Marisol was thrilled that Gryffindor had won their first game against Hufflepuff, as she had expected, but she did not want them to get complacent, so she had scheduled a practice not long after their first game. They would be playing Slytherin next. Truthfully she couldn't gauge how good the other teams because they all had newer players much like her team, so she wanted to make sure they were all prepared for anything.

The latina walked out of the locker room with the chest of game balls under her arm and her broom in the other. She placed the chest down as she waited for the rest of her team to show up. She placed a hand up against her forehead and squinted up into the sky. It was unusually hot for a spring day, but summer was quickly approaching so she shouldn't be surprised as it gets warmer. Marisol reached up to tie her hair into a low ponytail and adjusted it to make sure none of here werewolf scars could be seen at the nape of neck, tugging the collar of her robes up, just in case.

Getting hit in the last game had been a little unexpected to Lizzie, and though they had won the match she was eager to get more practice. She made sure to be early to the pitch, eager to just get into the air and get started. Broom under her arm and bat in hand she waited for the rest of the team to join them. She had been impressed with Jacob's performance in the match and as well as getting her own practice in she wanted to keep an eye on him, make sure he was remembering what they had done in their practice over the holidays and was continuing to work on his skills. He had had a promising start, and Lizzie wanted to make sure they could work well together against the other teams.

After the game, the fourth-year had come to the conclusion that he had managed to catch the snitch out of sheer luck and that it should have been April celebrating the victory with her Quidditch team insteadof him. Tomas headed over towards Lizzie and Marisol once he walked onto the pitch and smiled at them, putting his broomstick down on the ground. "Nice day for training, isn't it?" he said.

Practicing with the team provided Jacob with a bit of solace that he wasn't getting around anyone else this year, and he'd been feeling it more on this day than any recent ones. So, Jacob was particularly excited to head to practice, and he was only a short distance behind their Seeker in entering the pitch. Jacob was glad to see Lizzie was already there. She was the teammate he was most comfortable around, even if there were a few others closer to him in age. Jacob gave an enthusiastic wave to his teammates before gently placing his broom down on the ground so he could stretch.

After winning the first game Jess was feeling positive about Quidditch despite not playing. She was looking forward to practice and hopefully she would be able to score some goals and make a case for her playing in future. Jess made her way onto the pitch in her quidditch gear and went to stand with her teammates while she waited for practice to start.

Frankie had been ecstatic about their win in the last Quidditch game, but she was glad that their captain's had decided to hold a practice soon after as well. Firstly, she needed to practice scoring a whole heap more, and secondly, she was just pleased for any excuse to get up in the air. Not that she needed one, but it was always a way better experience being up in the air with her teammates, rather than zooming around the pitch on her own. Frankie made her way across the grass and over to where the rest of the team so far was gathered. She greeted them all with a large grin, and then propped her hands on the end of her broom as she waited for practice to start. She hoped it wasn't going to take too long – she was eager to get started.

Syrus had missed the game due to him catching up with lessons. Which wasn't much, though he was please to hear his team had won. April, having made seeker officially, Syrus wonder how much she was holding up. Not great, Syrus could only imagine the Hufflepuff wearing a frown for the rest of the day. Syrus, walked up to the pitch with the broom in hand. He nodded to Marisol and waved over at Jess. "Here to lend a helping hand. Great win Tomas."

[Okay I'm moving this along, please RP your arrival and playing as soon as you join]
Marisol smiled briefly at the players as they arrived and allowed them enough time to stretch and get ready for the practice. Once she felt they were ready, Marisol called them over to gather around her. "First, congrats to us for winning the first game, I knew you could do it!" she said, looking at the newer players in particular who were probably still nervous about their skills. "But we can't slack off, so today we need to work hard. The keepers will take opposite ends of the pitch and everyone else play like it's a real game. Beaters, you'll have to target your own team members, but no one here better take it personal if you get hit," she warned and then grinned. "Okay, let's go!" she said, leaning down to the game chest to unleash the Snitch. The golden ball took off right away, and then she released the bludgers, and took the Quaffle in her hands. Once everyone mounted their broom, Marisol blew the whistle and threw the Quaffle up for another chaser to catch first.
OOCOut of Character:
Depending on Keeper availability, we might only be playing with one, so if that's the case - Chasers make sure you do a half lap before coming back in to score once gaining possession again please!

And remember to always be clicking the appropriate button when you post!

Lizzie returned Jacob's wave, giving the younger boy an encouraging smile. She waited as the rest of the team filed in, antsy to get started. As soon as the whistle blew she kicked off quickly, shooting after one of the bludgers. She swung for it, but the ball was darting too quickly, excited to be free from the case, and Lizzie's bat barely clipped the ball.

Tomas saluted the captain after she was done taking and mounted his Scarlet Streak, kicking off the ground when she blew the whistle. He had seen the Snitch near the southern hoops so flew that way.

Jess ignored Syrus as she instead focused on Marisol and the quaffle in her hands. The boy could wait. Once she threw it into the air Jess was quick to grab it and began to make her way to the hoop.

Jacob listened to Marisol speak and when she was done picked up his broom and bat. Getting himself into the air, Jacob didn't have to search long to find a bludger. Taking a swing, he heard the satisfying thunk as he connected and sent it flying right into the girl with the quaffle. He was still learning people's names, but he mouthed a sorry even though he wasn't sure she saw. Targeting his own teammates was still a bit weird for him.

Lizzie slowed down to watch Jacob's swing, giving him an encouraging clap as he succeeded. "That's it!" She called out, pleased to see he had clearly been working hard since their practice together. Proud of her co-beater Lizzie shot after the other bludger and swung at it, more lightly than she would during a regular game, but it wiffed harmlessly between her teammates.

Leaning forwards on his broomstick, Tomas zigzagged to catch up on the Snitch. It was fast but the Gryffindor was determined to catch the golden ball at least once today.

Frankie listened to the captain begin the practice with a pleased grin on her face. It was still good to remember that they'd won their first game, but she agreed with the older girl that they needed to keep on top of their game. She payed special attention to the instructions that pertained to her position, and then kicked off into the air with the rest of the team. Although Frankie wasn't the chaser that Marisol passed the ball to, she was happy enough to speed along behind the other girl – just in case she might decide she wanted to pass it. It never hurt to think on the positive side.

Marcos was glad to get a practice in. He liked playing in the game, but he had spent a while on the bench and was keen to get better in general. So when the opportunity arose he got to the pitch and was able to actually get a practice in. Marcos flew up to one of the hoops and waited as someone flew towards him with a quaffle.

He was closing in on the Snitch and could hear the sound of its wings beating in the air. Closing his hand around the tiny ball, Tomas held up his hand. ''I caught it, Marisol,'' the Gryffindor exclaimed happily.

Jess has done a lap of the pitch with the quaffle in hand before she made her way to the hoops. As she was about to throw the quaffle she was distracted by excited yelling from the seeker. The quaffle meekly left her hand and easily missed the hoop. "Dammit," Jess muttered.

Jacob beamed as he heard Lizzie and then he got back to looking for bludgers. Thankfully the chaser who he'd hit hadn't even seemed to notice she'd been hit. As he flew around, Jacob hears the Seeker declare he'd caught the snitch. They'd only just started, so Jacob knew he must be good. He gave a small cheer before hitting a bludger away from him. There was no one near him to target, but he was still glad he hadn't missed it.

Frankie thought it was unfortunate that the older chaser – it really was time to introduce herself to her, so she could call the girl by her name – missed her shot, but she eagerly dove forwards to catch the Quaffle as it was thrown back out and scoop it under her arm. Frankie then turned around and soared off to do her half-lap, glad to get her own practice underway.

Letting go of the practice Snitch after he had caught it, Tomas waited a couple of minutes before chasing it again.

Marisol was glad to be up in the air and have practice get underway. She was frustrated as usual and playing Quidditch helped let her aggression out in a healthier way. The practice hadn't been going on for long when Tomas suddenly caught the Snitch and Marisol couldn't help but laugh lightly. "That's awesome kid," she said to him with an incredulous smile. She had been worried for their team after James was gone but it seemed there was no need to worry after all. Afterward they let the Snitch go again to resume practice and Marisol turned her attention back to the rest of the players, trailing after Frankie in case she needed to pass or looking for an opportunity to steal.

After Frankie had reached the middle of the pitch and turned around, she swooped up toward the hoops again and tried to think where best to aim the Quaffle so it would get past the keeper. Unfortunately, she guessed wrong – or Marcos had guessed right – and she failed to score. Frankie was a bit put out, but she tried to shrug it off and get back into a positive frame of mind. After scoring that goal last year, she thought she'd be better at this than recent attempts were proving her to be.

Lizzie was pleased and impressed that Tomas managed to catch the snitch so quickly. That was a good sign. She paused where she was, waiting to see whether they'd be continuing on with the practice before making any more moves. Once it was confirmed that they would keep going she pressed close to her broom again, bat in hand, and shot after one of the bludgers, giving it a rough whack, though it flew wide of any of her teammates.

Jacob took a whack at a bludger, trying to send it towards the Seeker. He couldn't believe how difficult he was finding it to hit his own teammates though. He didn't want them mad at him. He was the youngest on the team and had a long way to go playing with these people, he hoped. The bludger was soaring towards Tomas but ended up hitting another teammate instead. Jacob cringed as it connected and then frowned. It hadn't been who he was targeting and he knew that was important.
