On paper Hemi had been well behaved this term, he hadn't lost a single house point or received one detention which must be a personal record for the troublemaker, he'd also joined the Quidditch Team which consumed a lot of his time that would otherwise be spent breaking the rules. He appeared outwardly as quite a good student. Behind the scenes however, he was up to his usual schemes of trouble, currently focused on his and Maddie's new club. The Adventure Club was taking longer than the pair anticipated to set up. He needed something to entertain him until all the sign ups were complete.

He sat beside Maddie, fiddling the mash potato on his fork during evening meal. He was trying to think up an elaborate prank he could play when he suddenly had a great idea. He nudged Maddie's side, she was his main accomplice and always keen for some fun, "Hey Madz, I dare you to start a food fight!" He said, wondering whether she would take him up on the dare.

This term had been relatively quiet so far, the first years were considerably more reserved than in Maddie's year. Which meant that Hemi and Maddie had to pick up the slack and endeavor to cause more mischief in the school. Today wasn't going to be any different, Maddie had been restless for a few days now and there was considerably more things to organise for the Adventure Club than Maddie had ever anticipated which left her searching for other sources for trouble. She joined Hemi at the Gryffindor table for dinner and grabbed herself a plate of spaghetti. She kept glancing at Hemi who seemed to be playing with his food absentmindedly. Suddenly Maddie received a mysterious look from him and she laughed at what he dared her to do. "Are you serious?" she said looking around the hall, everyone else was minding their own business and the Professor's seemed preoccupied so now was the perfect time. "Okay, easy." Maddie picked up a handful of spaghetti "Hey James, heads up" she shouted across the table to the boy who she disliked and chucked the spaghetti towards his face. "Oh and Hemi..." she began as she dumped a handful of spaghetti on his head too while laughing.

Compared to the beginning of the previous year all was quiet. The new crop of first years were not nearly as troublesome as some of his classmates had been the first year and no doubt would continue to be in the coming year. Hemi and Maddie of course were the biggest culprits. James walked into the Great hall and headed over to the Gryffindor table. He was starving and needed some food big time. James took his seat and helped himself to a plate of spaghetti. He wasn't eating long when he heard Maddie yelling his name from across the table, he looked up just in time to have a handful of spaghetti thrown in his face. "What the hell Madz!" He yelled wiping spaghetti from his face. "Oh screw it," He picked up his own spaghetti and threw it at Maddie's face. "That's how its gonna be huh," He laughed as Maddie also threw spaghetti at Hemi, she was clearly intent on starting a food fight.

Hemi watched the scene unravel, his mouth open in a smile when Maddie actually took him up on the dare and flung spaghetti right at James. He knew his two friends disliked one another but Hemi didn't pry into the reasons, he preferred to stay well away from their drama. Now was not the time to act the mediator as a fist full of spaghetti was dumped on his head as well.

"Ooh you're going to regret that!" He joked, standing up over a large serving bowl of mash potato in the middle of the table. He thoughtlessly dug his hands into the bowl, collecting two large scoops, one in each hand. He dumped the first in Maddie's face as payback for the spaghetti. He then aimed the second scoop at James, catapulting it across the table towards him. "Food Fight!" He declared, his voice cracking as he spoke.
