Gryffindor Quidditch Practice S1/Y48

"You got this Aroha!" Surely, she was one of the seekers after all. But she kept her eyes on her hoops.

Aroha swore she saw something gold, but on closer inspection it wasn't.

Rose continued to guard her hoops.

Practice was going well. Still no snitch.

Ivy followed the other girls up the pitch and watched as teddy managed to save the ball. "nice teddy" she called before she flew forward and started to make her way back down towards the south hoops.

Fraser followed in behind Ivy after Teddy threw the ball into play.

Rose continued to guard the hoops. She wished her siblings were here.

Ivy neared the hoops. she looked around reassured that fraser was close behind her. She looked at the hoop and aimed at the free hoop. but the new keeper was on the ball literally. she once again didn't manage to score. She felt disappointed. she didnt get it in. cursed then smiled at the keeper. "good job Rose." she called before moving her broom back and making her way back up the pitch trying to hussle the other teams chasers.

Milo was curious to see what kind of team Teddy was going to run this year with Fraser, but mostly he was excited to finally, finally, be starting seeker. Sure, he'd already proved himself on the pitch by winning his first game last year, but it was different to be practicing when he knew he was actually going to be playing the rest of them this year. He tried not to let the visions of future games distract him from actually finding the snitch today though, it wouldn't be a good look if Aroha beat him to the first catch of practice.

Miro tried not to feel too guilty about accidentally hitting a bludger towards Teddy. He instead tried to focus on the practice and finding a new bludger to hit, soon spotting one nearby and speeding to hit it. He reached to hit the bludger with his bat but felt his jaw drop slightly when he realized this one also went off course and flew to hit his beater buddy Santiago.

@Santiago Torres

Milo couldn't help but let out a hoot when Miro hit Santiago. Oh how the turn tables.

Teddy hovered in front of the hoops watching his team. He readied himself when the quaffle started making it's way back up his way.

Thanks Ivy, good shot!” she tossed the quaffle back into play.

Aroha couldn't find the snitch. And she was trying. But she wasn't letting it get to her, enjoying the way it felt to fly through the air.

Miro tried to find another bludger to hit and try and redeem himself and actually hit something towards the right target. As he flew around the pitch he couldn't see any bludgers and frowned to himself.

Milo was keeping a close eye on Aroha, trying to get a feel for her as a seeker. It was hard to divide his attention between her, the beaters, and look for the snitch, but he supposed that was what they were practicing for and all.

Aroha could feel eyes on her - but she was more focussed on finding the snitch. Still, she spared a glance around to the other players, noticing Milo's attention. Was he scoping her out to try find the snitch first? He'd be disappointed, Aroha decided. She poked out her tongue at him and continued her search, determined to get there first.

Milo did a doubletake when he caught Aroha sticking out her tongue at him. Oh it was on now, he thought with a burst of excitement. Rāwhiti had always been too distracted or miserable to really be good competition and Milo was itching for a chance to show of, tucking low to his broom to put on a burst of speed.

Santiago swore under his breath as a bludger slammed into his side. He shot Miro a sharp glare but kept going. Finally he hit a bludger again but his aim was off and hit one of their chasers instead. @Ivy Cullen

Aroha felt a new rush of excitement, yet the snitch eluded her as she flew around the pitch.

Rose watched as Milo and Aroha seemed to get into some kind of a game. "You got this Aroha!" Solidarity with girls. Milo might have been the starter, but Aroha was the alt. like her, solidarity of the alternates!

"Thanks, Rose! You got this too!" Aroha called out, momentarily distracted but quickly getting back to searching for the snitch, with no present success.

Santiago hoped his luck was finally turning but he swung his bat again, and missed.

Rose had been on a broom from the age of 18 months old, and she’d been playing quidditch since she was three or four years old. In some cases, she’d been playing longer than most of the rest of the team. She was a good keeper.

When Rose played the quaffle back into play Veronica grabbed it and made her way towards Teddy’s hoops.
