Closed Jinx!

[Aurora Archer]

Aurora had wanted to get ahead of it with Soren, no more dancing around and not just talking about feelings, so she had when they'd last spent time together tried to ask him to this dance, at which point he had done the exact same thing. She had giggled and was still smiling about it now, as she entered the great hall for the very dance. She had picked out a long blue dress, which she loved and was enjoying how it fit her. Aurora liked being old enough to really merit the much longer, pretty gowns, rather than feeling silly in them. The prefect was excited, excited to spend time with Soren. To dance with him specifically, because they had decided that they would. Aurora was just looking forward to spending time with him.

Soren was still amused that he and Aurora had jinxed each other into a date to the ball. But that was alright- he still got what he wanted, having her with him. He hummed to himself as he slipped through the crowd, sneaking up on his date. He slid up next to her and put a hand on the wall, crossing his foot over his ankle, and he smirked playfully. "Hey there, gorgeous," He greeted, looking over her. "That dress looks amazing on you," He complimented her easily.

Aurora jumped when it appeared that he was suddenly there next to her. Aurora turned to face him and gave a little twirl in her dress. "Yeah?" she said, almost shyly, she was feeling confident in the dress, but feeling confident could always be helped by a compliment. "You look good too, but you do always look very handsome," Aurora said back.

Soren chuckled and straightened up as she returned the compliment. "I am rather gorgeous," He teased her, bowing a bit with one hand behind his back, offering the other out to her. "May I have this dance?" He asked, a sly grin on his face.

Aurora smiled at him, about to agree with his statement when he bowed and offered a hand out to her. "Of course," she said, taking his offered hand. A part of her had jokingly wanted to say no, but really, she didn't want to do that.

Soren smiled and lead Aurora out to the dance floor, trying to pull her in for a dance. "This is definitely fun as a date," He offered with an easy smile.

Aurora had known this was a date, and let him pull her on to the dancefloor. But it was nice to hear it be called a date. This was a date. She started dancing with Soren to the music, smiling with ease at him. Feeling glad that they had gotten over whatever that had been.

Soren enjoyed this, the music, the closeness. He hummed along happily, moving in time with the music and trying to pull her closer. He was tempted to kiss her, but he decided to wait a bit and see how she was feeling about the night.

Aurora was happily able to dance with him, moving in time with the music and enjoying the closeness of this. It was nice. It felt good to dance with him. She was smiling widely, unable to stop how happy she felt in all of this. How much she wanted the night to go on forever because dancing with him was such fun.

Soren smiled, and as the song ended he offered out his hand, wanting to pull her in closer to him. "Rory," He asked. "You having a good time?" He wanted to check in, see how she was doing with the night.

Aurora took his hand and let him pull her in close. She nodded with an eagerness and kept her gaze on him. "I am," she said. It wasn't hard, Aurora had never had a bad night when it came to these dances but this felt all the more special and it felt all the easier to enjoy too. "You?"

 

[Soren Gates]

Soren chuckled. and the urge to kiss her hit him again. He smiled fondly. "The best," He countered with an easy grin. "If I asked to kiss you, would you let me?" He offered, almost like a hypothetical question.

 

[Aurora Archer]

Aurora nodded eagerly at the hypothetical, knowing that she wasn't exactly being subtle or anything of the sort. "Yes, of course," she added, now hoping, really hoping it wouldn't remain a hypothetical question.

 

[Soren Gates]

Soren blushed, and he smiled, leaning in so he was close, but not so close that she couldn't pull away. "So, Rory..." He teased her, speaking lower and a bit more slowly. He reached up, brushing his fingers over her cheek before letting his hand fall to rest lightly against her neck. "Could I kiss you?"

Aurora had never been so close to Soren. So physically close. She wanted nothing more than to kiss him. She wanted nothing more than to be kissed by him. This was going to be so good and be the best first kiss ever. "Yes," she replied to his question. Eager and waiting for him to lean in before she did.

Soren smiled, and brought his other hand up to rest lightly on her cheek, leaning down to kiss her gently, slowly, just savoring the moment.

Aurora leaned into his hand as much as she could and kissed him gently back. Holding herself a little back from how keen she was for this, and for a kiss, and just enjoying the moment. She went to put her arms around his neck to hold him in closer, as one of her legs rose up. This was a perfect first kiss.

Soren kept the kiss up for several more moments, before pulling back and leaning his forehead against hers. "That was nice," He murmured, before smiling. "Wanna be my girl, Rory?" He asked her, teasing just a bit.

Aurora nodded, she giggled softly. "Please, you're gonna be my boy," she teased lightly but of course the other part was that she did want this. She wanted to be his girl, wanted them to be together and feeling so excited to tell Rosie about how good her yuleball had been.

Soren laughed. It sounded almost silly, but he liked it. He tried to steal another kiss, before stepping back. "Care for another spin, lovebug?" He asked, literally moving to spin her in place.

 

[Aurora Archer]

Aurora giggled softly but she nodded. "Please," she wanted to dance with her boyfriend. Her official boyfriend. She was so excited about this. She hadn't realised that she had wanted this so badly.

 

[Soren Gates]

Soren pulled Aurora back into another dance. "You really are gorgeous," He told her again, moving to spin her.
