Hair: Max has dark brown hair that often sticks up in weird angles after wearing a snowboarding helmet all day (because safety first!) but otherwise it's usually fairly neatly combed upwards.Eyes: His eyes are an icy blue that resemble the snowy mountains he loves to snowboard on.

Skin Tone: Slightly pale because he spends so much time in the mountains where he wears full gear, so he hardly ever tans. If anything he gets a tan line on his nose and face from his snowboarding goggles.
Style: He's most comfortable in anything that is simple and practical, most often just a hoodie and pants of some sort, although if needed he doesn't mind wearing a fancy suit, since he's gotten used to it for all the different events he's had to attend for his snowboarding 'career' so far.
Other Distinguishing Features: A few freckles on his nose and a small scar on his neck from when he crashed into trees while snowboarding when he was little.

Personality
Good Traits: He's very passionate about things, so once he finds something that he enjoys or wants to do, he'll go at it 100% until he finishes it.Bad Traits: His arrogance and lack of patience, because growing up he's always known he was amazing at snowboarding since it came naturally to him, so whenever something isn't working out for him straight away, he gets frustrated and angry at it. He also hates anything that he believes could come between him and snowboarding and tries to get rid of it in any way he can without giving it a chance *ahem Hogwarts*.
Strengths: Even though he lacks patience and gets frustrated when things don't go his way, he still keeps going, with the anger making him even more determined to achieve it. But although he might achieve his goal in the end, he's not always the nicest person to be around while he's working towards it.
Weaknesses: Since he's grown up his whole life being sure that he was the best at snowboarding and being treated like so, he doesn't take it too kindly when people decide to be better than him at something, and compete with him, so, like a true Slytherin, he goes to any lengths to be better than them, even if it means hurting them in the process.
Desires: To be the best snowboarder in the world, and become professional and make a career out of it.
Fears: That his snowboarding skills will worsen throughout his time at Hogwarts and when he goes back to it he'll be nowhere near as good as before, effectively losing out on his dream to become professional someday.
Pet Peeves: He can't stand it when people don't believe him when he says how good he is at snowboarding, or just disregard all the skill that goes into it and simply call it 'luck'.
Background
Max was born and grew up in the US, more specifically in Oregon, where his family decided to stay due to Mt Hood, where he and his family could snowboard and ski year round, unlike in other states. He had begun skiing when he was only a few months old and could barely stand, but has enjoyed it since that day. He also travelled a lot his whole life, usually going to various states for competitions, tournaments or just a change of scenery and tracks for snowboarding, but his family always returned to Oregon.However, when he was 8, his parents decided to move to NZ to be closer to family who were going through tough times, but decided that the laid-back lifestyle was different but in a good way compared to the US, so they decided to stay. They chose to live in Queenstown because of the various skiing and snowboarding areas, and throughout the summer they enjoy the lake and the various toursit and local attractions in Queenstown and Wanaka.
When they initially moved to NZ, Max couldn't believe it and hated it, because the US had far better mountains than the one in NZ, so when he moved he thought his dream of being a professional snowboarder was over. Over the next 2 years, he trained harder than ever before and his snowboarding thankfully didn't get worse, but also it didn't get better, which frustrated him no end. However when he got his letter to go to Hogwarts he thought that that was definitely the end, that being able to snowboard only a few times a year during the holidays would mean his skill would decrease and he could never become a professional snowboarder.
Before leaving to Hogwarts he tried tons of different things to try and make sure he didn't have to go to Hogwarts, like hiding out in various places, slashing his parents' car tyres and faking heaps of sicknesses. Unfortunately none of it worked and he still arrived at Hogwarts, being placed into the Slytherin house. But from the moment he got sorted, and even when he first stepped onto the train he's been plotting ways he can escape and get expelled from Hogwarts so he can return to living the life he's loved for the past 11 years.
