Branson had readlly nailed down the type of costumes he liked to wear, which did tend to be the ones that were visibly lower effort but were usually whole costumes. So, this year he was a lion and specifically if asked he was the Gryffindor lion. It was good fun to him and he liked halloween anyway, they had the best snacks, it was the easiest of the celebrations too. As he walked into the hall, he spotted a few people he knew, one of them being Jordie who was dress as someone else, and a few others. He was quite excited with it and immediately began going over to the bobbing for apples section, he would maybe do that first and then go to get some snacks, there was plenty of time for it all.

Louis didn't particularly like celebrations. He was usually the one in the common room by himself, glad to be alone for a little while until he felt like he needed some company. But this year he was feeling like he should really step out there if he wanted to get a little closer to his friends. He also needed a chance to forget about everything for a little while, and so he decided that attending the Halloween Feast would be a good idea. He gathered his costume himself after being inspired by some pictures he had seen in a History of Magic textbook. It wasn't the best costume, but it was something, and he was happy to show it off. He entered the Great Hall, immediately trying to look for people that he knew. He headed over to where the games were, smiling when he noticed Branson dressed in a rather elaborate lion's costume near the apple bobbing. "Hey, nice costume." he said, gesturing to his outfit.

Branson had been about to bob for an apple when Louis approached. He looked at the boy, whom he could admit he didn't know super well, but knew enough. He gave a wide smile, "Thanks Louis, yours is pretty amazing!" he thought the costume was pretty elaborate and looked very professional, like it could've been real armour. "Looks like it could be real," Branson commented a little in awe of it. It was certainly a whole different ball game to his costume. "Are you just a knight or a specific one?"

Louis shrugged at Branson's compliment. His costume was simple compared to some others, but he appreciated the boy's words nonetheless, despite brushing them off a little. He just answered his question. "I don't know, I just found a picture of it not too long ago. I thought it wouldn't be too bad for a costume." Louis explained. "How did you get the idea of a lion?"
