Sully wouldn't say he was intentionally wandering the hallways to try and bump into Chloë, but if he happened to catch her between classes right now, he wouldn't complain. He'd realized the worst thing about Chloë not being in the same year as him was that he couldn't talk to her during class. And he'd been wanting to talk to her a lot lately, whether it was just little jokes he thought of in class, or about other stuff. Maybe one thing in particular.

Spotting Chloë red hair as a group of students moved past, Sully trotted over to her, jamming his fists in his pockets as he did so, the image of casual, for sure. "Chloë, hey, got a minute?" He asked, checking over his shoulder before deciding he didn't really care who was actually around right now. He'd asked Chloë out a bunch, so finally asking her to be his actual girlfriend was no big deal.

Chloë had been in a pretty good mood lately, even if there almost always seemed to be multiple things on her mind. Mostly it was keeping track of her schoolwork, quidditch and keeping up with her friends and so far she felt like she was managing those things quite well. Sure, her birthday had passed and if it hadn't been for her parents and brother sending her something she might've actually forgotten about it herself but she couldn't really be bothered by that. Something else that had been on top of her mind mixed in with all the things she was used to managing though, was Sully. They had gone to the yule ball together, hung out a couple of times during the break and had even attended the valentine's dance together, sort of, and by now she was sure that she liked him. She wasn't as sure about what exactly was going on between the two of them though and also didn't know how to go about asking him, especially since he seemed so casual about it all.

Being lost in thought as she was Chloë had mindlessly been following another group of students moving down the hall, only refocussing her attention on what was actually going on around her when her stream of thoughts was interrupted by the sound of a familiar voice. "Hey," She smiled at Sully, her brain taking a second to process what he had said to her before she actually responded. "Uh, yeah, sure. What's up?".

Sully kept his fists jammed in his pockets, rocking back and forth on his heels as he smiled at Chloë. "Yeah, just real quick," He started saying. Honestly, now that he was here to ask Chloë out properly, Sully was pleased to realize he wasn't that nervous. If she said yes, then he was all good, and if she said no then well. Sully couldn't imagine she'd wanna say no. "I was just thinking you should be my girlfriend, like properly and stuff," He said with a shrug. Like this was all no big deal. Cause, it wasn't. Not really. Not like he'd thought about this stuff every time they hung out or high five in practice or anything.

Since Sully had asked her if she had a minute Chloë wasn't sure what she had expected him to say, figured he'd just have a quick question about practice or whatever. Needless to say that the words that came out of his mouth instead caught her off guard, leaving her to just look at him for a second as she tried to wrap her head around what he just said. Girlfriend? Did he actually just say that? He actually said that. Chloë could almost feel her heart skip a beat at the thought but at the same time part of her couldn't resist messing with him a bit. Mostly because he seemed so casual about it whilst she felt like it was kind of a big deal to say something like that. "Well were you thinking.." She cocked her head slightly to the side out of curiousity, a small smile still visible on her face. "Or are you asking?"

Sully had been so busy being casual about the whole affair that he had to double-take when Chloë asked a follow up question. He spent a moment gawking at her before smothering a laugh into his shoulder. It was stuff like this that made him like Chloë all the more. "Both?" He said hopefully after a minute. "Maybe I'm hopefully suggesting it?" He added, grin growing. "Or persistently insisting?" Whatever bubble of forced casualty Sully had tried to craft earlier had popped and left him with some a bit more dorky and giddy, but Chloë hadn't said no yet, so Sully figured he was still in the game. "Will you be my girlfriend, then?"

Chloë grinned when Sully gawked at her after her question. "Oh, insisting?" She chuckled at his response, jokingly raising an eyebrow at the last part of it. This definitely sounded more like him than the whole casual posture he seemed to have going on earlier and she was glad he seemed to have dropped that. She liked him after all, silly sides included. Even if she had mentioned him asking herself she still couldn't help but to suddenly feel all warm and fuzzy when the words actually left his lips. "Yeah," Chloë started, feeling a smile spread on her face and the heat rise to her cheeks simultaneously. "I'd be happy to." She gave a little nod to support her answer, beaming up at him.
