Simon's costume was not overly adventurous....in fact it was very similar the one he had worn in first year, just a football/soccer outfit instead of an american football outfit. Really Simon just knew they were muggle things and didn't that make sense to go as muggle things more than normal things? Didn't it? Surely it did. He had a football in his hands as he walked about the great hall, the part-veela admiring all that others had put in for this celebration. It was truly wonderful. He couldn't help but be glad he had opted to attend and with a costume no less. It wasn't too great of a costume when he compared it to others, but he was happy with it, and it was a solid costume, there was no second guess what he was dressed as was there? However, this wasn't exactly helpful in winning the costume contest he was sure, which was what he wanted. The boy decided to just look for people he knew Alexis, or Charlotte, either or being good options of people to find, it would give him something to do and that was a good thing. he grabbed himself a drink and headed to a table to be able to better try and find his friends in the sea of costumes.

With the red and white headdress on top of her head, Alexis walked into the Great Hall for the Halloween Feast the second time around. Still, it never failed to amaze her. The decorations, food and the music. Looking around, she saw a couple first years wandering around just having fun, especially at the snack bar. The Ravenclaw alt Keeper laughed softly since she remembered when she was like that last year. Blue eyes continued to scan the massive hall as Alexis looked for her friends. They passed by a boy wearing a soccer uniform. She did a double take when she realized who it was. Merely a few yards from where she was stood Simon Vanity. "Simon!", she called out with a laugh as she waved her hand to catch his attention.

Simon looked around and spotted who called his name, he smiled at her, "Alexis!" he walked back over to her with a warm expression on his face. The part-veela looked at her costume, trying to figure out what she was dressed as. It wasn't entirely obvious to him, maybe it was kind of showman thing, a muggle magician. "What are you dressed as Alexis?" with a smile, motioning to the costume that she was wearing, he thought his costume was better than hers, certainly his was move obvious, and that was the better costume right? The boy shifted the ball from one arm to the other. "You look nice, but I don't know who was it is," Simon added, hoping that she didn't feel too insulted that he didn't know what the costume was. Maybe it was obvious when she said, but for now he had no idea.

Alexis smiled when Simon saw her and walked over to where she was. Meeting him halfway, she almost laughed when Simon looked at her costume. He looked amazed although a hint of confusion was also there. When he finally asked him what she was,she giggled before replying,"A circus girl.",she pulled out her wand and said,"Accio hoop!" A few seconds later, a golden hoop of a meter in diameter came sailing above their heads. She caught it and gave Simon a circus girl-like pose. "I had second thoughts bringing this because it might distract other people, you know. And I cannot dance with this with me.",she laughed after explaining it to her friend. Looking at her friend, she did not forget to comment on his costume. "You look nice yourself. I remember you wore a similar one last year. You do like sports, don't you?",she asked.

Despite her attempts to drop out of this wizarding school, Ivy was stuck here for yet another year. Authorities had explained to her that if she didn't learn how to control her magic it could be disastrous for both herself and everyone around her, so she was required to keep learning magic against her will. Because of her unwillingness to socialize last year, thinking she'd be gone by now, Ivy had no friends of her own to hang out with, something she didn't really mind really, but was still worth noting during times like this. She figured if she was going to be stuck here she might as well try and have some fun while she could. Halloween was huge in the 'normal' world so she was glad to be able to have a night of normalcy in this castle, but when she walked in some of the magical decorations creeped her out. She remembered last year they had enchanted some cupcakes to crawl like actual spiders, so Ivy made sure to avoid the snacks table tonight, unfortunately ruining one of the best things about Halloween, and instead decided to look around. She was wearing a cheerleading uniform which was the most standard Halloween costumes, but with some of the stuff these wizards seemed to come up with or be used to, they could use a dose of traditional normalcy. Ivy spotted two people she noticed in her classes, one of whom she shared a dorm with, and she didn't talk to much, but she was feeling rather social for tonight so she decided to approach the two. Something about the boy with the red hair attracted her to him and Ivy couldn't quite place why, but she found herself smiling once she reached the two of them. "Hi," she said shyly, feeling guilty for the way she iced all her housemates out last year. "I'm Ivy," she said, opting for a simple introduction.

Hudson didn't have a costume on but he still decided to go to the Halloween feast as he knew the food was tasty. He glanced around the room and spotted a group of his housemates, Alexis being one of the them. She was one of the few people he knew more than just a name, a very friendly person. So he decided to go over to her the group of Ravenclaws from his year. He didn't know the girl who was saying her name was Ivy very well, but he knew Simon. He didn't think him and Simon would become good friends, Hudson wasn't the sporty type of person but it seemed like Simon was. He couldn't remember the last time him and Alexis had a chat, he thought it might have been at the Valentine's dance last year but he wasn't too sure. He never really talked that much to anyone. "Hey Alexis," he said coming up to the group offering a short smile that faded back onto his face. His fancy set of wizard robes he did throw on were swaying behind him as he walked up. He thought if anyone asked he'd give random male wizard names for his costume for the night.
