Felix was practically sauntering around the Great Hall in his boots, grinning at the other students from underneath his cowboy hat. He usually only added a small artistic flair to his outfits every year and this was no different, but he felt confident in his costume today. He didn't intend to be unrecognisable nor scary, so much as he just enjoyed wearing outfits he wouldn't have on a daily basis. Perhaps that was why his cousin enjoyed acting so much.

The prefect tilted his head up, flicking the rim of his hat off his forehead as he approached the apple bobbing station and watched as some of the other kids had, with varying levels of success, attempted to chase their apples around the barrels. "It's a shame they're not covered in toffee," it probably would have been easier for anyone to sink their teeth into an apple if it was coated in something sticky.

Mania had seen the onesie in a store last break and she couldn't help but get it. It was perfect for the Halloween and she even had gotten the matching slippers that she did wear on a daily basis if she was being honest. Mania had never been one to not go all silly on Halloween, in her first year she'd gone all in and dressed up as Professor Cade's door for Merlin's sake. While her costumes had definitely muted down along the years she still enjoyed expressing herself through them and this year was no different.

She walked around the great hall trying to locate a certain prefect. She was dressed up as a cute monster so what was better than sneak up on her friends and scare them? Weaving her way through a crowd of people the fourth year narrowed her eyes a little, trying to readjust the contacts in her eyes that felt like they were a little out of place but also trying to spot Felix. A huge grin spread across her face as she spotted the boy near the apple bobbing stations and she began sneaking her way over there. The closer she got the more of his costume she noticed, he had a cowboy hat. Merlin where'd he gotten that? When she was close enough Nia charged at the older Gryffindor and as she reached him she grabbed him by the arm. "Boo!" She said all the while giggling to herself.

Felix wasn't convinced he was hungry enough to try grabbing one of the apples himself, but it was still amusing to watch the other students try. Some were getting fully involved, dipping their whole head in the barrel as though their life depending on getting their teeth around the stalks. There were so many people in the room that Felix wasn't aware of the girl creeping up behind him. It was only when he felt her grab his arm that he jumped, startled and tried to take a step away, his instinct in believing someone had accidentally run into him. It probably came from Quidditch too, the idea that collisions were probably best avoided.

"Oh my god, Nia, your eyes," Felix grinned as he recognised the brunette, dressed head to toe as a blue furry monster. "Where did you even get that?" he asked, sliding his arm out of her grasp and draping it over her shoulders instead. She really was the perfect height for that. He couldn't look away from the blue speckles in her eyes. They usually shone brightly but today it was like she quite literally had magic behind them.

Mania's grin widened when Felix actually jumped. She felt triumph at her successful scare and even more so when Fifi draped an arm around her shoulders. The contacts in her eyes felt different to the ones she usually wore, maybe it was the fact that they had colour on them to trick someone into thinking she had blue eyes and not just for her to see better.

"Well the onesie I saw at a shop in the summer in the states and the contacts also a shop, forgot the name of it though." Nia frowned a little trying to remember the name. "You like it? It's not quite the door from my first year but I thought it was quite amazing." Mania stated proudly, it was soft and cute. "Talking about amazing, where'd you get that hat? It looks good on you." The third year turned her head to look at Felix again. "You should wear it more often."

"Yeah, it's cute." Felix grinned, still mesmerised by the blue in her eyes. He couldn't help but wonder just how messy things would get if Nia were to try her hand at apple bobbing mind. He peered around the rest of the room, debating whether there was something else they could do together instead. "Oh yeah?" Felix asked, glancing back at the Gryffindor, "Found it at the beach last year, figured it could come in handy for something so I brought it to school," it certainly was an improvement on last years foil alien. "I'd make a great cowboy," if he could balance on a broomstick in the air, then riding a horse would be no problem. Felix landed on a Dementor piñata, figuring he could imagine someone else's head if he were to hit it with a bat. "Wanna go?"
