Now that he had taken over as co-captain, Teddy wanted Gryffindor to win this year more than ever. It had been a long time since Gryffindor had won the championship, certainly never in Teddy's time at Hogwarts. He gathered the team for their final training before their match against Slytherin, keeping the introduction short so they could get started. "Good morning everyone. Today, we’re running a practice game to prep for the match against Slytherin. Chasers, you’ll split into two teams with Fraser and Ivy scoring the south hoops, while Alicia and Veronica the north. Rose you defend the south hoops, I'll defend the north. Milo and Aroha get out there and catch that snitch. And beaters," he said, looking at Santiago and Miro, "Try to stop them." Teddy gave everyone time to get into position before releasing all the balls and heading to the north hoops himself.

OOCOut of Character:
No arrivals, just get right in!

Veronica barely looked at Teddy once practice started, she hopped on her broom and grabbed the quaffle once it was up in the air and headed towards the south hoops. Once she was close enough she threw the quaffle at the hoops and cheered when she scored. It was ridiculous that she was still an alternate.

Ivy was excited for quidditch she was looking forward to this year playing on the team. she was glad she was playing with Fraser today. She kne Veronica didn't like her at all. and to be honest she was not a fan of the older girl either. though that was mostly due to how rude she was to her. as if in demo Veronica took to the sky as soon as the whistle was blown and raced straight to the hoops. she wasn't even sure if the keepers had gotten into position.
Ivy Flew forward as teddy threw the quaffle into play and started flying back down the pitch.

Team 1 (shooting south, defending north)
Keeper: Teddy
Chasers: Fraser and Ivy

Team 2 (shooting north, defending south)
Keeper: Rose
Chasers: Alicia and Veronica

Team Gryffindor
Seekers: Milo and Aroha
Beaters: Santiago and Miro

Teddy was annoyed to see Veronica score so early but acted unbothered about it as he continued to defend his hoops.

Fraser followed Ivy after she caught the ball, happy to support her.

Rose didn’t really mind that she was only an alternate, she was just proud to be there for her team if they needed her: So she jumped on her broom and started defending the south hoops, she kept her eyes on Fraser and Ivy specifically, trying to make sure they didn’t get a quaffle past her.

Aroha was beyond stoked to finally make the team. Sure, she was an alternate, but she wasn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth. Finally she could prove her value to the team. After listening to Teddy, she took to the air and started to look for a snitch. She wasn't initially successful, but it didn't put her off still trying.

Ivy made her way up the pitch. And could see the new keeper in front of her. She aimed for one of the open hoops, threw and didn’t score. She turned around ready to defend.

Miro arrived to practice rearing to fly and try to hone his skills before Gryffindor's first quidditch game of the year. As soon as he was allowed he wasted no time flying into the air with his beater bat in hand, soaring around the pitch for a moment in search of a bludger to hit. It didn't take him long to spot a bludger and speed up to try and hit it, frowning to himself when he managed to miss. Miro tried not to let it bother him as he flew around in search of another bludger.

Aroha thought she saw some gold out of the corner of her eye, but it ended up being nothing.

Teddy watched the training kick off, and readied himself as he expected the quaffle to make it's way back up to him.

Aroha looked for the snitch but couldn't find it. She decided to check out the other side of the pitch.

When Ivy missed her shot and Rose threw the quaffle back into play, Veronica grabbed it and began making her way back up the pitch.

Rose squared off, flicking the Quaffle back into play when Ivy managed to miss (because Rose was a really good keeper actually) and watched it head towards Teddy. Maybe mum was proud.

Veronica got closer to the hoops and took a shot at goal but she missed and it was saved by Teddy. She rolled her eyes and flew back into a defensive position.

Aroha continued her search, getting close to one end of the pitch.

Santiago was looking forward to the quidditch season and was tentatively optimistic about their chances. Not that he'd say that to anyone. But for today his instructions were clear and he took to the air and searched for a bludger to hit.

Rose kept moving between the hoops, keeping a watchful eye on the quaffle. She was determined neither of her two chaser would score.

Santiago found a bludger but his aim was off and it went wide, hitting nothing but air.

Rose continued to defend her hoops.

Santiago saw another bludger and swung, missing again. He was rusty it seemed.

The snitch was being very elusive, as far as Aroha was concerned, but she was keeping her eyes open.

Rose continued to defend the hoops.

Teddy tried not to get too distracted by Veronica, he had co-captain responsibilities to focus on after all. He caught the quaffle before it managed to reach the hoops and threw it back out to play, watching the other chasers to see what they would do.

Aroha dove down to see if the snitch was hiding closer to the ground, but nope, she couldn't spot it.
