Going to the yuleball with Harmony just made sense. He knew that they would have fun and given all his worries about the yuleball and whether or not he should have a date a hold-over from his grandfather, this nipped them all in the bud. He had been ready for a while, having gotten nervous about not being presentable enough and getting himself together to be sure. His suit was new, James had bought it for him. it fit him well. He had always worn second hand and ill-fitting suits, but this, it was sleek, it was beautiful. It made him feel good. He had tried to do something with his hair, but it hadn't really worked. He was waiting, knowing that Sky was never that late to things and knowing no matter when she arrived he could and would wait.

Maybe sky's dress would have been better suited to the Halloween feast rather than the yule ball. she could have put a halo on her head and claimed to be an angel or maybe a fairy. but that wasn't her usual Halloween style it was more her usual style. it was a pretty peach-coloured dress with feathers on the shoulder. she had to look good tonight. She had a date for the yule ball. well, not a date, but she was going with someone who meant a lot to her, her friend. Leo.
She made her way to the hall and spotted him as she descended the final set of stairs, her eyes meeting his, she waved slightly. she walked over to him. "hello. Happy yule. you look good" she said as she got close.

Leonardo spotted Sky and waved towards her as she did to him. He blushed lightly at the compliment, actually feeling it for once. "Thank you," he said just a hint of a smile on his features which didn't even last a second. "You look lovely too," he complimented her, "it suits you," and he meant this in a very sincere manner.

Harmony smiled at the compliment. she had a feeling Leonardo actually meant it. she had tried hard. she usually did. tried to dress nice at the ball while still feeling like her. "thank you. you too." she said realising she had already aid that once the words were out. "lets go inside" she said offering out her hand/arm to him so they could go inside the hall together. "sos it feels like home" she said looking at all the snow and the pines and the snow, and was that ice skating? in a ball dress? that could be interesting to see

Leonardo nodded as she returned the compliment, understanding that she hadn't meant to say it like that, and ignoring it. He looked at her offered out arm and very tentatively took it. They were friends sure, and he was, via James and Jordie become more used to casual physical contact, but he didn't want to overstep. Even if she offered it. He glanced around the room. He figured that she must miss home. Leo noticed the snow, and pines, the ice skating which seemed out of place, but cool. "Do you want to dance?" he offered.

Harmony looked around the hall her herd almost rotating on her head as she took it in. She liked the summer Christmas decorations. but there was something about it that didn't feel like proper Christmas. this did. "Yes that would be fun" she said when he asked if she wanted to dance as they diverted toward the dance floor. it would be fun then they could go skating. she hadn't been skating in so long.

Leonardo was glad she agreed, he moved towards the dance floor and let her go to be able to dance, not wanting to overstep in case she didn't want to dance together in that manner. He was looking over at the ice skating, and thinking it might be fun. ”Have you ice-skated before?” he asked, motioning towards it, sure that if anyone had, it would be her. He hadn't, it was not a necessary skill for him. It looked a little dangerous, but maybe it could be fun?

Niamh felt leo let go of her arm she didn't say anything as they entered the dance floor feeling a sudden coolness where he had been holding. she always enjoyed dancing. it was like music for the body instead of the ears. All of the hues and tones making movement. "yes. i used to do it at school. have you ever skated?" she said, it had been one of the options for sport in winter. she had always preferred it to skiing. she started to dance being mindful of how much, or rather how little space she had. as she moved to the music next to leo.

Leonardo shook his head, glancing at it. "It cost money to do usually, my grandfather thought it was pointless," he said. It looked like it could be fun, though dangerous. He moved with her, not used to this sort of dancing but doing his best to mimick her. "We could try it?" he said, motioning to it. He knew she wasn't dressed for it. but he thought it could still be fun. Maybe. It was something people did for fun.

there were very few people sky disliked but leo's grandad was one of them. every thing she heard about him was something that just crushed good things out of the world. "but it is so fun and its so beautiful skating on the lake at night in the middle of the day" she said. spinning around with the music. "we should i could show you how. it isn't hard, have you rollerskated before" she said. though she was fairly sure she knew that the answer would be.

Leonardo didn't have the heart to tell her that his grandfather had not been a big fan of fun, in fact had really disliked it. Especially when it was about Leo having fun. He glanced at the rink and then back to her, they were dancing, they had both dressed nice. "I haven't," he said in reply to her question. "I'd like to try, ice skating," he said. If it was fun, and it was there, why not do it. "If you don't mind,"

Niamh was not particularly surprised when Leo said that he had also never been rilaskating before. She just nodded once to show that she had heard. She grinned as he said he wanted to try ice skating. ”let’s do it she said slowlynmanuvering off the dance floor. To where they collected skates. As she wondered where her skates were at home. make sure they are fastened tight. As you don’t want them to slip around on your feet.

Leonardo followed her to where they got the skates. He took some in his size and then sat down to change out of the formal shoes and into the skates. He nodded and made sure they were fastened tightly. The teen wasn't sure how he was going to walk in the skates. But people just appeared to be managing. He finished tying them and tried standing. He was unsteady on his feet. putting his arms out to balance himself.
