🌹 Rose Giving my girlfriend has an admirer

Eoghan was confused about the pink rose in his hand. He had no idea whether Lilith had recieved the rose from him yet or not, but either way he was going to have to make this one quite clear. "Lili?" he called out, trying to catch her away from the others in the Great Hall so that he could have a chance to explain. Then again, why did he feel the need to explain himself? No, someone else in the castle was about to have a bone to pick with Eoghan.

There was so much excitement going on today, everyone was buzzing with it from the rose deliveries. Lilith hadn't yet gotten any, but she didn't mind. She was sure she'd get at least one by the end of the day. Just then she heard a familiar voice call out her name and with a big smile she turned around to face her boyfriend. "Hi! Oh, what's wrong?" Her tone changing from happy to serious in an instant as she saw his confused face, did she have toilet paper on the bottom of her shoe? Had someone put a post it note on her back that said I'm stupid! Well something was up.

"Hey," he tried to put a smile on his face but to no avail. "You've got a rose," he said, lifting the pink one out from the collection he was on a mission to deliver. He wondered whether Lilith would assume he'd sent her a pink one, "I don't know if..," he paused, "it's not from me." He was quite sure that if she'd gotten his rose, he'd have heard about it.​

Lilith's confused smile turned to a confused frown as Eoghan pulled out the rose. It wasn't from him? Then who on earth? Pink? PINK? And they sent HER BOYFRIEND to deliver it. Taking the rose Lilith looked at it and then Eoghan, a million questions filling her mind. "But if... If it isn't from you? Then... Who? Why? Me? Pink? There has to be a mistake surely not?" Looking at the rose and trying to see if there was a note attached to it, but no. "No note? Or? I swear Antares I have no idea who sent this? Why would they send me a pink one? It doesn't make sense, maybe they got it mixed up. Has to be." There was simply no way, had she given someone the wrong idea? That would make her seem like a terrible person surely.

To be fair, Lilith seemed as surprised as Eoghan was. He shook his head, "I don't know who, it doesn't say." Whoever it was though didn't want to make themselves known. Perhaps it was someone that knew Lilith already had a boyfriend? Perhaps someone at the Truth or Dare game when he'd told the second years there about their relationship. Felix had Esme, William had Eurydice, Amory had Rose. Perhaps it was from Nox, Lumos or Jonah? None of which he knew very well. Then again, Eli had shouted at him the other day for putting Jonah down for embarrassing him, and it wouldn't surprise him if Jonah was too shy to say anything. He was going to keep a close eye on the Hufflepuff.​

Lilith huffed out, frustrated as her brain tried to work who had sent this rose. "You know what, if they won't even name themselves it must not be that serious? Maybe it's just a joke or to mess with me who knows." She wasn't sure who she was trying to convince but at least the rose was pretty. Tucking it hesitantly into the pockets of her robes she turned back to Eoghan. "Thank you for the delivery and sorry if it was weird..." Why was she apologizing? No clue.

"That or they know you're already with someone," Eoghan muttered under his breath, wondering if whoever it was assumed they could ruin their day. Maybe it was from Demi? Honestly that wouldn't surprise him either. "Don't worry about it," Eoghan did his best to wave it off. "Look, erm, let me know when you get mine yeah?" he added, knowing he had others to deliver but would no doubt see Lilith later when things had calmed down a bit.​

Lilith gave an odd look and then a nod, "Same when you get mine," she said with a blush before giving a quick wave of bye and continuing on her way, now very excited to see what his rose might hold.
