It was time for Halloween yet again! River had to admit she was extremely excited. Not only did she get to attend a party, something that rarely occurred before Hogwarts, but she was given able to dress up. This young Slytherin girl was not normally into fashion in the slightly; that was her older sister's thing. Yet River never turned down a chance for Emmaline to design her a costume. It wasn't often the young girl was able to wear one of her sister's creations. And this year it was amazing. River was dressed up as an angel, wings and all. She had spent a lot of time doing her make up, even adding little sparkles on her now extended eye lashes. Her hair was brown tonight, probably the most 'natural' colour River had worn in ages. It felt a little odd for the normally bright haired girl, but she did not want anything to take away from the beauty of the costume.
River entered the Great Hall. As with every year, the sight of the decorated Hall was magnificent. It was always made her smile when she saw the house colours gone and the holiday ones in their place. Of course the various costumes that the students wore were always a sight to see. River glanced around the Great Hall as she wondered through the crowds. There were costumes of just about everything. River could not stop looking around at just about everything, not even able to see each item, each costume, each decoration. The young Slytherin girl tried to weave through the crowds bumping into a few people accidentally as her costume wings almost knocked a drink out of a hand of a student as she passed. "Sorry" River muttered as she continued to explore the Great Hall, finding herself standing outside of the spooky tent full of mirrors. She always enjoyed this part of the Feast.
