Lily was a little nervous. After the initial success of the note sending, she had decided to leave another note today, telling Clifton she would be walking around the gardens after lunch if he wanted to join her. It had been an open invitation, and she wasnt entirely sure he would accept her offer. She hoped he would. She had carefully picked out a light blue sundress and brushed her hair again before coming down, leaving it flowing over her shoulders until it curled lightly below her shoulder blades. She had even found a nice pair of dark grey flats to wear and a small silver anklet that she had gotten from Rose on her last birthday. Maybe it wasnt really necessary to dress with such care, but she wanted to look nice just in case he did come. She took a deep breath, trying not to look like she was waiting as she paused to smell a daffodil.
