Avie was not scared of anything, or well, that was what he told himself incredibly often. It was a fact that was for the most part, false. Avie was scared of a number of things. He just didn't really realise that he was scared of it really. He didn't like when people were mean to him, but he rarely realised when people were being mean to him. So, in a way, the boy was hardly scared of things. He enjoyed having fun, and he liked taking risk a lot. He just didn't see the point of not doing things because they were a little bit dangerous. Which was a principal that he added to things that he knew that might scare a little more. He had for this reason not yet gone into the forest, but now was his chance. He was both nervous and excited for it. It wasn't really like he was going at a tricky time. He'd just been in the Great Hall, and he'd taken a few things for breakfast and his feet had carried him outside. He had then walked till he stood in front of the forest. He had everything he was need for a fun packed day, and he wasn't afraid of the forest really, well that was what he told himself. In his backpack was also his trusty wand that he really could do very little with, but felt like he needed and the strange newsletter thing, which had his picture in it. Rumour has it, or something. He had taken it just because he'd been curious to read it later and find out what had really been said about him. Well ask someone else to read it to him. He wasn't too fussed, but he wondered why he'd been singled out. He was sure that he hadn't done anything that was really note worthy. He was sure.

After just standing staring at the forest for a good few moments, the boy just decided, f##k it, it's the end of term, what is the worst that could happen. So, he steeled himself and then walked into the forest. He broke into a run after a few steps. He had however somehow completely forgotten that the forest was actually forbidden. Not that it would've really stopped the boy. He ducked and avoided all that he could as he made his way deeper and deeper. Soon, he could barely see the way he'd came. After losing his breath pretty quickly, he came to a slow stop, tripping over his own shoes and tumbling to the ground. He laughed to himself loudly, before remembering where he was and putting a hand over his mouth to stop much more sound. He sat up and glanced around him. He wondered, was this even a good idea. But, as he turned around, the boy could not honestly tell which way he'd come from. So, he decided to go the way his mind and his instinct were telling him. Which was also the wrong way, but he trusted them. So, now at a much slower pace he continued his walk. He had to admit nothing was particularly scary about the forest, but every little sound he felt like he could hear more clearly, and he had to admit his heart was racing. He was jumping at small sounds he knew was nothing. The forest just heightened everything. Being in the forest he was sure he'd be alone. He kept his gaze moving all around him. Not wanting to miss anything, he was keeping an eye out for rocks, but he was also just making sure he knew what was surrounding him. Avie was a little bit scared but he was incredibly happy with his decision to come to the forest.

Kaenon had been exposed to the magical world for a while now, and he still found himself in a state of confusion. However, being a little too proud to ask for help, and finding himself exiled because of his naivety when it came to the magical world, the young Slytherin found himself with only one person he would consider a friend, and he didn't even understand what she was going on about half the time. In fact, basically all the time he didn't understand what she was saying. He was falling behind at a rate that he was not sure he could catch back up, so he resigned to the idea that he just wouldn't tell his parents about his sub-par grades and try to brush up next year... or maybe the year after. He wasn't sure, but he would think about that when it happened, because forethought wasn't something the young boy did often. Forethought was for worry-warts. However, the muggle-born had heard a lot about the 'forbidden forest' and he could not help but wonder just how forbidden it was. Was it forbidden as in he'd be strung up by his thumbs n a dungeon forbidden? Or would he just get a little slap on the wrist and a nasty note home forbidden? Could they even send letter to his parents - they were muggles and didn't really have an address. He scratched his head in thought, and remembered how he had been contacted in the first place. His professor's did tell him that he needed to work harder than most to do stuff, since he knew nothing but muggle things. Surely going into this forest was a learning exercise? Well, that was how the Slytherin saw it, anyway. He was being a dedicated student.

Wearing his Slytherin robes, Kae made his way towards the forest, wondering about what he would find there. It was not the dead of night, but he had neglected to go to breakfast this morning because he had no stomach for it. He did not feel like eating breakfast, and simply wanted to wander around and get into things. He had hoped to find Ellington as well, but he doubted the Gryffindor would miss food for anything. The Great Hall had been noisy of late, what with that magazine going around. He, personally, had not read it. His parents would be furious if they found out that he was engaging in gossip, and Kaenon had to agree, gossip was not something he had to worry about. People were also becoming very upset and angry about it, and Kae didn't want anything to do with that. He was here to be happy and have fun and learn stuff, not to get all mad and angry.

Kae ducked under some low-lying branches, but paused when he heard something. With the forest reminding him of some other areas in New Zealand, he found himself hearing a sound that he did not expect. Some sort of laugh or something? He followed the sound, wondering who else was here and then deciding that he would leave if it was someone older or something. He took note of where he had come from, as he was deep enough to not know the way out by sight, and continued further - finding a young boy walking through the forest as he had. The Slytherin hid behind some trees, finding himself on a bit of a ledge above the boy. he had no plans of scaring him, and had initially decided to circle back and leave the boy alone, as he didn't know him, and wasn't sure if they would even want to talk. What he had not expected, however, was that the ledge may be unstable. With a gasp of surprise, the leafy ground beneath Kae's feet gave way, and he went sliding towards the boy below him.

While he wasn't sure where he was heading, or if he was really heading the right direction he was sure that it wouldn't matter, and that this forest was not as scary as some people made it sound. He was a brave person, at times. Just it depended on the situation. He was sometimes a little less scared about things. This forest seemed to heighten certain things. It made noises in his mind appear louder, and movements caught his eyes a lot more than if he was just walking around hogwarts castle, or really anywhere else. He stopped and glanced around him, when he heard a strange noise as if someone was following him. But, when he couldn't see any sign of that being true he ignored it, and just kept moving. It was nice this place really. He liked how it wasn't like school in the slightest, while he knew he wasn't that far away from it, he felt much further. Like his home just might be on that distant horizon, which he realised was just more trees. A part of Avie wondered why they would even let a forest like this grow at the edge of the school. He wasn't sure why they would, he liked it, but surely it was dangerous, and it was pretty easy to get into. HIs mind had forgotten that it was technically forbidden, but it wasn't like knowing that really would've stopped the teen. It wasn't like knowing that small fact would've made the boy feel different about this adventure. He might've just waited until the next year before he did anything. He smiled ever so slightly to himself, actually really pleased with this. He couldn't wait to tell his cousins about this forest that they'd never see because they were homeschooled.

As he continued walking, lost in the few thoughts about this forest he had, he was interrupted when out of nowhere mud, dirt, twigs, leaves started falling, slipping down and hitting him, full force. Everything would've been just fine if there hadn't also been a boy, who fell towards him. Avie ended up almost crying out in surprise but was cut off when the boy actually hit him at full force, and sent him also tumbling backwards to the floor. Into the dirt, and backwards. He stopped just a few metres away from the other boy dazed, with his bag having opened and a few things having fallen out it. However, Avie didn't really just let himself lay on the ground, instead he just got straight to his feet, ignoring the blood rushing to his head, and glanced over at the other person. It was a boy, who seemed to be the same age as him. "You alright?" He asked, as he took of his rucksack and began to put the few items which had fallen out. An apple, his wand, a bottle of water and the bit of paper, that had his face on it. He wiped the apple on his t-shirt and then placed it back in the bag, as well as the wand. Before picking up the water and the bit of paper, both of which were closest to the boy who'd bumped into him. "Water?" He sat down on the ground next to the boy who had fallen into him, intending to wait to see if the boy was alright before he continued to walk. Maybe they could be friends and he might be able to ask him what it said about him. That didn't matter for now, he was more interested in what had happened, was this boy following him.

"Are you following me?" He asked, tilting his head slightly. "Because if you are, then why? I'm not that interesting to be followed, I'm not breaking any rules." He added smiling slightly, waiting for an answer from the boy beside him.
