Please complete the following to make up your missed lessons and they will be marked before the end of the semester:

Name:

Lesson #:

Name: Eurydice Nightray
Year: 3rd
Lesson #: 1

Third year was a little odd but exciting. This was the year that they all apparently shared classes now so she had options between sitting with her cousins, her friends, or her boyfriend. It was probably a good thing that she only had two classes this semester. She'd decided to drop everything else that she knew she wasn't ever going to do, or need ever. Professor Waldgrave's absence was surprising but at least they were going to be taught by Nox's mum which would be interesting. It was a little weird she supposed that they were studying creatures in Defense and it made her wonder if these creatures that they were studying were considered dark. They were after all studying Defense Against the Dark Arts. So perhaps they were indeed dark creatures. Werewolves. Apparently they belonged to that category. Which she supposed wasn't all that surprising considering how deadly the mindless creatures were during the full moon. As the class ended, Eury packed up her things and left the room, mulling over the topic in her head.

Name: Eurydice Nightray
Year: 3rd
Lesson #: 2

With Defense Against the Dark Arts being a class where all of her cousins were there, it was easy to get away from Sayuri to instead sit with William for a change. She listened as Professor Adler read out the questions and Eurydice took note of them and wrote down the answers. Whoever decided to ask if a werewolf could be kept as a pet, though was just plain stupid. They may be dark creatures once a month, but they were people the rest of the time. If Eury was asked, that person who asked was darker than werewolves. Eurydice’s quill stilled. She stared at her own handwriting for a moment before shaking her head and continuing on until the end of the class.

Name: Astrid Freecss
Year: 1st
Lesson #: 1

Astrid swayed into the classroom as if she'd wandered in completely by accident. She wondered if it was noticeable that she'd left her Gryffindor robes behind. It was so much easier to move around without it and considering they were learning Defense, well, it was prudent that she be able to move properly right? It was fine, she was wearing a Gryffindor tie and a bright red ribbon to signify her house. If the professor had said anything, Astrid didn't hear or paid attention, lost in her own world. In fact, she was pretty much not paying attention for most of the lesson. Well, she'd heard the professor's name but otherwise she was tapping her feet silently to a random beat. Even the mention of homework was completely lost to her. Oh well. She did hum questioningly when people started to stand and leave. Was the lesson over already? Huh. That was fast. Oh well.

She did eventually find out about the homework.
Is it still illegal if I cast a mildly horrible spell and then say IT'S A PRAAAANK?

Name: Sayuri Edogawa
Year: 3rd
Lesson #: 2,1

Sayuri went to class and listened to the professor talk about werewolves. She thought some of the questions were stupid. And the others could be answered if her classmates just opened their books. Still she took notes until they could leave.

Sayuri was just glad they didn't have Waldgrave this year. Still she had doubts about this new professor especially since she heard that this was the cockroach's mother. She heard from Hinata though that the father wasn't bad so maybe there was hope yet. She wrote down her question about werewolves before leaving the class.

Name: Jonah Edogawa
Year: 3rd
Lesson #: 2, 3

Jonah went to class and listened to Lumos' mom talk about werewolves. He understood the lesson, thankfully since it was about creatures. He had more notes than usual too.
Jonah hated this class. He didn't want to know what his boggart was and seeing a Lumos-ghost wasn't really something he needed. He didn't want to think about his boggart either. Still he watched the professor perform the spell—Ridikkulus—and heavily considered skipping class when the boggart lesson rolled around.

Name: Sayuri Edogawa
Year: 3rd
Lesson #: 3

Facing her boggart was both simultaneously something Sayuri was looking forward to and not. She was disinterested when she saw the ghost of the cockroach come out of the wardrobe. Maybe it won't be that bad. Making her worst fear - whatever it is, she wasn't quite sure yet - into something funny was a little ironic. She wondered what her siblings' would be. She remained for the rest of the lesson, listening and watching.

Name: Angelo Dela Cruz
Year: 2
Lesson #: 3

Angelo went to Defense Against the Dark Arts. He wasn't sure if he wanted to learn this spell but the school was weird anyway. And he didn't fancy failing a class because he didn't want to learn what he thought could be a mean spell. It didn't sound fun to him at all. He stood with Aaron and practiced the spell on the dummy. It took a few tries but he eventually succeeded.

Name: Julian Nightray
Year: 2
Lesson #: 3

Julian entered the classroom and listened to the professor discuss the Trip Jinx. A fairly useful spell, especially for the Duelling Tournament next semester. Since there was a chance he was going to sign up for that, he went on to practice with the dummy, doing his best to succeed at the spell. By the end of the lesson, he was successfully casting the Trip Jinx at the dummy more often than not.

Name: Daisuke Kaster
Year: 2
Lesson #: 4,3

Daisuke went to class and took a seat to listen to Professor Adler ask them about the knee-reversing hex. He took notes on it from the book since there wasn't really anything discussed. He wrote down his answer to her question and handed it in at the end of class.

Daisuke arrived in class and took a seat to watch and listen to Professor Adler demonstrate the lesson—the Trip Jinx. When it was time for them to practice, he went towards a dummy off to the side and cast the spell on it. By the end of the lesson he managed it once.

Name: Evan D'Aramitz
Year: 2nd
Lesson #: 1
Evan hurried into the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, a bit on the late side. He hoped he didn't miss anything; he reflected. He sat in the nearest open seat and opened his notebook to write notes on the lesson. He looked up as the professor introduced themselves, explaining a little about how they might have been expecting someone else as the teacher, which Evan scratched his head at. He thought they were supposed to have a different teacher this year. Maybe he was wrong.

In any case, it wasn't really his business. He started taking notes as the Professor asked about the definition of a jinx verses a curse. As far as Evan knew, a jinx was a spell that caused minor damages, while curses were darker and lasted longer. He found out and kept taking notes.

Name: Evan D'Aramitz
Year: 2nd
Lesson #: 2
Evan hopped into his chair, eager to learn more about Defense as Professor Adler-Cade stood at the front of the room and began lecturing them on the first jinx they'd be learning this term. "Locomotor Wibbly," Evan whispered under his breath as he stood with some of his classmates in order to practice their spells on the dummies.

Evan waited his turn and then pointed his wand at the dummy. "Locomotor Wibbly!" he stated firmly. The legs of the dummy shook a little but then fell still. "Locomotor Wibbly!" he cast again. This time the dummy's legs shook and kept shaking, until he cast, "Finite."

Name: Evan D'Aramitz
Year: 2nd
Lesson #: 3
Evan hoped, as he hurried into the classroom, that being late wasn't going to be a regular thing for him. He slid into his seat and looked up as Professor Adler-Cade began talking about the jinx they'd be learning for this week. It was the Tripping Jinx, and this time, all of his classmates had to try out on the dummies at least once.

He was glad for the excuse to practice on the dummies again. He focused on the dummy - imagining tripping his father before his father could hit him again - and cast the spell. The dummy immediately tripped over itself, and Evan grinned. He could protect himself and his brother! His father didn't need to know that he couldn't practice magic over the summer.

Name: Evan D'Aramitz
Year: 2nd
Lesson #: 4
Evan realized he was just going to be late for every Defense Lesson, wasn't he? He slid into his seat, embarrassed at himself and his untimely appearances. He looked up as Professor Adler-Cade went to the front of the classroom and began lecturing about the Knee-Reversing Jinx.

Evan wrote down some notes on why and how the Knee-Reversing Jinx might have been made for. He imagined that someone wanted to either play a prank, or cause their opponent to panic during a duel. He imagined that someone like Loki, known for his mischief, could have easily created this spell just to mess with his opponents.

He then decided to try out the spell and went up to the dummies. He whipped out his wand, casting the spell as he imagined himself doing this to his father, and causing him to panic as his knees reversed. The dummy's knees reversed, and then unreversed as Evan cast, "Finite."

Name: Sayuri Edogawa
Year: 3
Lesson #:
5

Sayuri didn't like this professor. At first she thought that it was better that Waldgrave wasn't around, but she soon realized, better the devil you know. Facing a boggart in front of every single person in their year. Utterly stupid and inconsiderate. Just lulled them into a false sense of security by using training dummies for other spells but of course the professor was exploiting them into showing their fear for all the class to see in exchange for a grade. Seeing her siblings' fear was fine—they were family. But she didn't even want them to see hers. Showing everyone. Sayuri absolutely hated this professor for this exploitation. What else is there to expect from this school anyway? Still she stayed quiet, fuming as she watched her siblings' fear be broadcasted to the world and then it was her turn. There was no laughter in her head and just a burning rage as her fear was shown to everybody. A family portrait. Her siblings and her parents all in the photo, laughing and talking. Her nowhere to be found. Before anyone could understand, she cast the spell, "Riddikulus," with an intensity, and paint splattered all over like someone splattered different colors all over. And then she left to sit beside Eli. No sense trying to find Jonah.

Name: Angelo Dela Cruz
Year: 2
Lesson #: 4,2

Angelo went to class and listened to the professor ask them about the knee-reversing hex. There wasn't really anything discussed and they were just asked to write down what they think it was for—not that Angelo thought there was really a specific use they would have been made for. It seemed painful. He wrote that he thought it would be useful to escape and decided to read his book to search for answers. He left when the class was done.
Angelo arrived in class and stared at the dummies that were in the classroom. It was strange that they would be practicing on them after having been told last year to practice on each other. It was like the school couldn't decide how to have them do schoolwork which was most definitely odd. Still, he listened to the professor discussing the class and then stood to go a dummy and practice the Jelly Legs Jinx on it. It took a few tries but eventually he was managing to cast the spell on them.

Name: Lorcan Rossi
Year: 1
Lesson #: 5, 3

Lorcan went to class and made a face at being told they were going to take a test. He took a seat and took out his quill and ink—still can't get used to writing with them—and then started answering the test. He only knew some of the answers but he didn't think he did too bad by the time he submitted it.

Lorcan arrived in Defense Against the Dark Arts and listened to the professor talk about two spells they would be learning today. Admittedly, he was still not used to the concept of spells and magic even though he was well... he was going to a magic school. He's not really sure what a stunning spell is supposed to look like. Or how he would know if he was doing it right. But he did cast the spell on the dummy, yelling "Stupefy" with flair each time, thinking it would help. He didn't know how he should practice the protection spell either but one problem at a time.
