It was hard to describe what Wendall was feeling as he walked around the grounds of Hogwarts near the lakefront. Since speaking to Jenna he knew that he was going to have to confront the very thing that he’d been avoiding now for years, but it was only recently that he had realised it wasn’t fair. It wasn’t fair to him, it wasn’t fair to Lysander, and even if his.. friend? Wendall did know what they were at the moment… didn’t want to know him anymore then at least Wendall had to try and apologise for what he’d done to the Gryffindor who’d only ever looked out for him when he was younger. The Hufflepuff wasn’t going to be able to rest east until it was off his mind, and no matter the outcome of their conversation he knew that Lysander deserved this. He wasn’t sure where he could find him these days, except for the fact that he was the King of the Flowers (and a Captain and a Legilimens but what did that reallllllyyyy matter?) so maybe outside hadn’t been a bad place to start looking.

With the last days of Summer coming to an end, Lysander was spending his free time by the edge of the lake. Not that any season ever dissuaded him from visiting and trying to search for the eel or barter with merpeople, but now was the time to make the most out of the good weather (and procrastinate NEWT studies). He sat on the shore, skipping pebbles across the water's surface, and doing his best to ignore the forest looming behind him, reminding him of what he'd hidden inside. He'd have to venture back into the forest soon, but for now, he welcomed any other distractions. Such a Wendall. He didn't expect to see his former friend out here, and offered him a brief, polite smile out of familiarity, assuming he'd just pass on by. At one point, spending time with Wendall had been a great way to distract from things, but it had been years, and Wendall's withdrawal from everyone had turned him into a stranger. He missed him, but really, with everything else going on, he didn't know what to do about it.
