kitchen time chaos

The young girl shook her head, she couldn't think of anything else to do. The young girl watched as her senpai had observed the baking of the cupcakes. "He must think that it's nice to see," the young girl thought and let out a slight giggle that those not paying attention wouldn't notice. Feeling bored, the young girl started to sing. And it was Japanese, well she couldn't help it, she didn't know any English songs. Ai continued to sing until she finished her song.
 
From the looks of it, even Ai had no idea of what else they should do. Well, he figured that they needed to watch the cupcakes so it would burn, so going out of the kitchen is out of the options. He didn't have anything else with him though, and he cannot think of any game to entertain themselves. So, yeah, they don't have anything else to do except wait for the cupcakes to bake. He was pretty surprised though as the younger girl began to sing. She heard her sang earlier, but this time around, it was different as she finished the whole song. Ryuuji just listened to her, sometimes tapping his feet in sync with the younger girl's singing. She's a really good singer. He wondered if she joined the school's glee club. They were pretty good in his opinion. And since Ai is a real good singer too, he figured that she would fit there. ​
 
When the young girl finished her song, she noticed that she was singing quite loudly. Scratch that, she didn't even notice that she was already singing. She turned to her senpai and said, "It was a bit out of tune, wasn't it?" she asked innocently. Jeez, why does she frequently sing unknowingly? Is she going crazy or something? The young girl was worried and apologized, "Gomen, for suddenly singing," she said shyly and waited for her senpai's reaction.

<COLOR color="#000">"Ie.. it's perfect Ai-chan." Though he's not a musical genius and though he's not that well verse about music, he could tell that the girl's voice was really nice. He doesn't really know the song that she sang, but it was definitely good. She puts her emotion into her singing, and a singer who puts her feelings into her songs is always the best. Ryuuji just smiled at the younger girl. Here she was worried for suddenly singing, while he was actually perfectly happy that she did. He likes her voice. It's really, heavenly if he may say so. and besides, he himself would also be a little random sometimes. Like how he would just say something out of the blue. So, Ai singing suddenly doesn't really affect him negatively. ​

Ai glad that her random singing was fine. Ryuuji-niisan saying something out of the blue is a different thing since it made sense after all, and he wouldn't hit wrong notes when he says it, right? On the other hand, if Ai missed even a single note, it would be really, really embarrassing. "Arigato, Ryuuji-niisan!" she smiled happily. After a few minutes, the girl's watch suddenly rang, she turned off the ringing and said, "Ryuuji-niisan, the cupcakes are ready. Be sure to wear mittens and be careful when you take them out of the oven," she reminded her senpai worriedly.
 
Ryuuji's thoughts were cut by Ai's announcement that the cupcakes were already done baking. Seriously, he had been spacing quite a lot since earlier. Was it the sort of effect that cooking has on him? Great, just great indeed. Cooking is slowly ruining his focus, and he's like floating among the clouds from time to time since he had entered the kitchen. Alright, that might be a little exaggerated, but really, how many times had he spaced out since earlier? He had surely lost count. Not that he was counting it though. With a smile, Ryuuji jumped off the stool and peeked at the oven. Finally, the fruits of his labor is there. He grabbed the mittens just like he was told and wore it. Touching a cookie which had just been taken out of the oven already hurts, what more is it if you touch the container which is still in the oven? Slowly, the Ravenclaw placed them in the table and removed his mittens. He crossed his fingers. "Dear Kami-sama, let these cupcakes be edible.."​
 
Ai watched carefully, ready to help in case of any trouble. The older Ravenclaw had managed to bring the cupcakes out of the oven and the young girl got a plate and tongs. She picked up each cupcake in a paper liner away from the muffin cups and into the plate. She had done this again and again until she counted twenty-four of them. They sure made a lot, but they can always share with the house elves. Ai laughed when her senpai prayed that the cupcakes be edible. "Shinpai shinaide, Nii-san. They're edible because you worked hard on them. Let's cool them down for five minutes," she told her senpai catching her breath after she finished laughing.
