Quinn had been working as a professor at Hogwarts for a while now, and she was enjoying it so far. Classes and work were slowly picking up and getting slightly busier by the minute. Which Quinn didn't mind, it had kept her busy for a bit. She didn't really interact much with her colleagues, but she had hoped for that to change. It had been the evening after classes finished but before dinner and Quinn was exhausted from the day's work of lessons. She knew she needed some coffee right now. When she entered the professor's common room, she made her way towards where all the teas and coffees were and poured herself some coffee.

Gabrielle's holiday had been pretty good, terrible date notwithstanding, but she was glad to be back to teaching. It was still taking a bit of adjusting to get back into the groove of it, not sleeping late and staying up watching documentaries and dramas, but she was getting there. At least there was coffee. She had a pot in her office but had run out, and was looking for an excuse to get to the lounge anyway. Gabrielle was not the most sociable person, usually a bit standoffish and lost in her own world, but actually being in a steady job with coworkers she thought it might be nice to talk to them. There might be more in common than she thought. "Merlin's bloody beard," Gabrielle groaned, taking a sip of coffee and giving the other professor at the pot a wry smile. Professor Mercury, if she recalled correctly. "Don't know how they'd expect us to get through week one without coffee."

Quinn looked up when she saw someone walk in. The professor didn't interact with her co-workers often. Mostly in her office or doing something else, so it was nice to see other faces that weren't students. She chuckled a little at her colleague's comment. "Right? Coffee is a need and a must to get through all of it" Quinn says with a small chuckle.

((one day ill have consistent muse))

Gabrielle smiled and nodded at the comment, taking a far longer sip and holding up a hand. She wasn't going to be too rude or antisocial. She wasn't exactly elegant or the most well mannered person, but she wasn't going to completely pass up a chance to get to know coworkers. They all seemed to lead such solitary lives, herself included. And while weekends at home in her dingy flat with muggle technology were fun to her, it did get a bit lonely. "Juniors or seniors?" Gabrielle asked, sympathy in her tone. She wasn't sure what was more difficult. The boredom and rabble of first years who didn't want to be in class, or the stress and drama of seventeen year old who thought NEWTs were the end of the world and that every relationship was as romantic as Romeo & Juliet, without consideration for how that turned out.
