She liked being true to the places that helped her along the way and she said that even if she did make it big one day she would always return to her roots – if they’d want her that was. He remembered Megan when she was younger, how she’d always go around the house, singing and dancing and always putting on shows for the family and friends of their parents. Even then she was talented at all things and it was only a matter of time before she became famous. As they sat in the darkness waiting for the show to start Taylor took a sideways glance at Maia, wondering if she was still as nervous as she sat there. He couldn’t really imagine how she felt right now as she sat there, getting ready to see the woman that used to be her best friend after all the time without as much as a single letter. Taylor didn’t blame Maia or anything, he understood her reasons and couldn’t help but feel responsible because, well, it was his entire fault that Maia had moved to New Zealand and severed all ties she had with her past life. Although he couldn’t help but admire how brave she was to do this today to come and see Megan after all this time. He only wished that he was brave enough in the start to have told her the truth about everything, from the one night stand with Kimber and then how she became pregnant; if he had done this then he might not have had to tell her that they were married because for all he knew they may have been able to work it all out and things might be different today. Trying not to dwell too much on the past because he knew it was a bad idea, he was happy with the present so he was just going to focus on that, with that in mind he kept his eyes forward and watched the performance.

As per usual Megan had put on a great show and did herself proud as Dorothy; it was almost as if you could have heard a pin drop in the theatre during her rendition of the ever popular ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow.’ It wasn’t long until the show was over and the lights came back on in the theatre. Taylor sat a few moments as the crowd started to trickle out, nodding his head when Maia said about heading backstage. Turning his head towards her he saw the look in her eyes, smiling softly he grabbed her hand, “It’s alright. But look you’ve made it this far, right? You’ll be fine.” he told her reassuringly.
“Come ooon. I want to see Auntie Meg.” Came the voice of Jessica who was now standing up on her chair. “Boss says so.” he said with a small chuckle to Maia as he stood up and gathered Jessica in his arms, not wanting her to walk down the stairs by herself. As they approached backstage they were stopped by one of the bouncers, after Taylor explained who he was and got confirmation from Megan’s manager Taylor lead the way to Megan’s changing room. “Now or never.” he said as he knocked the door a few times and waited for Megan to answer.

It didn’t take long for Megan to get out of her Dorothy costume and into her casual clothes for the night. The outfit wasn’t anything special, just enough for her to go home in as that was all she was going to be doing tonight. Sitting down in front of her mirror she started to take off her makeup and fixed her hair after wearing a wig all night. She just wished she could magically change it for every show but she was constantly afraid of maybe getting caught by one of many people that were running around before and after the show, it was always better to be safe than sorry in the muggle world when it came to magic. As she looked at her reflection in the mirror she signed slightly as the picture of Maia caught her sight. Some thought it weird that she still had a picture of her Hogwarts best friend because they thought that people changed once you left school and you made new friends. That, however, wasn’t the case for Megan, she and Maia were meant to be best friends forever, the real deal but stupid Taylor had to go and mess that up for her. She knew that it was his fault and a part of her regretted it but she blamed Kimber more than anyone, she couldn’t stand that woman and was so happy the day she found out that she and Taylor had gotten a divorce. As far she was concerned the only good thing that came out of Kimber and Taylor being together was Jessica and one could never be mad at a blonde haired, blue eyed bubbly two year old girl.

Hearing a knock on the door Megan didn’t really think anything off it as it could easily be someone giving her something she forgotten or being told that they were locking up and she needed to hurry up, things that happened her regularly. Although when she opened the door she was greeted with a sight that she never expected to see. She didn’t really get time to take in the scene before her before she saw a small pair of hands in front of her face.
"Auntie Meg! Auntie Meg! Me saw your play! You were sooooooo good.” Giggled the young girl who was begging to be held by her aunt. Taking Jessica in her arms she paid some attention to her first. “You did! Thank you Jessy-bee.” she said, beaming. “What are you guys doing he-“ she was about to finish asking her brother what had brought them here tonight before she saw that they weren’t alone.

Maia's mind seemed frozen, she felt so weird, disorientated even. She'd missed Megan so much, Taylor's voice brought her back to the present, and she smiled slightly at his reassurance. "Yeah, I guess so." she replied, his hand felt warm in hers, it was odd that it felt so normal. She'd walked hand-in-hand with him a thousand times, he'd given her piggy-backs, so in a way, it wasn't surprising, but after so long, she'd thought they'd alienated themselves. She'd tried so hard to alienate herself, but obviously, it hadn't worked. She smiled at the thought. She steadied herself, as she rose from the chair. It had been so long wince she'd seen Megan, what was she supposed to say, how was she supposed to act? Her first instinct would be to hug her and scream and shout, but who knew how Megan felt now, who knew whether their friendship could survive what had happened. She prayed to God that it could.

She nodded as Jessica announced they had to go. "Right you are." she replied, a broad smile on her face, for the child's sake. She didn't want her nervousness to show. She walked slowly up the stairs, feeling unsteady on her feet, Megan has sung beautifully, she remembered her voice, her mannerisms, as though it had been yesterday. She walked slightly behind Taylor, and waited as the door opened, and Jessica bounced into the room. Her heart was in her mouth. For the first time in years., she was standing within metres of Megan,a kindred spirit, someone she'd always thought of as a sister. She smiled slightly as Megan embraced her niece, and as she looked up, Maia felt her face freeze. "I agree with Jess, you were great." she replied, saying the first thing that popped into her head. She stepped into the room. "Hi Megan." she greeted. "Um..I just, don't really know what so say." she laughed nervously, her eyes were on the floor, she couldn't bring herself to look at Megan's face. she must hate her now. She must.

Sorry about the wait. Not doing Taylor this time round so reply whenever

The Wizard of Oz wouldn’t have been on of Megan’s favourite shows but she did enjoy playing Dorothy, it did get monotonous and almost boring from time to time but one more show and it would be her last one as Dorothy, well for now anyway as the theatre was having a break to make way for a new musical. She had been pushing them to do ‘Wicked!’ It was her favourite of all musicals and she adored playing Glinda. It had all started when she was younger and still in Hogwarts. It was just before her and Maia had become best friends, they had been pretty good friends at this point but it wasn’t until one day she had been singing to herself one of her favourite songs from the show, ’For Good’ and Maia had started singing along with her. She was pretty sure that that was the moment they knew they were going to be best friends for life; the simple bond over a musical was enough to make that concrete for them. It would seem silly to anyone else in the Magical world that two witches could bond over something to do with the muggle world but they both had some sort of ties so it wasn’t all the uncommon for it to happen. Then again that was the past now, seemingly the bond she thought they had made was only on her end. She was never angry at Maia for leaving but she missed her terribly.

With a knock on her door being nothing strange at the end of the show so when she saw the scene in front of her it took her a moment to process it all. She was only able to handle Jessica easily as it just came so naturally to her now and of course she was able to handle Taylor even though he didn’t say a lot. Although the third person in the party was one that Megan didn’t know how to react too. Once upon a time it would have been as easy as breathing when it came to greeting her, but now it was like a whole new experience for her. She stared at the person in shock, and slight confusion, only as she passed Jessica back to Taylor because she didn’t feel like she would be able to hold the young girl much longer. She only showed sign of life when the woman in front of her started talking, it was like hearing her voice again brought her back to reality, and all the familiarity came back to her and with that, the way to greet the girl came back to her as if she had always been doing it all these years. “Don’t say anything.” she said, shaking her head, her voice neutral. In a blink of an eye Megan took a huge step forward and embraced her friend, never wanting to let go for fear of losing her again. “I’ve missed you so much.” she said, tears filling her eyes. This was one of the best moments of her life and she didn’t want it to end, she had found her best friend again and this time she wasn’t letting her away that easily.

Maia's eyes flashed back to all the years she'd spent with Megan. She'd grown up with her, went through heartbreak with her. There had been a time when this blonde beauty had known everything about Maia, all her secrets, her dreams, her fears. It felt as though it had been forever in a sense, but looking at her now, she almost felt like the lost little girl, who'd first met Megan, and been completely caught up in these bubbly girl's friendship. It had all been perfect, as perfect as she'd ever thought it could be, but then it had changed, become even more perfect. She'd been so afraid it would ruin everything, that her saying yes, on impulse could ruin her friendship with Megan, but it had changed nothing. Her head was spinning with thoughts of the past, as she stepped into the room, the room moving in slow motion.

She glanced back at Taylor, nervous, then turned back to Megan, her hair flicking into her face, as she pushed it away with her left hand. Her eyes began to water as Megan stared at her, and her eyes followed Jessica as she was passed back to her father. Maybe Megan didn't want her as a riend anymore, maybe she'd been gone too long. A picture, on Megan's dressing table caught her eye, the two of them. She remembered having that picture taken-she wasn't too late.
A smile burst across her face, and she hugged Megan fiercely. "I know-I've missed you too. Oh Meg, I'm so sorry!" she replied, speaking into Megan's shoulder, she crying freely now, and she wiped her eyes with the back of her hand, not wanting to wet Megan's clothes. She was so happy, she couldn't let Megan go, she didn't know why she ever had.

Megan mustered up every ounce of strength that she could as she hugged Maia, she had a few too many years of not seeing her friend to make up for and she planned on doing it almost all in one hug. Although as people started to push to get by the friends reunion she, reluctantly, let go off her friend and moved back into her dressing room, waiting for Taylor to come in with Jessica she closed the door behind them. She told Taylor to put Jessica on her chair so she could play with the things on her dressing table while the grownups talked. Thankfully Jessica was such an easy going child and turning into a right little madam that when she got anywhere near Auntie Megs make up she would be quite content for a good hour at least. As soon as Jessica was settled Megan turned back to Maia, it was such a surreal moment to turn round and she her best friend just standing there, as if nothing had changed. Heck even with Taylor there if felt like the good old days when the three of them would just hang out, not having to do anything in particular as they just had to sit there in silence and they would be having a good time and oh how Megan missed those days. She really liked school all that much, she did alright in classes and whatnot but just spending time with Maia, and even Taylor – despite him being her older brother, she always had the best time and that’s where her favourite memories all came from.

Megan was almost taken off guard when Maia came to hug her again but she welcomed it with as much force as Maia put into it, enjoying the familiarity of it so much. As Maia started crying Megan couldn’t contain herself and began to cry also, not caring if she was to ruin her make up or if anyone was to see her, this was the happiest she had been in so long and she wasn’t going to let anyone ruin her moment. “You’ve nothing to be sorry for Maia. You’re here now and that’s all that matters.” she said through her tears. The past was in the past and she the only thing she cared about now was that Maia was there. Breaking away from the hug slightly she looked back at Taylor and back to Maia. “How are you here, though? Together..?” she asked, very curious that they were here together, Taylor hadn’t said anything about getting back in touch with Maia and she was a bit upset about this but she would hear them out before saying anything.

No Taylor for a bit, but godmod him lol

Maia laughed slightly at the feel of Megans arms around her she was crushing her, but abruptly, Maia realised that she was doing the same thing. She followed Megan into what she assumed was her dressing room. Taylor followed, and Maia glanced back at him. She was so grateful for his being there-she'd never have had the courage to come alone, not after so long apart. She smiled as Taylor set Jessica on the chair, and she began to play with Meg's props. Maia had never thought she could feel this fond of the girl who's very existence had killed her, but you couldn't be angry with her, she was an angel, and Maia could feel herself becoing attached-she'd always loved kids. Taylor was standing slightly to her right, and she felt sompletely at home. These two people had been the two most important people in her life for so may years, and here they were standing in frot of her, and yes thing had changed, ut she felt almost as though that didn't matter, that being here, with them, was where she should've been all along. She tucked a lock of hair behind her ear, looking at Megan from beneath her eyelashes, she couldn't believe that she'd forgiven her so suddenly, though knowing Megan-there wuld be questions.

She breathed a sigh of relief as Megan hugged her, she had missed this, this closeness. She'd avoided making many friends in New Zealand. The only real friend she had was Jack, an she barely knew him, but he made her laugh and they had a good time together. She looked up at Taylor-he was still much taller than her, but then again, so was pretty much everyone. A grin broke across her face as Megan began crying, and she pulled away wiping her eyes. "Oh, Meg, I knew you'd say that, but it's not true-I should've never let my problems with Taylor affect us." she replied, glancing at Taylor-she didn't want to remind him of that time-he hadn't been at his best, as far as he'd told her. As Megan asked the question she knew was coming, Maia took a deep breathe. She'd played her answer over in her head, she just hoped it was good enough. "Well, after I left I went to...New Zealand...I've been there over a year, I own a shop, my own apartment, got a job wth Elizabeth...I was out one day when...I bumped into Taylor. He apologised, and I realised that...I didn't need to stay there." she answered. "I'd been terrified of coming back to England, I didn't want to see him, but after we met, I realised-it wasn't scary at all." she smiled at Taylor apologetically-she knew he felt bad about how things had gone.
