Months had passed and though communication via owl was constant, nothing would compare to physical contact. Rhianne and Robert had been inseparable since they got back together. They spent all the available time they had from Rob's work and after her shop hours. With this in mind,Rhianne decided to surprise her boyfriend with a visit in UK. Sure, she could have told him that she would be going there but there was no fun in it.

Now that she was already here just at the end of the street where Rob was staying, she could not contain her excitement of seeing his reaction. It was almost evening,Rhianne was hoping she would not be disturbing him with anything that his employer instructed him.Slowly, she made her to the house which was about three, fours away from where she stood. As it was still early, there were still people out and about, including what seemed to be a couple talking outsideclose enough to her destination. As she neared them, she could not help but notice that the man resembled Robert but with longer hair.Thinking it was just another person, she continued on.That was until she was just behind his companion and Rhianne could already his face up close. Stood shocked and slightly bothered, all that came out of her mouth was,"Rob?",as her eyes went from her boyfriend to his companion. Why she was bothered was because her boyfriend's acquaintance was in fact a woman.A young woman to be specific.

[adminapproval=#11141811]Going out and grabbing a drink with Robert Kain had been innocent enough, and Elowen had forgotten what it was like to go out without the intentions of getting hammered and going home with a stranger. The blonde continued to hang out with Robert and a week later they had gone out to grab coffee, and chat about work. It gave them both something to do, and Elowen's therapist told her it was helpful to her process, so she didn't turn it down. Besides, if the blonde was honest she wouldn't have minded turning the friendship into a one or two nighter - nothing with strings attached but the man was attractive. So when she dressed to be out with him she dressed well. The pink skirt was easy to see with her coat open for the moment, and they were stood outside his front door for a moment enjoying the mild weather and talking. She had just begun a story form her last week of work in Hungary. "So anyways, there I was, face to face with this Hungarian Horntail mom whom had woken up in the middle of trying to fix the wound from the poachers. She is not happy, and to make her instincts worse, she is sitting on her eggs. I'm not kidding." She said with a grin, forgetting how nice it felt to tell her stories to people who hadn't seen worse in the field.

As she was about to continued the story a female voice said the name Rob, and Elowen turned her hair, thin wisps of hair brushing off her shoulder. She gave a friendly, if not awkward smile to the older woman then looked at her newest friend. "Friend of yours?" She asked with a questioning smile.

Even though Robert Kain loved his job, he couldn't deny it was hard to be so far away from his friends and family and life he'd left behind on the other side of the world. With four months left of his contract to this particular family before he had to make the choice of whether to continue on, it wasn't a decision he needed to complete just yet. After the incident with the kids a few days ago, the man had taken Elowen up on her offer and had joined, grateful for the adult company that wasn't focused around the children's needs. With a soda in his hand, he was smiling down at the blonde, his eyebrows raised as he tried to picture being quite so close to one of the Dragons. Her life was so interesting and exciting in the world of magic, and he'd asked her many questions about how she'd come to be a Magizoologist and the types of creatures she got to work with. Taking a sip from his drink, he glanced up and over Elowens shoulder at a passing figure, but it wasn't until he took a second look, more closely this time and with words to match, that he realised who had joined. It took him a second to gain his speech. Why was Rhianne all the way over in Europe? One side of his mouth liftiled into a smile, eyes never parting from the brunette as he set down his beverage. "Something like that," he replied cooly. He was dressed in his pale blue jeans, black shirt layered with a dark jacket and practically bounced the few feet that separated him and his girlfriend. "Rhi," he said softly once he was beside her, one arm quickly round her shoulders and the other round her waist as he pulled her into a tight hug. He knew he'd missed the woman but perhaps didn't realise quite how much as the sense of comfort and familiarity flooded back to him at their embrace. "I've missed you," he added quietly into her ear before pulling back to look into her face. The one he'd grown so accustomed to seeing everyday before he'd had to depart. He gave her a small kiss square on the lips, wanting her to know he'd missed her but not wanting to creating an awkward situation between the women. Taking his arm from her shoulder, he remained with other resting against her back, body language opening up a little as to not completely blank his friend. "What are you doing here?" He asked, unable to keep the curiosity from his voice. He glanced back to Elowen with a smile, before darting his gaze to Rhianne. "Come and meet my friend, she's a Magizoologist" he added, gently trying to guide her towards their previous position. "Rhianne this is Elowen. Elowen, this is my girlfriend," he introduced the pair, kissing the top of the brunette hair after he said the words, unsure of how he'd managed to slide back into her life.

Rhi's worry increased when the young woman noticed her first. She gave her a quick look and could not help but admit that she looked great. However, all the uneasiness that she felt were blown into the cool afternoon wind when Robert's eyes settled on her with recognition. He did not say anything aside from that smile that lit his face. His eyes did not even waver when he answered the woman's questions. Rhi stayed rooted to her spot as she watched her boyfriend closed the small distance between. Instantly, she was enveloped by his strong, warm arms as he said her name softly. A tight hug that she returned with one of her own, closing her eyes in happiness. She missed this, hopeful he did too. Her silent question was answered. He missed her. He pulled back and again she was drowning in his eyes as he looked at her tenderly. She gave him a smile as she leaned her head more into his hands. "I missed you too.", she told him with a soft laugh. Funny when they did not see each other for how many years, got back together, spending every moment available together, agreed on this long distance relationship, thinking they would be just fine since they still communicate frequently. The next thing she knew, Rob gave her a kiss. Square on the lips. Even if the woman was still there. She responded to it even for a while before Rob pulled away, though keeping his one arm on her back. Instinctively, Rhi wound her arm around her boyfriend's torso.

Asked why she was in the UK and not back home, Rhi gave him a playful shrug. "Surprise! To see you, of course.", she reached up at his hair, longer than the last time they were together back home. "Although I must say I am surprised by your new look.",she added with a laugh. Rob led her back to the woman whom he introduced as Elowen. She smiled at the woman who seemed to be in her mid-twenties. "Elowen, you're name is pretty. Nice to meet you.", she greeted her. The former Gryffindor was even more amazed when she found out about her job. It was one she dreamed before, way back when her mother was still with them. What made Rhi's heart swell was how Rob introduced her to Elowen, ending it with a peck on her forehead. She smiled, squeezing her arm around him as a way of response to his sweet gesture.

Elowen's complicated brain processed every movement between her new friend and his grilfriend and she felt the pit of her stomach tie up in knots. Not from jealousy, not frankly it didn't matter if Rob was single or not she and him were friends and that was something Elowen could handle, however her coping mechanisms when it came to looking at another human being she viewed as more attractive than she were not so healthy. She looked her over head to tow, her healthy brown hair, and well fitted clothing. Suddenly she remembered how big the sleeves of her outfit were on her - too long because of her short arms - and tugged the end of her coat, making sure they weren't visible. She wrapped the coat around her as Rob brought the girl over, and gave a smile, very aware suddenly that her teeth were not as pearly white as the other woman's. Elowen extended her bony tendrils to shake the hand of the new person joining the conversation, and wondered if Rob mentioned her career for a reason, or if he thought her job was interesting.

"Man do I need to let you two get a room?" She joked, trying not to be made uncomfortable by romantic displays. What was the point in them after all, when she went back to New Zealand she most likely had other men who were interested in kissing her and maybe even did - without Rob's knowledge. Like Patrick. Anyone who claimed to be in love was lying in Elowen's mind, it was pointless. However she would never speak her thoughts out loud when they seemed happy for the moment. instead the insecure drew her hand back once Rhi had responded to her gesture and closed her coat more snuggly around her mid-section. "Rob is doing a great job, when he isn't losing children, right?" She asked, giving him a friendly tap on the arm that wasn't around the other girl's waist.
