Honey and Sulphur

--Arnost watched with an evil smile on his lips when Alphonse Snow fell to his inevitable death. The green light took away life, and he glanced over at his daughter once more, before nodding lightly. She gave him the opening to take away his life. Arnost felt he power surge through his blood, what he had left because the bleeding from his injured chest never seemed to slow down. The injury seemed much worse than he originally thought, but the fading of his image in the Death Glass had all but been a hoax. They all nagged at him to get healed, but Arnost did not want it. He preferred to allow his body to do it on his own. He felt more pain when Asparuh himself was teaching him a lesson than this. So, if his body was strong enough, he could go home today. If not, then he would depart with the best of them. Arnost glanced over at Danielle and he rolled his onyx eyes. She really needed to worry about others over him. Arnost muttered, "You really should not be harassing me. I stood up for you, and your family anyway. Go worry about someone who needs it." Arnost wanted so much to flick her on the forehead like he used to do when he was a teenager, but he suddenly did not find the energy. He just wanted to really lay down and rest, but he remained standing. His twin came along, looking as fearsome as ever before. He glanced up, seeing his twin and not meeting with his eyes directly because Asparuh could easily read thoughts. Even he was telling him to get healed. Now that was a laugh. Arnost smirked up at Asparuh and he retorted, "Aww, worried about baby brother? But you know as well as I, Death cannot be cheated. If I die, I die. That is how it works. But sometimes, life does not end with death." Arnost had made a valid point with this, of course.

--There was a sudden pain in his chest, and muscles completely stopped working beneath Arnost. He fell back, landing on the floor with a loud thud, the sound echoing around the cries and sobs. Arnost realized as his onyx eyes peered around him, that he was in a pool of his own blood. Huh, how did that happen? thought Arnost. He glanced at his chest, and he noticed that the Sectumsempra had pretty much torn up his chest to bits. He was bleeding a lot more than he realized, and the healers would not be able to heal him in time. Not that he would let them anyway. He could hear Aleyha's voice, and then her kneeling next to him. Arnost gazed over at his daughter, before he uttered, "Carry on, be like the Dark Lord, my Parselmouth daughter. Be dark, for yourself, for me, and the future." Arnost reached his hand up and he laid it on her stomach for a moment, before he smirked lightly, and allowed his head to roll to the side. The heart slowly increased in pulse, trying to get the blood that was so thin and absent in his body, before giving up. No pulse, no breath, Arnost Grigor Zhefarovich passed on. Last thoughts, he did not want to leave his family, his children all without a father. Body limp, it seemed like brother of the Patriarch went to join his little sister Raisa in the land of the dead.

--So it seems...

--The moment that Alphonse Snow was killed, Aleyha could honestly say that she was happy that he was gone. He had caused far too much grief to Theodore. Aleyha was glad that he was gone, and her father eliminated him. Once Theodore actually got up and ran to his dad, Aleyha felt some sort of grief. What if Theodore had killed him, and then had to be all regretful about it? Aleyha stood up slowly, and she wobbled a bit before she remained standing. Once Theodore returned back to her side, she frowned and she murmured, "Theodore, we tried to stop him, and this is what happens when you don't think before you act." Aleyha rested her hand on her husband's shoulder, before her red eyes landed on Arnost, before he collapsed on the ground. She rushed over to his side, because she did not know what was going on. Kneeling down in the blood, not caring if it got on her or not. Aleyha felt his chest and could see the blood just pouring from his chest. She felt the tears rise as her darkest dream was coming true, her father was dying. "Daddy? Hang in there, okay?" Aleyha heard his words, and she just felt the race of tears running down her cheeks. His words, he was telling her to be a Death Eater, and teach the Dark Arts.

--She nodded, and mouthed that she would. She glanced down at her stomach, and wondered what he meant by that. But before she could even ask, she saw him draw the last breath, and die. Aleyha placed her hand on her own stomach, before she shook her head, and thought that the odds were against her and Theodore anyway. She leaned over and shook the limp body to the best of her abilities. "Dad? Please...don't die on me. Dad, wake up. Dad!" The Parselmouth knew that in her heart, he was gone, and just started sobbing. She could not even wipe the blood from her arms, cheeks and hair. There was so much, from where he bled out. She could not even move. She hugged herself close to him, feeling nothing but coldness. How could fate take her father away? He had raised her from the moment she turned fourteen, and she was around him for some time from the moment she was born and onward. Aleyha just continued to grieve. How could one expect her to live right now, just married and everything without her father now?

Leon could bite down on what had happened. He was almost convinced that it was all one big bad dream and that nothing had changed about his life. In his eyes he saw his brother as invincible and never to be the first out of all of them to be killed by anything or anyone in Leon's lifetime at least. But here he was dead on the floor, in a pool of his own blood as the light left his eyes and the color left his skin. Leon knelt down and tried to muster words to what he was thinking. It couldn't true, it couldn't possibly be true that his big brother was dead. The one that he used to look up to when he was younger. Effie came along in hysterics and before he even knew what was going on he was being gripped onto by her and he pat her back absent mindedly. He would go to Svetlana right now but he wasn't sure where she was or if she wanted to deal with the situation he was in right now either. Across from him he saw that the other Death Eater that Alphonse had been fighting with had also just passed away. Two other were dead besides his brother and Arnost. 'This is now how is should be.' Biting his lip he had to tear his eyes away from his brother and as he walked away he tried to figure out what it was that was going to happen to all of them. Theodore looked to even be upset and the man wondered where little Alyssa was right now. Would she come to see this scene? Hopefully not, it would break her little heart. Resting his back against the wall Leon covered his face as a tear or two started to leak from his eyes. Why did his brother have to go, why oh why?

--Watching his brother out of the corner of his eye, Asparuh doubted that there was something more serious going on, especially when Arnost could not even look at his brother dead in the eyes. Yet, he was conversing with him, and Asparuh had nothing to say. He fell into silence which was very rare for someone to see because he never tolerated someone standing up so boldly to him. Asparuh had a weaker spot for his twin brother, and thought that no one but he could ever harm or kill him. He needed Arnost around for the most part, to watch after his mistakes and to be the Duke of the Zhefarovich family. Why Arnost never listened to his older, wiser twin, he would never know. Asparuh wiped the splatters of blood off his face to the best of his abilities, with the sleeve of his robes, only smearing the red like soft, metallic paint across his pale skin. Asparuh figured that things would not get any worse, and that the bodies would need to be disposed of. The moment that he took a step from his brother, he heard a thud from the silence ignoring the cries of the other Snow's for their own fallen. Asparuh turned his eyes to see Arnost on the ground, and Aleyha bent over him. The last words were not heard of by the Death Eater, but more or less just empty words. That was all they were, and his brother managed to die right then and there, ignoring and refusing all help that was offered to him before it came down to it.

--First it was Raisa, Asparuh's heartless baby sister that was killed, and then it was Arnost, fallen and killed by a man that Arnost himself killed first. It was like a sick game of cat and mouse, only both lost the game. Asparuh closed his eyes, and he could not even bare to think about it. He lost his brother. Asparuh glared down at everyone else, and it seemed as though the tension merely rose, as the anger and rage flooded his eyes, and the will of blood to be shed was not enough. If he had his way, every single person that ever came from the Snow family would be dead right now, for being around Alphonse for taking the life of his twin. Asparuh merely thought with utter calmness, So help me, if one more person is harmed by this wretched family, I will make them all pay for it with their lives. With anger and frustration that needed to be released, Asparuh instead did not stick around any longer. He apparated off, to a distant and dark mansion of his own, in the Zhefarovich Manor, where he just wanted to be alone. Another funeral to prepare. First Raisa, then Arnost. He had no idea who else remotely close to him was going to kick the bucket next. He had a lot of thinking to do, and allowing emotions like this to cloud the mind of a Patriarch was generally unacceptable.

--Seeing Alphonse Snow die was probably a treat, however seeing Arnost die right then and there after fatally being wounded on the chest, that was not what he was expecting at all. Axel stood up with the rest of the family, looking down at Arnost, a man that lived so long, yet still acted as young as Axel himself. Axel was thoroughly amazed that he could be taken down so easily and everything. Axel ran his fingers through his blonde hair and felt a wave of sudden depression over his body. Seeing Aleyha cry like that, seeing Arnost's bloodied body, and finally, seeing his own father turn his back and apparate away. Axel knew that Asparuh would not be wanting to talk to anyone at all. He would want to deal with it alone. And that was probably not the best way to go. Perhaps Axel was not the favorite son of Asparuh, but he was still well respected. Axel bowed his head and he too apparated off to go find Asparuh and see what they want to do with the body for the time being. Axel would have to return inevitably anyhow to help retrieve the body of his fallen uncle. A funeral would be planned, but how long it would be, he did not know. Would Asparuh want to wait until after he was buried and after all the children were out on school holiday to have it occur? Axel thought that it would be the best, another idea to throw out there. This was one of the many reasons why he was appointed Head, once Kalif assumed the throne.

Noah didn't crowd around Alphonse like everyone else. Mainly because he thought if he did he would get sick or something pathetic like that. Dead people creeped him out because he feared death in a way. Or rather the things that one could miss when they died. Everyone looked so hurt too because the other man had lost his life in the process. It was a vicious and cruel cycle that he tried to comprehend because he couldn't understand why they couldn't just settle their disputes in a much more peaceful manner. The two men had their arms visibly showing and the Dark Mark had never looked so Haunting to Noah before. As people started to scatter left and right to either get out of the way or avoid the rambunctious Lefevre's that were started to get all riled up over something. Their leader, Danielle appeared to just be in shock but others like Auden and Greyson were going around harassing members of the Snows who had been on the opposite side of them, mostly threats and taunts. Noah supposed that they were just trying to cover up the fact that their leader even seemed to be in shock. But the way they were acting worried him a little. Noticing the way that Nataliia was acting did sadden him. She after all did just lose her husband. Noah approached her and helped her up and away from the body because the closer she was to it, the more horrifying it would end up for her. He wrapped an arm around her shoulder in a comforting way and lifted her up and helped her move away and forced her to sit down. He asked someone to bring her a glass of water and stood by her silently, he wasn't sure if it was the right time to speak yet. But he was hoping that sooner or later everyone would settle down so that they could move the bodies.

--The scene itself was saddening. Arnost dead, Alphonse dead, everyone had a right to be rather depressed, but Chavdar was more on the numb side of things. He loved his uncle, sure, but crying and all was not going to bring him back. Chavdar watched as Nataliia was brought away from Alphonse by another man, and Chavdar narrowed his eyes. Wasn't this the man that fathered children of hers while she was under the effects of a potion after she had an operation? Chavdar glanced over the scene, seeing that Danielle was in shock, Aleyha was devastated, and his father turned and apparated away from the scene. Chavdar let out a sigh and he went to his sister's aid. He was there for her when she and Joseph were together, and then he died, and now he was going to be there for her now that her second husband has died. It was amazing how many husbands she lost in just a few years of her young life. Chavdar was a little shocked to see that she was actually just sobbing silently now, almost hugged up to Noah Snow. It would have been cute if Alphonse was not in the picture and causing her to behave like this. Chavdar let out a sigh, and hoped that all would be better for his family, for Asparuh because if Asparuh was in any way pissed with someone, they were going to be eradicated. Chavdar motioned for Hadan to go over to Aleyha to get her away from the body, as he moved over to move the body back to the Zhefarovich Manor, for proper burial. He was lucky, because his twin brother Axel apparated back to assist.

--Shane could honestly say that he was a Dark wizard now, having used Dark magic on those that opposed his family and those that were on the right Snow's side. However, the young wizard had no idea the costs of such battles. Always had he thought that the wars would end with their victories at no costs, but seeing Arnost, his dear uncle, the older brother of his mother, dead, it was a little perturbing to Shane. Never had he expected such a tragedy. Arnost taught him to duel like a man, and Shane let out a frustrated sigh. Why did it have to be Arnost? He was a good figure to the family, nothing like the great Patriarch but it was like losing a close equal to the mighty man. An honored Death Eater, a legendary man in the family for most others to remember, Shane would never forget the teachings. Shane bowed his head, and he too started to help out the others, trying to keep them strong and well. It was the least the young man could do in a situation like this anyway.

--Venita Johnson had been fighting with her long since reunited family now that she had her daughter back, her mark upon her back and with the forces of darkness once more where she belonged, she had every right to be here tonight. So proud of her daughter, she was. Venita knew that she would be a fine Death Eater. Venita thought that she was simply too old to be in the business having raised two daughters, and lost one of her own. In fact, she did not think that the Death Eaters would bother with her for marrying a squib, but who would ever know? Venita just wanted some peace, and if she could, she would go to Azkaban for her crimes. There was no shame in it. Venita however was not thinking of herself right now. Her brown eyes pooled with the loss and grief of Arnost, before she watcher Hadan listen to Chavdar, her adopted father. She owed so much to Chavdar, and being around Hadan and Miriah for the time being really made everything worthwhile now. She helped Hadan to become what she wanted. Miriah on the other hand, was in another profession that constantly had Venita worried, as that was how her twin brother was killed. Venita started to heal the others that were injured to the best of her abilities, to try to think of other things other than their departed member.

--Seeing Arnost die was perhaps one of the hardest things that Hadan Johnson had ever seen in her life. He was a great man, been around for as long as she could remember, done some amazing - and not so amazing things in his long years on this earth. Hadan was then motioned by Chavdar to get Aleyha away from the body. Hadan rushed over to her cousin, knelt down and whispered, "Come now, Aleyha, Theodore needs you as much as you need him right now." Hadan pulled the small woman up hugged her lightly, not caring about the blood all over her clothing. Hadan practically dragged Aleyha over to Theodore and set her down next to her husband. Hadan stood by them, her red eyes lowering onto the fellow Death Eater in training. Now he would know about her anyway, but it was because Arnost had long since informed him of it. That and they were in missions of scares together. Hadan let out a sigh, and she turned her eyes to look at the older Death Eaters. Those that were healed must be feeling a little better. For the time being that is anyway.

If Nicolette could and wanted to, she would have jumped for joy when Alphonse was pronounced as dead. But since her inside's were practically jello and she kind of felt like she was either going to throw up or pass out, she stayed put. Someone managed to kill the sorry bastard and she got to witness him lose his own life. From the very minute the green jet of life shot him Nicolette felt her heart race and her eyes widen a small fraction. Her heart did not weep for Alphonse at all. But she was surprised that after forty years of hatred towards him, she was finally able to watch that sorry bastard die. 'If I didn't feel like my stomach was about to feel apart this would be the perfect day.' Nicolette learned back against the wall and breathed out. She could feel more blood rising to her mouth but she spit it out and tried to settle herself again. Something was certainly up and once the commotion died down she would try to seek out some professional help. Nicolette was a skilled Healer but not to the point where she could diagnose herself on her own health problems. Her quiet moment of peace did not last long because then Arnost had fallen too. Nicolette's golden eyes peered open and she tried to push herself up to get over there and see if she could fix it. But the pain grew to much and she winced as her body sat itself back down. Theodore was in hysterics and now so was Aleyha, both of them owed her so much but in a way she pitied them because she knew what it was like to lose her parents when she was a little girl. Granted she was very little when it happened and then was raised up by some creepy ass scientist that like her much better as test subject than as an actual human being. Now Arnost was dead too. This was not the way it was supposed to do. 'If we all start killing one another how do we expect to get rid of the real problem here.' Nicolette muttered with a roll of her eyes. Her golden eyes drifted over to some brunette who brought Aleyha over and sighed. These two were now seeing the harsh reality of it all. People died and there was nothing anyone could do about it.

--Hades was so glad that the bastard fell to the ground and Arnost killed him. But the fact that Arnost lost his life in the process was different. Hades let out a sigh, and knew that there was nothing that anyone could do about this at all. Arnost was gone but he had done something great before he fell. Hades went over to Danielle's side, and watched the two twins handle the body, and everyone else seemed to be healing and grieving. Hades simply went over to the rest and he did not bother healing anyone. He thought that there was enough around them to know that everyone would soon be conscious and about. Though he would deal without some people getting healed though, as some did not deserve it. The death toll was not large so it did not really matter. Hades saw that Chavdar and Axel did not need any help lifting their dead uncle, even his own. Hades knew that there was little to think about right now. Hades thought that even if a small bit of Arnost held onto life, magical beings like themselves always had the chance of returning back to this world. But the odds were, with Arnost and his secret mind, there was really no telling who or what he held onto - or could - enough to bring him back as a spirit at least. Raisa never returned, and she had a baby daughter born not months before she was killed.

<COLOR color="#CC0066">"Danielle I can't find an-" Axelle apparated to the Snow Manor in a hurry to inform her older sister and the family's sister that she couldn't find any other members that could help them. From the moment that Gabrielle informed her and Arnost of the trouble at the Snow Manor she had been working so hard to impress her sister and help out. But things did did not work out to her favor apparently. Her mouth fell open and she hurried past various members of all families when she noticed that her husband was being taken away by two men. He looked bloody but peaceful. Axelle demanded answers from her sister and all she managed to get was "He bled to death." And then the blonde was in hysterics. Her husband was killed? How was that even possible, that the one guy she loved and she cared about and was actually happy with, wasn't even alive anymore. A hand covering her mouth she breathed out and sobbed as she stood next to her sister, she didn't like to cry and appear weak in front of Danielle but it wasn't fair. She cared a lot for Arnost and she didn't even get to say goodbye to him. The other man that lay dead next to them when ignored by Axelle and before she turned away form the scene she gave her sister one last look. What the younger blonde did understand was, why did Danielle look so upset? Didn't she hate Arnost?

--Demitris was not so much fighting as he was just trying to make sense of what had happened. All he knew was that he too was summoned to come here, to a Manor where he had never been by his great-uncle. Demitris glanced around with his green eyes and he wondered just who everyone was exactly. Demitris had never seen anyone dying before, and then he saw a young man that did not look as old as a grandfather yet, but he was still, no one deserved to die. But then the killer was struck down as well. The killer was none other than his grandfather, the only one that he had left alive, but the issue was that he did not really get as saddened as one grandson would. Arnost was never really there for Demitris because of his blood type and all that. Demitris did not even care about blood and he wouldn't for the longest time. He was not really prejudice, but he knew the dark arts, was at one point the Head Boy, so he never knew what the issue was with the muggleborns. Demitris ran his fingers through his hair, and though Arnost was never around, he was still his grandfather and he was suddenly depressed.

Alyssa Chevalier got a letter from her older sister Gabrielle urging her to the Snow Manor as quickly as possible because there was a problem. For awhile she was considering on just staying at home. Not because she had work or she was busy with anything else, but because they had exiled her. They hated her so why would the want her there at all. It had to be important of they wanted her to be around them. Apparating to the Snow Manor, she turned her head to the side to let her crystal blue eyes quickly glance over at her husband who insisted he come along. Her stare at him only lasted for a moment because a few members of the Snow family walked by, one of them absolutely covered in blood and looking as if they had just seen a ghost or something. They stopped when they saw her and Vincent standing there. At first they just stared at Vincent with wide eyes, for a moment she didn't understand why but then she remembered that since they were Death Eaters they were all weary of an Auror being around. Finally they all cast glares onto Alyssa and walked the injured person away and out of her site. A regretful sigh escaped Alyssa, she shouldn't have come back. Deciding against just going home she continued into the next room. Uneasily she ignored the names they called her, b!itch, half-breed, she had all heard them before so she was trying to ignore how much it stung to hear them call her by those names. Once inside the main room Alyssa visibly froze when she saw a small crowd of people around a body. "W-what happened?" Alyssa asked herself more than anyone but she was sure Vincent could hear her. A polished fingernail brushed some of her hair out of her face and when her eyes got used to looking at the scene she saw so many horrors. Her brother looked to be in hysterics, Nicolette was leaning up against the wall and looked like she was in horrible spirits, and there was just so much blood. It made her thin stomach churn painfully. Biting her lip she tried not to scream or cry out in fear or from being scared, she was afraid it would upset Vincent. It took a look or two, but eventually she figured out that the body on the ground was her father. "Daddy!" No longer could the blonde keep it in and she ran towards her father. Was he okay? Why was everyone just standing there too?

Once she reached him Alyssa crouched down next to her father, he was so pale and so still, it scared her. Reaching out a hand she place in on his face and tears pricked the corner of her eyes. She set her hand down to adjusted herself so it didn't hurt her to crouch down like this. But when she lifted her hand back up again she noticed that a thick amount of dark red blood was dripping from it. A squeak of horror left Alyssa and she backed away like there was a flock of spiders on her, her jeans were soaked with her dad's blood and now so was her sweater. "Daddy?" Her voice croaked out as she learned forward again. No movement came from him and before she could stop it, her beautiful blue eyes started to build up with tears. Her father was dead. Sure he mistreated her a lot but he still did the things that a father should do. If she hadn't been considering dirty blood by him he might have loved her more. But now both of her parents were dead and she was exiled from the family by her brother. Alyssa had no one but Vincent and if he were ever to get hurt or decided he didn't love her anymore, she would be alone. And seeing him like this made her feel sick to her stomach. The tears started to fall like raindrops from a rain cloud and before she knew it she was crying, crying over a man that hated her. If it wasn't bad enough already, the Dark Mark upon her father's arm was enough to make anyone sick. He hated people like her and that mark was a solid reminder that one day he could have easily killed her. Alyssa glanced to the side when she saw Gabrielle approach near her, at least she looked sympathetic. "I can't believe this is happening, I-...why would people kill one another like this? I-..." Alyssa cut off and wiped her eyes, sniffling. Why did people hurt one another? Why did no one try to stop them from doing this?

--Vincent Chevalier was a little more than concerned when Alyssa was alerted by Gabrielle that something was going on in the Manor. The Snow Manor that is. Vincent had put on a thicker jacket because it was going to be colder up there than it was in New Zealand. Once he apparated there, his blue eyes feasted upon a sight that never would he have seen in his lifetime. Vincent watched as Alyssa went to see where a lot of others are, and he narrowed his eyes and wanted to say something so much or hex another for calling Alyssa bad names, but it would be sinking to their level. Immaturity really. Vincent went over to the Minister who was here also, and started conversing with her to see what happened. Apparently, two men killed each other, and two others died in the cross fire. France would have to send a few others here to investigate what happens, but this would have been big enough to have arrests if and only if the men, either of them, were still alive. But both were dead. A fate that deserved such brutality however. Vincent glanced over to look at his fallen father-in-law, but his eyes narrowed at the Dark Mark on his forearm. Alyssa's father was a Death Eater? Yet, that also brought up a memory from years ago when Alyssa mouthed it to him. He had forced himself to forget that, but seeing it on the man's arm was another story. Vincent could hear Alyssa's voice and he approached his wife. Vincent put his arm around his wife, and he murmured into her ear, "Some people just cannot be as happy as we are..." But he was really wanting to leave right now. Vincent was not scared, but he did not think that Alyssa should be here still with the dead body. And for once, Vincent felt bad for Theodore who seemed to be just as upset.

All of Danielle's life, it had been her, Asparuh, and Arnost. She was raised up from the very start around these two and it shook her world to have one of those pieces missing. Arnost was the comical humor to her and Asparuh's darker personality. He always had lighter side to his inner darkness and although he bothered Danielle from time to time, she didn't know how her or Asparuh were going to deal with this. Alphonse was taken care of but at a terrible price. Her husband had already left and the bodies were being taken away. Gabrielle stood close to Alphonse's body and Danielle motioned her head for Gabrielle to follow her as the young girl had already more than enough to help everyone else out. As the petite blonde turned her body to head away Isaac dared to open his mouth and tell her that Traitors didn't belong here. Whether he was talking to Alphonse's daughter than just arrived or to her and Gabrielle, Danielle wasn't even willing to allow time for her to find out. On her way out she made sure to aim her small fist right where she knew it would hurt. She would not tolerate that sort of behavior and once he doubled in pain she rolled her eyes herself and Apparated away. She felt the need to check on Asparuh and make sure he had not destroyed anything yet out of anger.
