Felix hadn't really put all that much thought into his costume. Back home Halloween wasn't really that big of a deal and he usually only went out if invited to do so by his friends. However he'd heard from his brother that here it was kind of a big deal and he really didn't want to miss out on a party. He liked parties and he saw no benefit to himself to not go. So, despite that fact that his costume was basic and last minute, Felix made sure he looked good before making his way down to the great hall, earlier in the week he'd asked Lyra if she was going and after finding out that she was he'd invited her to go with him. He'd meet her on the ground floor just before they went in. He kind of wanted a bit of time to see what other people were wearing and he'd found that the first floor was the best place to do that. They had all the classics, zombies, werewolves, vampires and fairies, but some of them had interesting twists.

None of the vampire's looked the same which he thought was pretty cool. It was clear which ones were homemade and which were store bought like his own. It was all so fascinating. If he'd had his camera right now, he'd be recording all of this. There were some skin tight outfits too, a cat, an assassin of some sort, a fairy and there were celebrities too, like there always were. Though he wasn't sure who they were. He'd not gotten around to ready that far in his History book. The costumes were the best part of the evening and he vastly enjoyed looking at them. He smiled to himself as he leaned against the bannisters, hopefully Lyra wouldn't be too much longer.

Lyra Potter was pleased when Felix asked her to go to the Halloween feast with him. She had already planned to attend, but it was nice to know that she wouldn't be alone. The Halloween Feast was supposed to be really exciting, and the Gryffindor girl had been looking forward to it ever since the month of October rolled around. It was going to be even better because she was going with one of her very best friends. Lyra enjoyed Felix's company. He was fun and exciting to be around, and they were similar in all the best ways. The brunette had thought about her costume for two weeks before asking her mother to send it by care of owl. She had considered many different options before ultimately deciding that she wanted to be a princess. Lyra was dressed in a beautiful, fluffy pink dress. It was a ball gown style dress that was exactly what she imagined a princess would wear. Her outfit was complete with a dazzling tiara. Lyra thought she looked very pretty as she looked in the mirror one last time. The bruise on her eye had almost faded all the way. It looked much better than it had last week thankfully.

The Gryffindor girl flounced down the staircase with her dress billowing out around her. It might have been more appropriate for the Yule Ball, but she didn't care. She knew she made a pretty princess, and she hoped Felix liked her costume. As she neared the Great Hall, the brunette saw her friend leaning nonchalantly against the bannister. Felix was smiling, and Lyra's pulse quickened as she moved to join him. She wore a bright smile on her face as she neared him. "Fefe Licks!" she said, waving to him. Lyra adored Falon's nickname and had taken to using it as a sign of affection for him. She had a feeling the name would withstand the course of their friendship. It was a great name. "What do you think?" Lyra asked, cheerfully. She twirled in a circle for him.

Jezebel loved Halloween, other than Christmas it was her favorite holliday. However, this year she'd been absolutely stumped on what to wear. She had considered going as a vampire, but after thinking it over, knew she probably wouldn't be the only one. So instead, she had her mother send in the costume she had worn last year. It was a lovely dress modeled after Elizabeth Bennet, her favorite literatureary character. She was a strong woman, and one of Jezebel's greatest role-models alongside her mom and aunt.

She had beamed brightly when it came in, remembering siting down to watch the episodes every Saturday with at her aunt's. She knew not many people would recognize her, maybe not anyone, but that wasn't what mattered to her as she slipped the soft fabric over her shoulders and buttoned it up. It truly was a lovely dress, and the fact that she had made it herself made it even more special. Normally, she would've opted for an edgier costume, but she dressed like that everyday, and sometimes it felt good to give into the the urge to girly it up. Fixing her hair, and spending extra time with her makeup, Jezebel was finally all set, and she headed off for the Great Hall.

The whole castle had been decorated, and looked superb, but when Jezebel passed the the doors to the Great Hall, she'd been taken aback at how stunning everything looked. And her fellow students didn't look so bad either, though some looked a bit silly -- she wouldn't admit it to their faces unless they asked. Walking around a ways, she noticed a girl in a rather pretty pink ball gown. She smiled, no one had really stopped to say hello to her yet, so she supposed she'd had to take the initiative, and that girl seemed like the friendly kind. Her costume was certainly beautiful.

Walking closer, she noticed the girl was beside a boy. Jezebel smirked. She thought it was rather sweet that they'd seemingly had gone together, but it did make her feel even more lonely than she already was. She smiled politely at the two. "I do hope I'm not bothering you two, but I only want to compliment you on your dress! It's very beautiful." She said, and then noticed she'd left the boy out. Oh, well. He probably could care less about what I thought of his costume. She thought, and she left it at that.

Lyra noticed someone walk by with a lighting shaped scar on their forehead and Gryffindor robes. The extremely familiar scar on someone else shocked her. Was that person meant to be impersonating her grandfather? How odd! Lyra was about to remark on the sight to Felix when another girl approached them. Lyra smiled brightly. She remembered the other girl from the mermaid adventure. She complimented Lyra on her outfit. "Thank you! That's so kind of you." she said, smiling. "I remember you from the lake. I'm Lyra. This is Felix." she said reintroducing herself and introducing her companion. "Your costume is lovely by the way." Lyra said, admiring the quality of the work.
