Hello everybody!
I project I've had in mind for ages and have only been working on the past few weeks is the HNZ Gradebook.
The system will hopefully relieve much of the confusion over graduate's NEWT marks, losing track of grades, and having to search through archived grades topics for answers.
All Users
All registered members of HNZ have access to the general functions of the gradebook. You can search for user's and see their marks if they were ever in Hogwarts. Since this system is new most graduates of HNZ have no grades recorded for them and aren't marked as graduates. This is a unfortunate circumstance of creating such a system so late in the site's history.
Students
Students have the ability to add or remove courses from their character's enrolment based on their year level. This means third years will choose their electives in this system and just enrol in the class instead of telling their Head of House, who tells admin, who tells elective professors.
Transfer Students
Transfer students will be enrolled as a first year when they first enter the system (or possibly not as a student at all). If this is the case for you, please contact a member of the staff via personal message and we'll update the record.
Professors
Professors are able to see who is enrolled in the classes they are supposed to be teaching. (Note: If a professor only teaches their course from years 1-4 they can still see all 7 years.)
From these class lists, they can assign grades to the students at the end of the term, and remove students from their class entirely.
Staff
Staff members have been given complete access to the system: they can find any user and edit everything from previous grades, to enrolment in classes, to what year level the student is in.
Any mistake that is made in the system can be corrected by pretty much any staff member.
It doesn't look beautiful yet, but I'm still playing with it a bit.
In the future updates to the gradebook may include:[ul][li]Class schedules based on enrolment</LI>[li]Coloured usernames based on house<LI>[li]Preventing first and second years from dropping any classes.[/li][/ul]

I would also like to think my friend and coding-wizard-extraordinaire, Reid, without whom this code would have taken 8000 times longer to write and get up.
Please be sure to follow instructions on pages you load carefully - they were put there for a reason.
Students: Please enrol in your courses as soon as possible so Professors can start seeing what they're going to be doing.
Professors: Don't assign grades after every lesson - just assign students their final grade in that year level of the course.
Thanks a lot,
~Nick
If you have any question/comments/concerns or notice any errors - just contact me through some means and I'll address whatever it is.
