Elvera had spent most of the day with her mother as it was morgans birthday on halloween. i had been an enjoyable day though a damper seemed to be put on things as the older seer seemed to think she was pregnant. she couldn't be could she? she couldn't remember doing anything to get herself pregnant, however ever since Liliths wedding when eden had first mentioned it there had been a little voice of doubt in the back of her mind reminding her that morgan had never remembered being pregnant with Lilith, and there were other women in her family past who had gotten pregnant without remembering how. whether she was or not didn't matter right now. the pains going through her stomach were getting worse. she had spent the last half hour in her rooms in the divination tower getting her new cat Samhain, an early birthday present, settled in. before slipping on her costume and doing her makeup. she had decided to go as a doll, and inspired by some of the vicious rumours that had flown around the school over the previous years (though thankfully they seemed to have stopped now) she had written things on her dress to symbolise those who were picked to bully. she then made her way down the many flights of stairs to the great hall. like always it was decorated spectacularly she made her way over to the food table her stomach growling and picked up a pumpkin pastie. she moved out of the way to let other people at the food. she took a mouthful and looked around as she chewed trying to find any of the other professors but as everyone was in costume it was hard to tell who was who. she swallowed and took another bite realising when she did that she was no longer hungry.

Halloween was one of Cyndi's favorite holidays and had been since she was a young girl. Her parents had always celebrated the day by gathering their three children together and roaming whatever neighborhood they were living in at the time for candy and other treats. It was a day all three of the Weasley children had looked forward to each year, and Cyndi couldn't wait until Noah was old enough to enjoy such things. She'd slipped home earlier in the day to dress Noah in a pumpkin costume and take some pictures for his aunts, uncle and grandparents. It was only once her husband had arrived home and she'd had the opportunity to give him a good night kiss that Cyndi had quickly dressed and apparated back near the school. Thankfully, she had already said good night to her son because if he caught sight of her costume, she was sure that he would break down in tears. He was going through a stage where he didn't like strangers much and Cyndi certainly looked strange. Last year, she had been pregnant and had simply painted her belly. This year was very different.

Stepping into the castle, Professor Kingsley smiled as she saw mummies and football players and some other unidentifiable costumes as they made their way into the Great Hall. She slipped in behind them, her grin growing as she looked at the decorations. She hadn't helped decorate the Great Hall this year as she usually did, but it looked great. Heading to the food table for a drink, Cyndi quickly poured herself some pumpkin juice and took a sip. The drink refreshed her. Turning as she took another sip, Cyndi moved over to Elvera, a professor and former student. "Nice costume, Elvera" she stated with a chuckle. Standing beside her, Cyndi wondered what the students were thinking as they looked at the pair of them.

Elvera saw someone was approaching her though she was pretty sure she was older than a student she didn't know who it was until she was right next to her. "thank you" she said to the compliment on her costume before recognising who it was"Hello professor wea... I mean cyndi. that is a great costume you have there too" she said, although she had been cyndis colleague for over two years she had been her student for five and just like teachers ofter remember students as they were in school Elvera still ad professor Weasley stuck in her mind as Cyndi's name even though she was no longer her teacher and now married.
"have you been?" she asked "managing alright with Noah and work? she added wondering how the professors did it, work and children. and hoping eden had been wrong and that she wouldn't be finding out first hand soon. she headed over to the bin and placed the remaining patsy in it as it had suddenly made her feel slightly nauseous. on her way she saw many students. one of the girls was dressed as a doll, someone wise was a skeleton, a dragon, and one student had managed to engorge himself and turn green. she returned to the professor "there are a lot of good costumes out this year." she said as a statement of fact.

Cyndi covered her mouth in a silent chuckle as Elvera almost called her not only Professor but by her old surname. She hadn't heard that name in a while. "Thanks. I was sort of going for a forgotten Azkaban prisoner but my sister said that I sort of look like a zombie pirate." She shrugged, not really caring which one people thought she looked like because she liked the costume so much. It was always fun to look completely different on Halloween. Some people chose the more glamorous looking route, but Cyndi had always preferred to look creepier on Halloween. Taking another sip of juice, Cyndi smiled. "Yea, so far so good. My mother is in New Zealand, helping Cam and me out so things have been super easy." She pulled a picture out from the pocket of her dress and held it out to Elvera. It was one of the ones she had taken earlier that day of Noah in his pumpkin costume. The baby sat on the sofa, waving his arms up and down, a rattle in one hand.

"Definitely. I'm always impressed by how creative some of the students are" she answered honestly. The professor took a look around the room, noticing that two of the students were head and shoulders above the rest and in matching outfits. "I'm guessing those two are Chayton and Madlyn. How cute" she grinned. "I got an invitation the other day for Lilith's wedding. I thought it was so sweet she thought to invite me. You're planning on going, right?" she asked, knowing that Elvera was family to the younger girl who had also been a student of hers. The professor had been so thrilled and surprised to receive an invitation.

Elvera nodded at cyndi's comment. "I think your sister is right. more of a zombie pirate than Azkaban prisoner. but it is pretty scary" she said certain that some of the firsties would be a little freaked out by the deputy headmistress's costume. she looked at the picture that cyndi showed her. of her son. he was sweet in his little pumpkin costume. "that is cute. such a nice little boy you have" she said her thoughts going to what Eden had said. no she couldn't be pregnant. there was no way in hell she could be. but right then a pain went through her stomach making her whole body wince and curl up slightly for a moment before it went away again. she really should see what it was all about. but she didn't want to know. she was just glad that she couldn't see herself. or maybe if she could see herself she would know what was wrong and know it would be okay.
"yeah. O dont think i ever had anything that good as a student. My best was a, i cant even remember" she said. when cyndi named Madlyn and chayton she nodded. she hadn't taught ether of them. she knew who madlyn was, prefect, and the daughter of the professor who had died a few years prior when she hadn't been at the school, but she had never seen chayton before. "they are pretty cute in a sort of giant green way" she said wondering what they were meant to be. she had never really watched muggle movies. sure she had spent some time in her childhood in the muggle world, but Morgause was still a witch and when other children were watching movies, she was learning how to make lotions, creams and teas for different aliments. when cyndi asked about the wedding she nodded. "yes I am going. I will be one of the bridesmaids. though i don't know that much about it. other than it will be in england and a fairytale wedding, and i have to wear yellow. it is eden who is organising the whole thing. are you going?" she said, wondering if cyndi was going to attend. she half wished that Lilith had picked another colour. yellow didn't suit her normally but it was her sisters wedding and she would wear whatever Lilith wanted her to, even if it was a sack.

Professor Kingsley shrugged, really not minding either way but pleased that her colleague found her costume scary. That was exactly what she had been going for. ”Thank you” she stated as she took the picture back and put it away. When she glanced up at Elvera again, she saw the woman wince for a moment. Cyndi reached out, her hand gently touching the other woman’s shoulder. “Elvera, are you ok?” she asked, her voice full of concern. Even when the woman moved on to discussing other things, Cyndi’s eyes still betrayed their concern for her former student. “Me either” she finally added, once she was sure the woman before her wasn’t going to pass out or anything.

As the discussion moved away from school matters and on to Lilith’s wedding, the professor finished off her pumpkin juice, listening quietly. “Oh, I bet it will be beautiful.” She had yet to go to a wedding that wasn’t and hoped that the weather in England would be accommodating for the occasion. “If I can find a babysitter for the day, I plan to go to the ceremony. I don’t think I’ll be able to stay for the reception though” she stated. Her mother was extremely helpful these days with Noah, even moving to New Zealand and staying in the extra room in their place just so she could adjust to work. But, Cyndi didn’t want to assume that her mother didn’t have plans. She knew that her father was making plans to come soon and knew that her mother and father would want to spend time together without their grandchild. “I’m going to go grab myself a pumpkin pasty. Would you like one?” she asked politely.

Elvera smiled as cyndi put away the picture. she she didn't need to be a seer to know her former professor would be a great mother. she had been her favourite professor during her student life, so friendly and willing to help the students. even now. as she felt the pain in her stomach she felt Cyndi's featuring hand on her shoulder. she straightened up "I think so, I just seem to be getting stomach cramps recently" she said though her voice didn't sound quite sure it was just stomach cramps.
When Cyndi said that she too couldn't remember her best costume she laughed slightly trying to lighten the suddenly serious mood. "If you can; find a babysitter you can always bring him. Eden's daughter Aine and Kidas daughter scarlet will be there" she said. those were the two flower girls. She quite liked Scarlet, she was a sweet girl but there was something about her that she wasn't so sure about. it was most likely that she had somehow ended up dating Icarus even though elvera had thought, no matter how stupidly she had been to think it, they may have had something between them going, though she tried not to let kida know how she felt. if they were happy then good for them, Icaras had bee to good for her anyway, and it just confirmed her view on love, it was only there to cause hurt. she sighed. being brought back to the present by cyndi's offer of a pumpkin pasty. "No thank you. I am not that hungry. but thanks anyway" she said hoping that the dress hid some of the weight she had lost over the last couple of months. she had just not been hungry, or rather she had been hungry then as soon as she had food in her mouth her appetite was lost.
