Though he was hot on the younger seeker's tail, Rāwhiti had to bite back a groan of disappointment as he watched Teddy seize the snitch again. "Great work!" He called out, hoping his disappointment in himself wouldn't show in his voice, but mostly he just wanted to hide away and cry for a bit.
Teddy smiled at the praise and wondered if the captain was bothered by Teddy catching the snitch twice before he'd even caught it once. He decided that now was not the time to boast about it and set off looking for the snitch again.
Milo frowned as Rāwhiti tried to tell him off, though it quickly turned into a cackle as Teddy nabbed the snitch again. “Yeah maybe we should all focus on our game like Teddy does,” he said cheekily, turning just in time to follow it up with the perfect bludger shot right into @Santiago Torres. “You owe me a galleon!” He added smugly.
Santiago grunted as Milo managed to land a hit in him. “I didn’t agree to anything.” He scoffed. “Maybe do that in a game and then we can talk.” He added with a smirk. “Oh wait you’ll be on the bench.”
As if the pain of failing so publicly in his job wasn't enough, of course bloody MILO had to comment on it. It was a relief that he wasn't the only one the younger boy was harrassing, so he had plenty of excuse to turn back towards him. "MILO!" He yelled. "MOUTH CLOSED, FOCUS ON YOUR OWN GAME. LAST WARNING."
Teddy fought to suppress a grin observing Milo the wind up and the reaction he was getting. Santiago raised a point though, if this was a game, Milo would be benched and so would Teddy too, and Gryffindor would have not yet caught the snitch. He searched for the snitch, hoping to make his third catch of practice.
Sen didn't pay a whole lot of attention to whatever was going on with the rest of the team during practice and from the yelling that was going on around her perhaps it was good that she didn't. Instead, she focussed her attention on her throw and happily watched the quaffle sail through a hoop.
Milo opened his mouth to snipe back but was cut off by Raawhiti, closing it with a snap and huffing sourly. "Who pissed in his weet-bix," he muttered, fussing with his bat. If his next hit was aimed near their captain, who'd know since it missed.
Evie was keen for a good practice session. But as she headed up into the skies, she was hit by a bludger. She held her side as she attempted to block the quaffle coming her way. She sighed when she missed it and threw it back out.
Milo continued circling the pitch, adding a few more annoyed mutters about "team players", looking for both bludgers and loophole to keep talking that wouldn't get him kicked off the pitch.
Since Milo was going to 'focus on his own game', he decided to focus extra hard on sending a bludger Rāwhiti's way. Which would work great if everyone would just stay still for two seconds. Instead, the bludger shot right where their captain had been and continued on its merry way into @Senna Overby instead.
Milo wasn't sure if you could skulk while on a broom but he put in his level best, flitting about the side of the pitch, looking for a good angle to hit Raawhiti or Santiago.
It was there, the snitch! Teddy made quick chase, his fingers stretching out eagerly. At the perfect moment he grasped the snitch firmly within his grip. "Got it!" He had made his third catch of training.
