Three years in, and Susie still didn't understand why she wasn't allowed to practice magic over the holidays. How was she supposed to retain anything when she couldn't cast any spells for six weeks? It was hard enough when she practised every day! She'd done what she could, reading over her notes in the evenings, practising the incantations without her wand, and so on, but it had apparently been for nothing, because she couldn't even lock a door any more. Colloportus wasn't supposed to be an advanced spell. It was an important one, however, and after a few miserable hours spent trying and failing to lock her suitcase, she finally made her way downstairs to visit Professor Grayveson.
