--Kamaria Zhefarovich was currently done with roaming around on patrol. Being a Prefect sometimes was not its cup of tea. Especially recently with the OWLs looming over, and the Ravenclaw was just being buried with work. The OWLs were definitely her biggest nightmare right now. Though she was completely unaware of her mother going completely insane as well, and is twp steps from landing her own body into Azkaban. Kara was just as confused about the sides of good and evil as the next person. There was another thing too, the pure-blood girl sure did not really act like the regular pure-blood girl. She treated everyone the same, except her brother at times because he was just a big jerk that treated anyone less than pure-blood or mixed-blood like dirt and she did not like that at all. She thought that Damian was a nice kid, and he was fashionable. Ariah was a good friend of hers too, and she was a Slytherin Prefect as well. Just a little clumsy. Kara was currently looking through her book of spells of Charms to practice before the NEWT, and she was flipping through the pages. Kara put the book on a desk that was a little dusty, and she went into a closet to find some enchanted dummies so that she could practice a lot more. She needed some work. She grabbed three dummies into her arms and carried them over to the abandoned classroom for some practice. The Prefect thought that this would be the best way. She had a teacher's permission so she did not think that she would get into trouble for this. She had the OWLs coming and she was going to do what she wanted, and that was mastering her spells! It was the best that she could do anyway, because she was getting really behind in her lessons with the charms and the stress was just overwhelming. She moved her hair over her shoulder and she watched the dummies as she set them down wonder all over the place and just hopping around like it was no one's business.

--There were many spells that she needed some work on. One of the spells was Diffindo, which was a spell that cuts things. She needed to get this spell mastered completely. She only managed to cause a cut that looked as harmful as a small papercut. It was really frustrating. She wanted to do nothing more but to master and get an Outstanding. She needed to get this done, and the stress will lift. She was also a Quidditch Keeper, the Student Defense Association President, and finally, a Prefect that happened to be a Ravenclaw smarty-pants. She had a lot of responsibility at the school, and it was driving her insane! Kara flourished her wand, and she aimed at one dummy that was running and jumping. She intoned loudly, "Diffindo!" The cutting spell missed the dummy, and it hit a desk, and it sliced it right in half. Kara flinched a bit, and a flush over her cheeks, and she quickly repaired it with a spell. Kara bit her lip, and well, the spell worked at least. So she had that one down, because all she needed to do was focus more. Now it was time for another spell. Kara caught her eyes on the dummy that was going rather fast, and she aimed, focused and she cried out, "Impedimentia!" The dummy stopped in midair as the spell hit it dead on. The dummy fell, motionless. She let out a sigh in relief. But there was one more. The vanishing spell. That one she could never master. She practiced the saying, before she went on and she focused on one dummy, the one that she had not tried shooting a spell at just yet. She said with force, "Evanesco!" But the spell only vanished a leg of a dummy. It was a little more difficult with her, she was not that good in Transfiguration.

Half way through the second term. Time seemed to just flying by, with little time for consideration of what was needed. Of who would pull through and be the best they could be. In many senses, there were many people who didn't quite manage to do well in the fifth year. As a muggleborn, Lily Cliffeton was one of the few who believed that she wouldn't do well. Despite everything, all the last minute work she put in, there was a number of beliefs in the girl which made her really think about how she was doing, and if it would in the end pay off. Lily Fossil cared little for the magic she was attempting to learn, she went through phases where it meant something to her, and others where it meant so little to her she began to question why she was still at school. The Slytherin wasn't exactly the best behaved, her attendance was sloppy, and her attitude towards magic was pretty much abysmal. She could do, some of the magic, with a little practice there was little denial that she could be good at it, but with so little motivation and so little time allocated to practice, the Slytherin girl doubted that she would ever do well within the magical world. Not something she actually minded. Where others would've taken to just burying themselves in books, Lily had been pondering the ideas of pursuing dance after school. Her father, and her entire family, had put her off the idea of becoming a ballerina, but it hadn't put her off dancing. She was out of practice, that she was aware of, but Lily had been training for most of her life, she knew how to eat well and keep in shape, all it would really take was a little bit of overall practice and everything would be returned to how it had been. The Slytherin girl however wasn't sure what she would do in dance, and due to a lack of friends, she had no one to even talk it through. The Slytherin had pretty much been a complete b!tch to everyone she'd come across. She was harsh, and blunt and this did not make most people want to be her friend, and while the Slytherin girl felt okay with this, she couldn't deny that having no one to talk to wasn't impacting what she did everyday. How she acted.

Adjusting the shorts she was wearing, the Slytherin was walking the corridors, knowing full well, that she probably shouldn't be out at the time. But, Lily had always cared little for the silly little rules that was set for her while in the castle. She could handle most, but the insane idea that she would have a proper bedtime was something she found fairly ridiculous. A bedtime, Lily practically scoffed at the mere idea. Instead she was walking the corridors, with her wand in hand, and a sense of needing to do something to improve her grades. It wasn't one she got too often, but it was one she tended to think a lot about. The Slytherin girl, began walking down the second floor corridor, and it was then she noticed a girl, who she was sure was in her year, go into the abandoned classroom. Lily had no real intentions of going in, but she was curious, to see what the girl was doing. The Slytherin was sure it would be nothing, and even if it was something, she had no one to tell. The annoyances of being a b!tch to all was many. She walked as quietly as she could to the door. The word diffindo made it through the door. The girl was practicing. Lily decided it would not be an awful idea to go in. Lily was sure the girl would know little of her, and who she was. What she did. As quietly as she could, Lily took the handle of the door in her hand and turned it. Quickly stepping into the room, as the girl cast the third spell. Lily just had to see that the girl was not fairing too well. Lily could not claim to be much better, but she had a knack at Transfiguration. She was good at Evanesco. Maybe it was her desire to get rid of things, that was focused in the spell. Gripping her wand tightly in her hand, she pointed it at the one legged dummy, and muttered "Evanesco" Her voice was forceful and like she had an incredibly strong desire for the thing to just disappear. Lily watched as it vanished. She looked over to the girl. "I think the trick to that spell, is to almost think of the thing as someone you would like to Evanesco out your life." Lily's tone was quiet, and cold. As if she didn't really care. "It's a difficult one" Lily took a step forward, and then just stood waiting. If the girl was interested in being friends, it would become clear, if not, the Slytherin could live with it.

--Kara was just a little flustered with the fact that she could not do the Transfiguration spell. However, when the dummy vanished on the spot, with a spell from a voice of which she did not recognize, her silver eyes turned to stare at a girl with her wand out. She used the spell right on her first try, and sure, Kara was just a little jealous but everyone had their weaknesses. Kara's was obviously Transfiguration as she could do all other spells just as well. But that one had always given her so much trouble. Kara recognized her as Lily Fossil from her year and her classes. She was a Slytherin, and that always meant bad news - if one thought about the prejudice attitude against them. However, it was different with Kara, as if her bloodline had always been a mixture of Slytherins and Ravenclaws. There were just a few odd ones in there that came in with every family. The Slytherin's advice was also something that Kara would have to practice. Her eyes flickered down for a moment, and took in the words. "I think the trick to that spell, is to almost think of the thing as someone you would like to Evanesco out your life." Exactly something a Slytherin would say, but Kara thought it to be real good advise. Someone she wanted to Evanesco out of her life. Perhaps someone that hurt her, someone who abandoned her, someone who perhaps just liked her for her tall body, her skinniness and her pretty little face. She was a weak, hopeless romantic. Kara thought of Danny Boyd, and anger flooded her thoughts and blood. She could feel it, the magic rising. Another dummy scurried across the room. Raising her wand, she did exactly as Lily Fossil as said.

--"Evanseco!" Kara said with force, with anger and the will and want to have Danny Boyd out of her life. The dummy vanished, and that was the last of the dummies unless Kara needed to summon some more. She turned to Lily Fossil, and she smiled genuinely, "Thanks, I have never thought that...imaging someone to disappear from your life. It really worked." And she felt something like she was lifted from a burden, because she felt better now that she could just envision Danny vanishing from her life. She did not need to have Danny in her life anymore. She had moved on. She needed to move on anyway. Kara was over Danny for the most part, but she was still hurt so much over what he had done to her. Kara shifted her position as she glanced at the door, and she knew that she was probably wondering around, and being a Prefect, if one disregarded the rules, she had enough authority to take the Slytherin to Professor Styx. However, the girl helped her out a lot, so Kara did not think anything was really necessary. Instead, Kara would be nice to her. It would be a fair trade. Kara stepped forward to the brunette, and she introduced herself formally, "Perhaps I should introduce myself formally, Kamaria Zhefarovich, Ravenclaw Prefect; but everyone calls me Kara. And you are...Lily Fossil, correct?" Kara did not want to disrespect the girl at all, and perhaps she could make a new friend with her. Kara was slowly aligning herself with Slytherins, and she was blissfully unaware of it. She got along with them better anyway, somehow. It was just her thirst for knowledge overpowered everything else in her mind when she was sorted.
