Amelia was sitting under the shade of a willow tree. There were quite a few
of them around the school. She was just sitting there, she had been doing so for the past two hours. It's what she had been doing everyday since returning to Hogwarts. She felt empty inside, she hadn't smiled in weeks. She had spoken in weeks to be honest. Just one word answers. She had reacted the worst, probably because she had been closest to her brother Corey. There were no words to describe how she felt at the moment. She had lost her brother. The person she had been closest to in the whole world and now he was gone, gone forever and Amelia didn't know how she was going to cope. She hadn't gone to any lessons and she usually moped her way around school. She didn't even eat in the Great Hall anymore, she just made herself food in the kitchen, she screamed at any elf who attempted to help her. She felt bad of course afterwards but she wasn't going to apologize. She was hurting, she cried herself to sleep nearly every night. When she slept, she just dreamed, not nice dreams Horrible dreams that made her wake up sweating and screaming. She had become a nuisance to her roomate. They were no friends and she recieved little sympathy or comfort.

Amelia hadn't gone near the Lake. The pure sight of it sent her into shakes. It was horrible. She was getting better. The nightmares weren't as bad but still bad. She needed someone to lean on, to talk to. But she had no one. Her family had tried but they were also mourning. How could she expect her family who were just as upset as her to help her get through this. They had been a great help but sometimes it just isn't enough. She knew she would eventually get better but she was in a bad place now. Lying back against the tree she closed her eyes and sighed.

Conan had begun to wander outside the castle walls. He had been frequently wandering these days, especially during his free time. He could not find a good reason to waste moments on books and homework when he can focus on them during class. No, he did not need to review. Whatever grade comes out on the end of the semester, he would accept it regardless. After all, if he would fail, it would be his own fault and not anyone else's. The Hufflepuff boy kept his thoughts in his head, but what stood out the most was a certain girl in his mind. Amelia Jane. He hadn't seen the Slytherin in classes at all. He knew that there were times Amelia wouldn't go to class, but her missing out on all classes was just plain weird. Conan knew Amelia wouldn't just be absent every class for no reason, and it wasn't exactly like he could knock on the Slytherin house requesting for Amelia. No, that's just not possible.

Conan had shrugged off the thoughts in his head. He would think about Amelia later, but first he had to know where his feet had mysteriously taken him where he was on his own train of thoughts. As the boy looked around, he began to see familiar sights and instantly knew where he was. He grinned at the sight before him, it was spring and mother nature just seemed to be happy this time of the year. Conan began to walk through the gardens, scanning and taking everything in sight. And by just some sort of luck, he found a familiar face. Amelia, he thought to himself as he jogged towards her, keeping the noise to a minimum before approaching her. As he came close to her, he saw how beautiful she still was in her eyes, and how much he still liked her. He had to wonder if she still knew him, and he hoped she did as he got to his knees and was beside her, still keeping a safe distance before giving her a light pat on the shoulder.
