Professor Zhefarovich had been teaching at the school for about six years now, barely six years really. They have been very worthwhile for the professor, but he knew that those six years were some of the best in his life. He remained married faithfully to Cecily Zhefarovich nee Rambolt, the former Headmistress of this school. That was definitely not why he had gotten the job, but he had loved teaching Muggle Studies. Professor Zhefarovich wondered who the new professors were, and he looked around the staff table, sitting next to his half-brother. Professor Zhefarovich had seen so many professors come and go through the jobs, and he hoped that there would be some that actually stayed. Professor Zhefarovich wondered if Professor Hensel was with a woman yet, having not heard anything about his recent marriage to a very, very distant cousin.Professor Zhefarovich looked down at his robes, almost glad that he would end up dressing in muggle clothing here because of the profession that he had taught. The Muggle Studies professor continued to drink some pumpkin juice, hoping that someone would come along to break the awkward silence that the current one was enduring right about now. Maybe the Headmaster, or the Deputy Headmistress. Either would do.

Or even just the new or old Professors. His silver eyes went over the student body, knowing that his niece was the Head Girl this year. His brother, or rather half-brother, was at one point the Head Boy. Professor Zhefarovich looked around once more, before he thought that things were just too quiet. If it were a feast or a holiday, Professor Zhefarovich would have been dancing silly, like he did one year when he dressed like a cowboy, and danced with Professor Spenser. Oh that was a blast, and Professor Zhefarovich still thought that he had better moves than the Ravenclaw Head of House. Though in a joking a way. He started to eat some fries the house elves had so rightfully cooked for them. Professor Zhefarovich enjoyed all the food that this place had to offer. It definitely tasted better than Cecily's, but well, the cookies did anyway. Professor Zhefarovich started wanting some pie now, before he started to think of Desdemona Romanes, and Amauri Chevalier. 'They would make such a cute couple, but so would Desdemona and Grezhen! No telling which will get that cute Auror,' thought Professor Zhefarovich with a smile. He did not know why he had connected pie with that woman, but he just shrugged and continued to eat his French fries.

Effie was kind of tired today. It was strange because she thought she had gotten enough sleep last night. This seemed to happen a lot when she started to teach again after a long break. She ended up getting so used to staying up late with Bridgette and Rune that she slept in the next morning. When she was back at school and getting up early to teach classes, she was often tired because she had a hard time falling asleep. It didn't help that she was often lonely here. Even with all the students and other Professors she was close with, they just didn't fulfill the gap within her heart like her daughter and Rune seemed to. Effie wasn't even dating Rune but she was attached to him. Well, they may have been dating. What did it mean if two people had a child together and also happened to be living together? Effie didn't know because it wasn't like they had both agreed to become boyfriend and girlfriend? He just asked her to move in and she accepted. They sometimes acted like they were and couple and sometimes they didn't. It was hard for Effie to try and guess what they were and she was too shy to actually question Rune about it. One of these days she was determined to see if she could find out what was going on between her and the man she thought she was beginning to fall for. Life was going great for once and that made Effie miss home now more than ever. Letters were just not enough these days. Surely there were other Professors here that could understand what she was feeling. Having to be away from home so long and have little to no time to spend with family during the school year. It was horrible. At least Effie had her students to keep her distracted though. They were all she had besides teaching.

Clutched within the Arithmancy Professor's hand were a bag of some veggies that she brought to snack on while she got to work on grading some essay's. The Staff table seemed a little empty. Partially Effie hoped that more people would join along because then she could focus less on the papers and more on socializing which she really needed when she was missing her family so bad. "Afternoon Prod-er would you prefer I called you Professor Zhefarovich or Prodan?" Effie asked softly as she cocked her head to the side and sat down at the table. Where were all the Professors right now? Effie barely knew Prodan. He taught Muggle Studies and he was related to a family that hers was pretty close with. Yet she had never spoken to him except for a few times outside of classes or during social events like the Yule Ball. Effie was fairly shy and nervous around newer people. It would be easy for him to tell that she was a bit shy by the almost frightened way she looked at him. Prodan was a nice guy but, she hoped he didn't get mad if she called him by the wrong name. Some people were like that and she didn't want to upset him. Effie pulled out a burlap pouch and tugged some papers out of it softly as well as a Quill. If she got to talking the papers would be forgotten about. But since she was doing nothing now she figured she should at least try to get on top of things. A piece of carrot was put into her mouth and her different colored eyes stared at Prodan softly. Maybe some others would join them, but for now Prodan would make good company.

Having been silent all morning, Professor Styx saw no other reason to speak to his half-brother, one that seemed like he was nothing more than a black sheep in the family. A real failure. These were just Professor Styx's inner most thoughts, some that must never be uncovered with the use of magic. One would find very dark things in the mind of this Slytherin Head of House. Right now, Professor Styx was not eating or drinking anything, having pushed the plate and goblet aside as he had replaced the china with a rather thick book. If one looked at the pages, they would see that it was Bulgarian, and it was merely a history book over the great country. It was merely something to do before he went off to classes at some point. Professor Styx rarely socialized with anyone or anything, and even back at his home, he behaved the same way. It was not something that one could help, but it was just the way he was, closed off from the world. It takes his wife a long time just to get him to talk. However even now, she barely was in his mind, not as much as the knowledge from the books.

'Need someone to keep up with the house and kids,' thought Professor Styx as his gloved hand turned the page as he recently thought of Nicolette possibly being a professor. Her idiot of a brother was, but Professor Styx did not think of him too often either. As long as the professor stayed out of his business. It was never easy going to school with a Professor that was a relative to one's wife. Professor Styx could not help but overhear the approaching of Professor Snow, one of the very, very few professors that could get a few words out of the Death Eater. He had spoken to Professor Kingsley from time to time, but that was only regarding punishment of students. His eyes never leaving the page, he decided to cut off his brother with a few cold words, "I'd imagine we use first names for coworkers, Effie." However even outside of class, Professor Styx called Professor Zhefarovich everything under the sun, from moron to idiot, and somehow the man answered to him. Even called him a queen at one point seeing as Professor Styx had to witness the man's scream. Doubting anything has changed, the Death Eater continued to read, the only thing moving were his onyx eyes across the pages, and his hand as he flipped the paper. Not even his robes moved.

Cyndi was famished, but every time she'd started to head down to the Great Hall for a bite something had interrupted her. First, a letter from her husband had arrived, an interruption she didn't mind at all. The other interruptions were not as fun or entertaining. She'd had to settle an argument between two first years who were vowing they would never be friends, though she knew they would be best friends again in a matter of hours. Next had come a long search for a lost toad, which had finally been found on the mantelpiece of the cooling fireplace. Then, as she'd finally made her way out of the common room, she had realized that she was still in her robe and pajamas. Red-faced and more than a little frazzled, Professor Kingsley had considered continuing downstairs rather than go back into the room to deal with more student issues. Sighing heavily, she had turned and re-entered the common room, an expression on her face that showed she was no longer in the mood.

Changing quickly into a pair of pants and a gray blouse, Cyndi threw on a plain black robe and left again. She heard several students call out to her but she didn't stop to see if it was a greeting or query. The professor beelined for the Great Hall, letting her nose guide her. When she entered and was nearly at the staff table, Cyndi discovered several professors there. She nodded her head at them, though she didn't think Kalif noticed because he was reading. She still couldnt believe that he was related to the man sitting beside him. They were so completely unalike or at least she thought they were. She'd actually never spoken to him much. Not that she had spent hours convetsing with Kalif or anything. Their conversations always involved punishing students. The third person was the hufflepuff head, Effie Snow. Cyndi didn't know her very well, but she seemed nice enough. Buttering a bagels, Cyndi took a bite and chewed. When she'd finished, she spoke. "Anyone else feel like using Silencio on their students today?"

Vesma was already there, just hardly notice from any of the other Professor she sat way down below by the corner of the table. She preferred it here mostly cause it tends to be quiet rather than sitting in the middle were everyone was busy chatting. From the looks of the professors that were already present or just got through coming here, Vesma starting judging by their looks alone. It was bad on her part to go by the cover and not whom they are that counted, she done all through her life since Hogwarts Scotland. Never has she gone wrong judging by looks, so she must be doing it right than in her case?

The woman that just flustered in went by Professor Kingsley, she hadn't a clue what her first name was, she look nice not friendly nice rather two sided. The blonde, she remembered one Hufflepuff student discussing to her by the entrance the other day, she was very pretty. If not mistaken, Vesma concluded she had the blood of veela in her. Now the gentleman reading the book scream the Slytherin stereotype. She could be wrong, if he was reading a book during breakfast made her think less Slytherin and more Ravenclaw. She enjoyed a good book, so he maybe nice? The last one left her stump, for a while she stayed there wondering over a bowl of hot oatmeal. She ate half the sugar maple bowl and treated herself to a big glass of squeeze orange juice. Perhaps she should stop judging by looks and built up the courage to get to know each and everyone of them in due time.
