<SIZE size="50">Sporting a pair of beige jeans and a formfitting white shirt James wandered the streets of Nice, France aimlessly as his mind demanded that he find something to do to occupy his time. The days were warm as they were long, May was always a busy time in the country as people shook off the last remnants of winter and made way for spring which promised long days lounging in the afternoon sun like lazy lizards. It had been a couple of months since he had graduate from Beauxbaton as he started his new life as an adult. Though he had hoped to stay young forever, it seemed that fate had other plans as yet another year rolled by in a blink of an eye. He had grown so much over the past year that it seemed almost surreal that he was now all grown up. At least that what Tillian always went on about every Friday afternoon that they met, he of course moved out at the ripe age of eighteen as he attempted to be more independent. It however was always a sore spot when his Step-father was around as he insisted time and time again that he was not old enough to be on his own and that their was no rush but those almost pleading words fell on deaf ears as he James stood his ground much to Tillian's sadness. Yet to keep his father happy they had arranged to meet every friday afternoon for coffee or lunch so that hey could keep in touch.

James of course was busy with work as he was forced to get a job after graduation so as to pay his own way in the world, another sore spot with his father who insisted on paying for at least half of Jamie's expenses which he refused. James had gotten a job at a local bookstore much like the same one that he had spent endless hours over the summer with Samuel, his best friend and on again off again lover, though now he was working behind the counter rather than relaxing in the mismatched array of couches and chairs that littered the small space. James was not one to want to really work for the ministry though he had dreams of working with magical creatures; he was no content spending out his days in the comfort of his garden that he made himself as soon as he moved in and got settled. His house was a few blocks away from work so it was an easy commute though instead of poofing in and out like most wizards did he preferred to ride his bike. Besides being an excellent way to work off all those wonderful lattes it was also a way for him to enjoy the warm salty air that blew in off of the sea especially this time of year. With a job and a cozy little cottage of his own there was little need or want in his life though he did some time get the longing to spend his day with someone who he adore.

He of course stayed in contact with Samuel though when they were together they spent most of their time either fooling around or being crazy like they always did much to the annoyance of Jonathon, Samuel's younger brother, as they caused all sorts of trouble in typical fashion. Of course when James and Sam crossed into lover lane things got messy and complicated as Sam was a free spirit who loved beautiful people... with low self esteem. James on the other hand was a romantic in the truest sense but to keep Samuel close he often times enjoyed the company of another to combat his conflicted feelings about his longest friend. Open ended relationships were of course not for ever one but Jamie knew that he would always love Samuel no matter if he was his friend or his lover that is of course what soul mates had to endure. Kindred spirits was the term that Sam used from time to time when he began to channel his inner artist, he was of course a painter and a darn good one at that, of course Jamie would always roll his eyes at the young painter at this point due to the fact that he was most likely hopped on caffeine. As the seasons changed so did their relationship, Jamie was always working and Jonathan was off to school so all three of them rarely had time to see each other though he made an effort to stop in when he could see Samuel at work. He still had no clue what the man did for a living but that was what came with being bestirs with a child of a wind spirit.

Jamie looked up from his thoughts after walking for a few minutes and realized that he was in the local park as a Frisbee flew by his head causing him to pay better attention to his surroundings. The laughter of children filled the air as little ones weaved in and out of trees nearby, a very intense game of tag had them panting out of breath but that did not slow them down, as a few couples sprawled out on the grassy knoll in sheer relaxation. Some read books, while others enjoyed an after noon lunch break while he smiled at the passing people as he continued his way toward the pond. The outdoors brought him an inner peace that was hard found ,outside years of mediation of course, that could not be filled by anything that he could imagine. He had an affinity to the natural world of course and had begun to take an interest in the less practice forms of magic such as astronomy and divination as he sought deeper answer and connection to the world around him. It had produced a unique change in his overall mood as he had though his education become more peaceful and calm than he had once been. More in control of his own emotions he seemed less chaotic and more cool than he had been of course he still had his moments though those had been few and far between. Sitting on a bench he looked off across the pond where he watched a pair of swans swim peacefully across the glassy water as he once more let his mind wonder this time to his rose bushes that he could not wait to get home and trim.
