New Project​

Hi everyone ^_^ I’ve been working on a map for Obsidian Harbour that can be posted in the Wiki page. So far, I’ve completed a very basic template of the layout. I’d like some feedback! Every bit helps. Please read the below info below before viewing, so that you understand why things are as they are. You can make a better judgment of it.

This is only a template, of course. Therefore I feel comfortable in admitting that it's a bad scan and it's quite sketchy in places. What I want to get out of this is some feedback of what things you want changed, (because I can and will make major and minor changes).
The real deal will feature shading and perks like little tiny people, tiled roofing, grass, waves, cobblestones etc in pencil. What I need are comments, suggestions, criticisms and also observations about the basic layout. So, thanks for viewing! ;)

Wow. I can't believe nobody has commented on this. :o They must be too in awe. :lol:
Anywho, I think it looks great. :) The only trouble I can see with numbering the shops is that shops will move/close/open and I can't imagine the map being updated that frequently.

Thanks for telling me so xD

I'm replacing the numbers with typed ones and placing them in correctly, just the same with the lettering. That was I can edit them in a paint program easily.

I like the little bits of subtle detail.

Makes we want to colour something in. =))
 
Art I love it - can't believe I'm only seeing this now

the only problem is now you have a really nasty DE on your case because you forgot to name her tavern The Leaky Cauldron but... it is near the harbour and can be among the miscellenous shops ( the biggest one at the corner before Bleak Street is perfect actually )

I totally never envisioned Obsidian to look like this, but your interpretation of it is so much better than mine was. =))

Tony: I know! I just wish I had some better pencils, then I could add tiny bits of colour here and there. Or better yet, if I knew how to use water colour xD

Andromeda: Blimey, you're right! I need a Remeberall sometimes. Well there's plenty of nice places to choose from and in fact I, er, will let her choose where! I can, er, even get the Leaky Cauldron to..swap with another...shop...*please don't eat me*
