Delivering roses for Valentines Day was Kauri's favourite school event, hands down, and he had leaped at the chance to deliver candy canes for Christmas too! Basket of candy canes hung on his arm, he had donned a festive hat for making his deliveries, making his way cheerfully over to the Ravenclaw table, to a girl he only vaguely recognised from a few classes. "Meeeeeeeeeeeerry Christmas, Sophie Wilson!" He proclaimed in his best Santa voice, beaming as he placed the candy cane and its attached note in front of the girl.

Sophie Wilson was not in a good mood. Still confused over the stuff with Isaac, she didn't really know what to do with herself. The yule ball was coming up, and she had no idea if she was even still going. She sort of wanted to write more for the paper, and that involved going to events, but she wasn't sure how she was doing to deal with all the lovey-dovey couples. Wit a sigh, she took a bite of cereal right as she heard someone shouting Merry Christmas somewhere nearby. What she didn't expect, was to hear her name following that phrase. After nearly choking on her cereal, she looked up to see a boy approach. She'd never bothered to learn his name, but knew he was in her year as she recognized him from classes. She frowned as he placed a candy cane in front of her. "What is this?" She asked him, frowning at him. "There's no reason to be so loud about delivering me some candy. Some people want to eat their breakfast in peace." Rolling her eyes, she looked at the note. Though she had a feeling she knew who had sent this.

Having done rose deliveries for years, Kauri knew not everyone was necessarily appreciative of their deliveries at first. They usually cheered up once they saw the note though, and Kauri saw no reason for Sophie's sour attitude to dampen his own. "It's a christmas delivery, from Santa Claus! Ho ho ho!" He said cheerfully, putting his hand on an imaginary Santa belly, and idly wishing he had thought to wear a fake beard too for these. Sophie seemed like she wasn't really interested in him sticking around though, so Kauri turned to head off on his next delivery, not bothering to stick around for thanks that seemed like they weren't going to come.
Merry Christmas
From, Elly

Sophie glared at the boy as he refused to stop his annoying act, but at least he left soon after delivering. She read the message and smiled a little. Elly always sent things like this, and it was nice to get something. She would have to thank her friend later.
