Clover used to think joining a pro Quidditch team would be easy. She thought as soon as graduation passed she'd get plucked out of the crowd and put into a professional team. She was a good player, and she knew it, but now she'd spent a few years trying to make it to the big leagues she realized how difficult it was. What didn't surprise her was how rude most coaches were. She expected some brutality and was prepared to mirror it with brutality of her own; it was professional Quidditch after all. Clover expected that much. But actually getting a chance to try out? Next to impossible. The blonde had big ambitions, she always had and wouldn't settle for anything less. Otherwise she knew she would be unhappy and she didn't want to waste her time playing for a second grade team. It was either go hard or go home for her. This of course meant travelling back and forth, pestering coaches to an almost compulsive extent. Today her travels bought her to the UK and the Falmouth Falcons. Early in her seventh year the coach gave in to her pestering and let her tag along for a practice, what Clover hoped for today was a repeat of that. She wanted the coach to give in. They had a taste of what she could do and that would hopefully be her leeway to getting a chance to try out for the team. It was a small hope she was relying on but it was this hope she clung to tightly. Words couldn't describe how difficult life had been for her the past couple of years; she'd wasted enough time chasing her tail like some stupid dog.

Her usual routine of scouting the team's home pitch and proven pointless. The place was almost deserted; she'd spent just over half an hour aimlessly searching the place for any sign of life. Even a janitor was enough, anybody who could point her in the direction of the coach but by the time an hour passed Clover gave up searching the pitch. She had half a mind to just give up completely and maybe try again tomorrow, however the other half of her mind prodded her to try a different approach, and it was this half she listened to. The last time Clover was here she heard of a cafe the players frequented after practice, this cafe was her alternative. If she could find one of the players she of course could find the coach. She sighed nervously before apparating herself outside the cafe. At this point Clover wasn't confident about apparating thanks to the disorientated nausea she suffered from. She had gotten better than she used to be but still somehow managed to stumble when she arrived. This particular time she stumbled into somebody. "I'm so-" Her sentence quickly halted as she looked up to see not only a Falmouth falcon, but the player she'd practiced with years ago. It was unlike the blonde to remember a face so easily, but this one was so attractive she couldn't help but remember. "I remember you." She cocked her head to one side, a shy smile gracing her features. She remembered his face, but sadly not his name. Forgetting names had always been a habit of hers, one she unfortunately couldn't break and one that always plagued her at the worst of times. One of these times was today.

Lucas looked up as the Coach called for them to finish practice. It had been an okay practice, not one of the best though, considering they had just lost a bunch of good players. If they couldn't find more in the next couple of weeks, the Falmouth Falcons would not be playing Quidditch this season. It was a rather upsetting thought for Lucas, he had a hard enough time with is wife as it was. She had told him she was pregnant a few weeks ago, but after doing a few calculations he had discovered that she was either lying, or the baby was not his, but either way, he was not happy. He had not said anything yet, instead he wanted to wait and see how long the witch was going to play this out. He cursed under his breath at ever having married the woman, but he couldn't leave her now, not until he knew the truth and after all, he did still love her. Speed was a big help in dealing with his wife though, which was lucky and Quidditch was his biggest escape. He was always escaping from her there, Francis was a tower of support for him too. He sighed and headed into the change rooms, high fiving some of the team. They had done pretty well, it was just lack off players and some poor judgements that were putting them back. He quickly changed out of his uniform and into his signature jeans and white shirt before quickly leaving the pitch.

Lucas yawned as he made his way to the usual cafe. It had amazing coffee there. He could already taste it as he walked along the path, keeping his head down so that he would not be recognised. However, it was as he was about to walk into the cafe, that he suddenly felt someone sort of fall into him. He caught the offending person and straightened them back up. He looked down and was slightly surprised to recognise her, as not just a girl, but the girl he had been made to train with about three years ago. She was older now obviously, very pretty and she seemed to remember him. Though, he couldn't remember her name, though he had to wonder what she was doing here, having apparated into him. At least that is what he assumed happened, she hadn't been there two seconds ago. He laughed slightly and smiled as he took a slight step back. "Don't worry about it. No harm done." He answered gesturing to the cafe. He would like to catch up with this girl. She was very pretty, but mostly it stopped him thinking about his wife. Besides, she was very interesting and had been interested in Quidditch. He would like to know if she was on a team yet. If not, maybe he could name drop her at the next training session. "Hey, do you want to join me for a coffee or something, catch up?" He was really excited to have some company, the longer he was away from Vanessa, the better.

It irritated Clover she still couldn't remember this guy's name, it was a typical thing for the blonde to forget names easily, and usually she didn't care so much. However today was different. She needed to get on this player's good side and to the Falmouth Falcons coach. She'd already stumbled into him, so remembering his name and making a good impression was crucial. She wanted to impress him big time, thus being the reason she seemed a little too excited at is simple offer of a cup of coffee. "Yeah, totally!" She exclaimed, not waiting a second more before wrapping her hand around his wrist and leading him inside. The place was quaint to say the least, not much her style but it was merely a cafe. Just somewhere she could hopefully dig her claws into this guy and finally get the chance to try out for a professional team. She'd wasted so much of her time, it seemed like this was her final and only chance. She wasn't much in the mood for coffee, or anything for that matter. The blonde managed to discipline herself, flashing the guy a polite smile and ordering herself a cappuccino. Clover found it difficult to continue focusing on this guy, she wanted a try out, and she wanted one today. Never mind that a really attractive guy wanted to spend time with her.

"So I went to the pitch before and it was deserted." She sat herself at a nearby table, gesturing for the guy to join her. She was keeping the subject on his team, hoping that sooner or later she would convince him to let her tag along to practice next time, or that he'd at least mention her to the coach. Clover was very persuasive when she wanted to be, and would gladly spend hours asking about his team if it meant she'd get a try out. "Does that mean you guys don't practice?" She continued. "Because that's pretty ridiculous, don't you think?" She took the first sip of her coffee, immediately disliking the taste. Coffee was never her thing, she had enough energy to begin with so it usually made her feel sick. Today she was willing to stand the bitter taste as it kept her talking to this guy.
