Becoming too caught up in the task of delivering roses to make other people happy that valentine's day had resulted in Nixon forgetting to find a date to the Valentine's dance for himself. This meant he was going to attend alone and risk looking like a loser to the rest of the school. Regardless of the fact he would only go with a friend if he remembered to ask someone, rather than an actual 'date', it still meant he would have a date in some sense of the word and thereby and seem cool to everyone else. The mere thought of not going with anyone and seeming like a loser was enough to scare him from attending at all and he almost stayed in his common room for the entire night. Though the Hufflepuff had eventually managed to swallow all his worries, chosen a suit to wear, and then arrived at the great all on time for the festivities to start, believing that not participating in the dance would be one million times worse than going alone. At least if he attended he had the chance to end his day on a high note instead of moping to himself.

Nixon walked in the hall, looking around the decorations in varying shades of red and pink, before walking to the snack table and helping himself to a handful of chocolate hearts. He chewed the sweets, and grabbed another handful, then walked to one of the heart shaped tables and sat down. From where he was sitting, he could see everyone arrive. He hoped that sooner or later he would spot someone familiar so he could talk to them and make the night more worthwhile.

oops! wrong account :woot:

With the task of delivering roses done and over with, the young Ravenclaw made her way to the Great Hall to attend the Valentines Dance. She did not have a date just like Yule Ball but she was sure to have fun just like the last time. With this in mind, Alexis entered the hall, stopping at the massive doors to admire the decor related to the event. The music was playing romantic songs in the background and some students were already in the dance floor. She looked around, thinking what she could do at the same time looking for some friends. She wondered how the people she sent roses to reacted to her notes.

Jocelynn was happy to go to another dance. This time she wasn't going with Liam, it had been fun at the Yule Ball but this dance seemed less formal, like if you aren't actually dating it's cool to go alone or with friends. So she opted to find friends at the dance to spend the evening with. And she wasn't disappointed. She could see Nixon, well the back of him anyways, a little ways away. She wondered if he liked her rose as she had liked his it had been sweet. Running up behind him Jocelynn jumped on his back like a piggyback ride, "NIXON!" She yelled out not sure how many people were looking but she didn't care. Seeing Alexis not that far off she pointed her finger. "Onward brave horse! We shall go to our friend Alexis, giddyup!" Jocelynn said laughing her head off, she wasn't even too sure how much longer she would be able to hold onto Nixon without his help. Somehow climbing trees and climbing people were two different things.

Nixon stood up from his seat with a handful of chocolate hearts, continuing to eye the decorations. He was about to move to a more lively part of the hall and find a friend to talk to when someone jumped on his back, screaming his name. He could only assume it was Jocelynn and soon realized his assumption was right when she spoke again, telling him he was a horse and urging him forward to where their friend Alexis was standing. Nixon swallowed his remaining chocolate hearts and moved his arms to secure Jocelynn's legs before following her directions. He ran as fast as he could given the person on his back, approaching his other friend with a wide smile covering his face. His night had certainly become a million times more fun in the space of thirty seconds and he was not about to complain about it one bit. "Alexis!" Nixon shouted as he approached his Ravenclaw friend. "Love the dress, you look pretty as always!" He said. "Jocelynn here is a bit ugly don't ya think?" Nixon then joked, playing around as he shuffled his friend clinging to his back.

Alexis' eyes roamed around until they settled on a funny pair running toward her. She laughed when she realized it was Nixon and Jocelynn, who was in Nixon's back. The Ravenclaw stepped to the side just in case they would come barreling to her. Trying to steady herself from laughing, she greeted them all, well, she gave Nixon a hug and tried to assess how to greet Jocelynn. "Hey, guys. Jo,come down for a moment, will you so that I can greet you well.",she giggled. When Nixon complimented her dress, she blushed a bit and covered it by turning around to show them her dress."Always the compliments,Nix.But,thank you. You look handsome as always.",she added.Alexis laughed when Nixon said that Jocelynn was ugly and he looked like he was trying to shake her off of his back.
