As the school year had trailed off, Kylie was excited to see the changed her parents had made to their new home in her absence. She had known that things were bound to be different, some to her liking and others not so much in particular to her bedroom. This was why her plans with her best friend had to be orchestrated carefully enough so she could alter anything to match her ideals. To her parent's displeasure Kylie didn't like fuzzy stuffed animals as much as they seemed to think she might. Once it was to her liking she was happy to have Pia over as planned, knowing that for the most part the guest room would be unused the entirety of her visit at her home because they would probably be watching their fair share of movies and do whatever they might feel like doing. She was eager to do what they will and part of it had been talking about their classmates, ones more than others and even doing one another's makeup and generally just having fun to a point where time had gone by quite quickly.

Showing Pia around her new home of Picton had been interesting as she only knew it from the letters she had with both of her parents both prior to and after the move to New Zealand from her home of Chetumal. Luckily, though, they had both wanted to be pretty vegetative so Kylie was preparing food for the both of them in a relaxed pair of jeans, making it truly unlike most outfits her friends had seen her in. The cool winter air was getting to her hot blooded nature and all she really wanted to do was get under a big blanket and nibble on some food with her friend so with this in mind she quickly rushed over to the living room with big plate of chicken nuggets and fries for the both of them to share with the appropriate sauces on the side. She couldn't help but steal a few as she walked into the room and saw Pia. Being a little less lady-like than recommended, Kylie said while finishing her bite, "What did you pick?" The sixteen year old was quite eager to see what her friend had decided to watch out of the selection she had, sadly it wasn't the largest set she'd ever seen but for someone who was rarely around muggles much anymore it was fine. The latina took a seat on the large white couch and crossed her legs, sure to get comfortable while her friend explained her choice so they could just begin their day of doing absolutely nothing. She had a thought to ask her parents to get them more junk food even if that would set Kylie back on her workout plan over the winter holiday. If she was going to be visiting with a few family members in America shortly thereafter she needed to be bikini ready. She couldn't be this covered up everywhere, after all.

Pia was surprised by the amount her friendship with Kylie changed since they transferred from Castelobruxo. They had moved from being acquaintances, classmates who shared polite 'hellos' and 'how are you's', and kept a mutually polite facade where they knew little about each other, to blossoming into best friends in ways that Pia never would have imagined. They shared their innermost secrets as well as embarrassing thoughts, gave each other honest opinions on their appearances and trusted each other with makeovers, though most importantly Pia trusted Kylie with her sexuality which was more than she could say for her ex-best friend at Castelobruxo. No, Kylie was much more accepting and kind than Pia's previous best friend was and it showed by the other Ravenclaw happily opening her home to Pia for a sleepover during the holidays. It gave Pia a sense of belonging and feelings of sisterly love towards Kylie that she never thought she would feel for anyone but her real sister and it furthermore made her excited for the sleepover. She could hardly wait until she walked into her best friend's home and spent time doing both everything and nothing without the stress of school work and other teenage problems looming over them. They could be lazy and vegetate for days which was all Pia had wanted with her OWL exams over and done with.

That was where Pia currently found herself. With plans to vegetate with her best friend by shovelling chicken nuggets and fries into her mouth while they watched a muggle movie and cuddled inside a messy pile of blankets. And that was why the Chilean currently stood in her laziest clothes, choosing a movie from the rack after hobbling across Kylie's living room with a blanket wrapped around her shoulders. She adjusted her glasses as she pulled each movie from the rack and observed the front and back covers, reading the plot synopsis of each one before ultimately reaching a divide between a film she recognized as Disney from her Muggle studies classes and a film that looked like a thriller, both much more adult and interesting than the Disney film she also held. Though she wanted to watch both and was sure she could convince Kylie to watch both with her in their bout of laziness, Pia was not sure what film she wanted to watch first. She was relieved when Kylie re-entered the room and the decision was taken from her shoulders. "I can't pick between these two." She turned to her friend, showing both the cases as she walked towards the sofa and sat on it. "Which one first?" She slid both movies along the sofa towards Kylie and picked a nugget from the plate of food as she waited for the decision to be made. At this point Pia did not mind which movie they watched first but it seemed more logical to choose the scarier option first and later watch the children's movie to cleanse their minds if the first movie disturbed them enough.

Swallowing the crunchy chicken nugget Kylie had taken from the plate she smiled, amused at the range in her best friend's choices. She was so happy to have such a growth in her friendship with Pia over the last year and was most grateful to Hogwarts New Zealand for giving her this wonderfully colourful person to now have cuddles with while they watched movies. "We should watch both?" she suggested with a smile, wondering what had prompted Pia to pick a scary movie and a Disney one. The young witch had seen both of these movies, mostly after prompting by her muggle friends who insisted they were classics but had quickly grown to love the horror movie genre. This was due to the fact that it brought people closer together, especially the Mexican girl with a number of her ex-boyfriends. Now single, she had no qualms about cuddling with her best friend during the scary parts instead. In fact, it was preferred. She was glad when she found that her friend was on the same page as her too. The witch suggested, "This one," she pointed and got up, presuming this was alright with the girl and grabbed it from the table. Briefly looking back for confirmation of the matter before she put it in the DVD player. She had a feeling that to ease their nerves they would need to watch a Disney movie afterwards anyway. Plus then maybe they could get junk food which would be even better!

With an excited smile to see how Pia reacted to the movie, especially since she was decidedly more of a badass and had won scariest Halloween costume, Kylie walked over to her television set and put in the movie like she'd been taught by her muggle friends when she was little. Once it was in she grabbed the remote and asked, "Ready?" Kylie waited to press play while she took another chicken nugget and munched on that happily. She hoped that there would be no interruptions throughout this as it would severely interrupt the suspense and fear that might ensue because of it so if there was anything they would need to do, she hoped it would be before the movie started.

Pia was delighted that she and Kylie were on the same page with her movie choices. She popped the chicken nugget she was holding into her mouth and dusted her manicured hands together before nodding, agreeing that watching the horror movie first was indeed the better idea. They could scare themselves, cuddle underneath an already cuddly sea of blankets and then cuddle for comfort as they watched the childrens movie to attempt to feel normal again. Though Alfred Hitchcock's Pyscho was not technically a horror film according to it's case and was instead considered to be a thriller, Pia had learned of it in Muggle studies and knew enough about the film to assume the contents would terrify her. Regardless of the genre, Pia was ready for the experience so she cuddled into the blanket around her shoulders and nodded as Kylie popped the DVD into the player and pressed the play button.

The movie itself was thrilling and equally as terrifying and midway through watching the film Pia felt her shoulders shiver as her head instinctively move to Kylie's shoulder. Her arms later wrapped around the other girl as she closed her eyes and refused to watch any more of the film because the creepy factors of it overwhelmed her. Men were always creepy, especially the quiet ones and Norman Bates fit the creepy bill to the tiniest detail. He was definitely a psychopath and too antisocial to be a sociopath and by the time the end credits rolled along the screen Pia fully understood the film's title. She shivered again and pulled the blanket closer to her when the movie returned to the menu and was glad that she wouldn't need to watch that movie ever again. She looked up at Kylie and smiled sheepishly. "I want to watch the other one now." She said, admitting that Psycho made her more scared than she ever intended to be. Pia was clearly more used to watching children's films and now clearly wanted her taste in movies to stay that way because not once had Pia felt so uncomfortable with a Disney villain. They sure were scary in their own comical way but it was nothing compared to Norman Bates who could have easily been someone she could run into on any given day. In a way he reminded her of a few of the students at her school and even one of her fellow Ravenclaws but she wasn't about to admit it to her friend for fear of scaring the two of them further out of their skins. "I need me some Dalmatians after that."

While watching Psycho, Kylie smiled sympathetically at her friend who seemed to be more shaken than she was and affectionately pet her hair to sooth her of the fears from it despite also being quite disturbed by it herself. Less so as she had seen it prior to this but there was no way she was comfortable with Norman Bates who so reminded her of a few fellow classmates, one in particular who she had the misfortune of meeting while she had been trying to keep to herself. How some men, even ones who weren’t even psychos, could miss such strong social cues would never cease to amaze and disturb the Mexican girl. Part way through the film Kylie started to hide her gaze from the television by covering her face with her free hand although there were key moments when she looked through her fingers to see the screen. As good of a film as Psycho was she was a little relieved when it was over and sighed shakily. It was over. Fluffing Pia’s hair up playfully Kylie was all too glad to appease the Chilean’s wishes for an easier film to digest. Pealing herself away from her best friend and the blankets, Kylie grabbed the Disney movie and exchanged discs but before she had a chance to press play there was a knock on her door. Curious as to why someone would show up unannounced or even who it might be, Kylie said, “Give me a second.”

Kylie fixed her hair while walking to the door and opened it but was no less confused when it was open as she didn’t know who was standing before her. Smiling flirtatiously because Kylie simply could not keep herself from doing so with a person so attractive she said in English, “Hello.” She wished she was dressed a little nicer now but it was no matter because the teenager had all of the self-confidence in the world. Sometimes it was a little too much but the young witch never cared as much as other people. How was it her fault that certain people were already in relationships when she flirted with them, it wasn’t as if she was committed to any one person despite some people insisting that the girl in her living room must be her girlfriend. As much as Kylie loved Pia, there was simply no way as their friendship was perfectly so. “Can I help you, papi?” The girl knew that some might think calling this person papi meant something odd but to Kylie it was a general term of affection and so she had no qualms about using it for any person she so wished.

Ignacio knew his younger sister more than anyone and that meant he was well aware of her tendencies to lose track of time. Pia was generally an organized girl, both reliable and able to keep to a schedule without any difficulties but when she spent time with her friends it all seemed to fly out the window, and that day was no exception. Ignacio understood that time can fly when you're having fun but the fact of the matter remained the same. Pia was due to arrive home from her three day sleepover with all her belongings and in time for dinner with her family that evening. He had given his sister some grace, waited an hour or so longer than he should have before arriving to the unfamiliar town of Picton and the equally unfamiliar address that belonged to her friend. But an hour was the longest he was able to wait so he knocked on the door of the home he was standing in front of and stood quietly until somebody answered.

The brunette girl that answered the door could have only been Pia's friend because she seemed too young to be a parent or even an older sister. He could admit she was attractive in her own right and confident but he was also well aware she was Pia's age so he buried the fact he found her attractive as far back in his mind as it could go and smiled politely at her. "You must be Kylie." He cleared his throat, ignoring the way she was speaking to him so he could focus on the task that had brought him to her doorstep. "I'm here to pick up Pia. Has she forgotten that she's supposed to be leaving today?" His words ended with a chuckle as he kept his hands busy by playing with the set of keys he was holding. Sooner or later Pia was going to notice the time and realize she would be late to dinner if she didn't get her act together. Until then all Ignacio could do was wait until she walked from the other side of the front door and bid her friend adieu.

As the stranger commented on who she must be the girl teased with a clear smirk, "I can be whoever you want me to be," not realizing who this was because, to Kylie, this man and her best friend seemed like night and day from first glance. When he explained who he was the Ravenclaw's face burned and she felt more embarrassed than she might have otherwise. Trying to seem as if she wasn't entirely a fool she moved out of the doorway for Pia's brother to come into her home while she tried to find her words to ensure he wouldn't share what she'd just said with Pia. She didn't have any siblings but she could imagine it would be very uncomfortable to have your best friend flirting with your brother. "We did forget. I'm sorry," she said knowing fully that he deserved that apology, for not only their absentmindedness but also for her earlier comment which she hoped now would be forgotten. Smiling sweetly at him with her face still flush she closed the door behind the unfamiliar Morales and then walked past him, leading him into her home further where Pia was. "Pia, your brother is here," Kylie said, wishing desperately now that Archie would be here too so she could exchange glances with him about the attractive older man. The teenager knew it was just a pipe dream but that didn't keep her from looking over at him and blushing once more. Maybe it was wrong too but who was going to fault a teenage girl for having eyes for someone with such a chiseled jaw and clearly muscular frame? Hopefully not Pia if she managed to see the way Kylie was looking at Ignacio.

Ignacio's brow furrowed as Kylie said she could be whoever he wanted her to be and he felt like he wanted to be any where else but on the girl's doorstep. She was simply too young and those words too inappropriate both because of their obvious age difference and the fact she was Pia's friend. It was all a big red flag, a huge, capitalized 'no' in his mind and he felt his posture stiffen, then later relax when Kylie evidently realized who Ignacio was and switched from English to Spanish. Ignacio did the same, saying "It's okay" as he stepped into Kylie's home. Ignacio did not exactly want to enter the girl's house because of her actions but it was clearly necessary for Pia to realize the time because immediately after Ignacio stepped foot into the living room, the red haired girl stood up, frantically folding the blanket she was previously curled up in and walking around the house to gather her belongings. Ignacio continued to play with the keys in his hands as Pia moved around, intentionally ignoring Kylie to avoid more awkwardness as he stood in the spot. Eventually Pia was done and approached him with her bag slung over her shoulder. Ignacio then moved from where he was standing, walking closer to the doorway as Pia said goodbye to her friend with a hug and hurried words. When Pia caught up with him he wrapped an arm around her shoulders affectionately and nodded a simple acknowledgement to Kylie before he stepped back outside and apparated the two of them away.
