Avie had decided he was bored the moment he had opened his eyes that morning. The teen had known he had things to do today, but he didn't want to do any of it. Instead the teen had decided that he needed to figure out how best to have fun on just such a boring day. He had decided that he would just take some of the old, less good rocks that he had intended to throw away and throw them at people as they left the library as he sat hidden, though not so greatly, currently. The teen had gathered up some rocks and whenever there was movement he pelted a few rocks their way, laughing to himself when a rock made contact, he never threw them that hard, they would hurt a little bit never enough really to make a mark which was why Avie wanted. He might be a prefect, but it wasn't like he was going to start acting different because of a badge pinned on his chest, no, Avie would remain the same after all he only had a few more years left at the school to just have fun, the wider world as his aunt reminded him was a nasty place, whatever she could possibly mean by nasty.

The slytherin prefect therefore was amusing himself doing something that was exceedingly childish, but he was sure would also help him in finding Marcel, whom he had not yet seen, he was on the same floor as the hufflepuff common room, and he was sure that he could linger outside the room, but the teen hadn't wanted to do that. Too tempted to just go into the common room to find his friend, instead all he did was throw rocks and if he ended up seeing him then that was a definite bonus for just about everyone, or well, for himself and perhaps maybe Marcel whom he would avoid hitting with rocks, everyone else might not be too happy with the prefect's choice of a past time. However it was not like they could actually do anything about it, they couldn't really see him, and though the fact it was rocks easily traceable to him he was sure it would all be fine. Hopefully soon he would see his friend and they could do something fun together! Avie just wanted to have fun, and he wanted to see his best hufflepuff friend.

Marcel woke up early that day, he wanted to finish the birthday present he was making for his father before he was going to leave the cozy and warm common room for breakfast. Marcellus knelt down besides his bed and got a large piece of colored paper from underneath it. The colored paper looked cheerful, with here and there bits of glitter on it and big yellow and black letters saying "HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD, I LOVE YOU" on the top. The fifteen year old stood up, smiling brightly at the present. Marcel walked out of the dorm room and into the common room, taking place on a stool behind an empty desk. He laid the paper on the table, grabbed drawing pencils from a drawer and started drawing himself, his father, a big birthday cake that had forty-five candles on it, and some balloons here and there.

One hour later he was done with the present and put it on the same spot, underneath his bed, again. After combing his hair, washing his face and brushing his teeth, Marcellus put on his casual clothes and was ready to go to the Great Hall. He walked down the stairs and out of the Hufflepuff common room, now walking in the fourth floor corridor.

Avie had always enjoyed throwing rocks, he had always liked playing target practice with his cousins, and also with Lucien, but they played it less, or well, it was really no longer Avie who was the target, not that he'd ever minded such a thing, though he did like being able to throw the rocks, it did hurt a lot less. He had been waiting, and waiting, and if it weren't for what he was wasting his time doing, the teen knew full well that he would've left, the boy never lingered much once he got bored and that was just a fact of his life, why bother sticking around if he was bored. The teen continued to aim his stone more carefully, and then noticed who just stepped out of the Hufflepuff common room, Marcel! He laughed slightly in excitement over seeing his good friend and then with a tight gripped on the rock in his hand, and took careful aim, throwing it directly at Marcel before turning back round and then hiding, if it hit his friend, which he was sure that it would be would be able to and just hide, laughing and waiting, throwing another one for good measure. Trying to ensure that he wouldn't be spotted, though if Marcel was hit by the rock, he would probably be able to guess that it was Avie was was responsible for it.

Marcel just got out of the Hufflepuff common room when something hard hit him on his stomach. The boy looked down to see what had hit him and saw a stone on the ground. ''What the hell?'' he mumbled looking around to where the stone came from, even looking at the ceiling. It took Marcel a while before realizing where the stone came from and who threw it. He took the stone from the ground and grinned, if Avie was going to hide the least Marcel could do was have a little fun. ''Hey, Avery!'' The Hufflepuff shouted, using Avie's first name to make it sound serious. ''You threw Rockie at me, dumbass!'' He looked around the corridor to see if his friend had fallen for the prank.

Avie had managed to hit him square in the stomach and he had to cover his mouth to stop barrels of laughter erupting from within him. He remained hidden, no matter how badly it looked to his friend, just waiting to see if his friend realised that it was him, he didn't expect the hey avery which startled the slytherin so much so that he peaked round just as he noted the serious expression and then the serious words, Rockie? Had he just thrown Rockie, the teen checked his pockets and couldn't find it and he loved that rock so much, he would never throw Rockie, "No I didn't!" the boy exclaimed as he emerged from his hidden spot and then ran to his friend, trying to spot the animated rock, but then remembered that Rockie was with Lucien in the dorm, "Rockie's back in the dorm, that's not him," the teen told his friend in a tone of thinking that his friend just hadn't known who Rockie was, "Plus, Rockie's bigger and he can move, none of these rocks can move silly," Avie added in a very matter of fact tone, not at all picking up on the prank which Marcel was playing.
