The second semester did not actually drastically change the young life of the Slytherin boy. The lessons actually made him relax even more since he knew that there was a life going on around him and avoiding it was his only escape. Cutting classes was still in his liking but for today, the first year Slytherin boys had an off in their schedule. He did not need a break though but he strongly believed that all the hectic things that were going around him tried bringing him pressure and it was a lot better to avoid those things. There was no need to skip a class for a cloudy Autumn morning. The day was quiet in the common room and this greatly irritated Benjamin Chase and it was seeing him in this state was not a good plan for other people who would love to socialize with the first year. Benjamin passed the classroom where the Ravenclaw Head of House worked and smirked at the tortured students that were seated in their desks. They looked ultimately bored and out of their mind. There was only a single time where Benjamin skipped the subject of Professor Spencer and for that, he had a fairly good reason. His insides were squirmy that time and that was surely a good excuse to avoid his awaited detention if ever Professor Spencer would declare so.

The Courtyard was not particularly the dark haired boy's favorite place to lounge but he gradually gave in to the tempting couches and the soft blazing fire that had orange sparks erupt occasionally. He sighed in contentment and satisfaction as he clumsily dropped his body to the couch that matched his house's colors - dark green and some silver. Across the couch of his choice was colored scarlet with some gold which he immediately knew was Gryffindor and to his sides were the colored couches of Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. Benjamin smirked with his excellent decision and lolled his head to the side to stare at nothingness. Benjamin was a person of laziness and smugness which he had at all times except when his own parents were there to watch him. The wealthy boy took in breaths of cool air and allowed the silence to engulf him in a peaceful slumber as he closed his eyes. His eyes were relaxed since no other human being was there and only him was there to be found. His ears though remained alert to what ever noise that can suddenly echo around the room.

Andrea inhaled the fresh air that was surrounding her as she walked around the Great Lawn. There wasn't anything remotely interesting to inside the castle so Andrea thought maybe she could find any of her friends outside. Unfortunately, there was no sign of anything interesting whatsoever outside the castle. No one was even there for Pete's sake, only Andrea. Andrea sighed her voice suddenly clogged with boredom. It was quite cold that day since it was autumn and the leaves were starting to become orange. In fact, almost all the leaves in the lawn were orange, only a few stayed green. Andrea sighed at the thought of it. How she missed playing with the leaves with her brother. Andrea shivered when a colder wind passed by her. Since she was wearing a thin top, she wasn't quite immune to cold weather even if she is a cub. Andrea decided to come inside the castle. She decided to go to the Courtyard to be precise. It was more beautiful in there and maybe she could find anyone to talk to and hopefully find something interesting to do like play wizard chess or doodle something pretty.

Andrea walked on the lawn and made her way to the Courtyard. She walked at the Ground Floor longer than she used to in hopes to find someone she knew. Unfortunately again, she knew no one so she started on walking once more. When Andrea saw the courtyard, she quickly walked over there and entered it. No one was around again except for a familiar-looking boy. Andrea went in and looked at the boy suspiciously. He really did look very familiar. In fact, He looked a lot like Andrea’s friend, Napoleon Hawke. Although, she can’t really be sure with that since there could be a slight possibility that it’s just another random boy who just happened to have the looks that resemble her friend’s. Andrea walked in more closely towards the boy. And by doing just that she found out he’s not Napoleon after all. He looks more of a Slytherin boy if you asked Andrea but maybe it was just a coincidence. Andrea walked even more closely towards him. “Mind if I join you?” She asked, twisting her new red NY cap.

Indeed, the loving peacefulness that the room provided the Slytherin boy was actually making him feel even more sleepy and lazier than ever. Benjamin was on full alert though, since he definitely did not want anyone to actually catch him sleeping in a peaceful manner. Only the Slytherin dormitories were allowed to see him in his pajamas that were even coloured white with a small symbol of a serpent on the side of his right shoulder that was beautifully sewn on the soft fabric. Benjamin snorted quietly as he remembered and recalled the look of it before sighing quietly again. Damn, the muffled voices of outside's company was making him want to smirk with victory. He quietly and successfully found a good place for him to relax in without any stupid company, offering to be with him. They were nuisances for the twelve year old boy and yet, he dealt with them calmly. His personality though did not match them because of the smug expressions that he always held on his young sly features. The peaceful silence stopped though when he heard the loud footsteps of a fellow student of his. As his eyes were still closed, he scowled inside his head, with the similar expression that he always had whenever a person approached him. He quickly changed his expression before that person could even register his thoughts and looked up, his sea green eyes flashing alertly and dangerously.

"The space is huge and it can definitely hold more than a single person." Even though it was obvious, Benjamin said it to joke around for a while. It was a better thing to charm himself to this person first, before even knowing about their background. It was ultimately true for the couches that surrounded a single table in between had a space that four people can fit in. He was seated across the scarlet coloured couch, with his own body hogging the space on the darkgreen couch. It symbolized Slytherin but the boy payed no attention to the rest. He only loved looking at the familiar color of his house, before even paying attention to the girl once more. He simply hoped that she would drop herself on the scarlet coloured couch and not beside him. The space around him was hogged by him and he wanted it for his own. Benjamin nodded softly as he watched his blonde companion. "Everything's uninteresting again, I bet." He looked at her with no expression at all while studying the girl casually. It was very usual for him to start being civil at first and then his inner bad self would eventually get out and release itself to the whole world. Benjamin cocked his head to the side, his expression bored, as he waited for her response and heard laughs going on, outside the Courtyard.

Tiredness filled the air as Andrea stood there waiting for the boy's reply as she take in the fresh air that was entering the room. Even though the breeze wasn't as cool as it is when it's winter, the wind still made Andrea shiver a bit. It was Autumn and the fact that it was going to be Winter made Andrea shiver once more when another breeze entered the room. Spring has always been Andi's favorite season and Autumn has been the season that she dislikes most. Not that she hates it or anything, it's just that she hates it when she's walking anywhere outside a castle or a house and she starts to step on fallen leaves and the leaves starts making this annoying crunching sounds.

"I'll take that as a yes". Andrea replied with a sigh of boredom as she walked towards the couch that has the same color as the house where she was sorted in. She was so bored and tired that she practically collapsed herself into the soft couch. After doing so, she looked at the boy with the same bored expression buried on her young face. The boy seems to love the color green judging the fact that he was wearing a green polo shirt with a green tee inside it and a green shoes and he's sitting on one of the couches that has the color green also. The thought of him being an environmentalist came up to Andrea's little mind. Yet he doesn't look like he was some guy who enjoys planting trees so another thought of him just loving the color green occurred to her again. "Seems like green's your favorite color" She said, while looking at the boy with a bemused expression. Andrea doesn't really have a favorite color but purple has always been the color she mostly picks when she’s coloring her finished drawing. Andrea looked around the room and examined it. It wasn't as cool as the Student Lounge of course but it's a lot better than her house common room if you asked her. "Totally. I have nothing interesting to do" she replied, resting her elbows the end of the couch and putting her knuckles on her jaw while adding a bored sigh.

The possibilities of being sarcastic for the young boy were rapidly getting higher. It was possible for his next response to be something that was quite nasty with his unpredictable temper that was unexpectedly flaring up at the moment. Benjamin easily hid it though and controlled his own self from being the typical Slytherin that those non Snakes terribly disliked. The best quality, of the Slytherins for Benjamin was when they knew how to deal with situations that were idiotic and somehow, a bit mental. As a response, sea green eyes matched the same eyes as the girl had as it followed every single movement that she did and watched as she sat down on the couch. Benjamin took a single second to settle his eyes on her, before deciding to move his own direction of sight to some place else. The blazing fire was producing its occasional sparks that were coloured orange before even turning back into its previous position. The cycle went on and on and the reflection of the yellow fire were visibly planted on the Slytherin's green smug eyes.

With the familiar female voice echoing around the room, the twelve year old looked around himself with the same uninterested expression. It was actually true, with the colour of green that covered his whole body. It seemed that only his pants differed in colour which went by black. Benjamin's young face lit up with the same expression - smirking and nodding at the same time, giving her his approval about her observation. "I'm used to seeing green all the time. I wake up and sleep with the colour green around me." With that, he was aware that he gave her a hint about his Hogwarts house that he was proud to be sorted in. Slytherins were almost alike with his family. Both sides were in a way, ambitious and would always want to get their way. Even the younger Snakes that were either Pure Blood or Half Breeds were still in his favor. Benjamin ignored her bland statement and just looked around her, curiously eyeing the little cap that was near her body. It was colour red and it sourly reminded him about Gryffindor, the house of the brave ones. "What the heck is that?" Benjamin motioned his head to the small red thing with a clueless spark in his green eyes. Merlin, he did not care if ever he offended her with his tone. He simply wanted to know what the name of that thing was and he surely and had never seen that around the wizarding world. The Pure Blood boy leaned in, taking in the sight of the red cap near the blonde.

Andrea was starting to feel that the boy what somewhat observing her. It wasn't like she was freaked out or anything but it was really starting to bother her. Andrea shrugged as she remain her position and stared at the empty couch next to her. It was covered with the color blue and Andrea immediately identified what house it represents. It was the house of the witty students and it was Ravenclaw. At first, Andrea thought people that are sorted in Ravenclaw are snotty but when she actually started to meet one, it turns out not every Ravenclaw is. Andrea stared at the couch some more, for some reasons it's pretty close to the color of violet so Andrea was starting to admire it. The couches in the room were pretty comfy. It almost felt like sitting in marshmallows. Andrea turned her gaze towards the boy but the boy wasn't staring at her now, he was staring at somewhere eventually more interesting than her. Andrea rolled her eyes. She was quite bored at the moment and there was nothing interesting got do. Andrea started picturing herself riding a horse. She had never ridden a horse before but she would love to.

The thought of the boy being in Slytherin occurred to Andrea. She had never met a Slytherin before, at least not a student. Now, it was Andrea's turn to look at the boy. She raised an eyebrow as she was doing so. "I see" She simply replied, still raising an eyebrow and looking at the boy from head to toe. There was nothing interesting about him with the exception of his hair. They were comb neatly and were the color of Andrea's hair back when her blonde-obsessed mother dyed it blonde. For some reasons, she hadn't really missed her old hair. Her hair now was obviously more fresh to let loose and more easier to comb since it was short. Her old hair was long and is very difficult to comb since she doesn't really have the world's straightest hair. The boy looked back at Andrea with a bored expression. Apparently. it seems to Andrea that he was observing her again. He was staring at the cap that was resting peacefully on Andrea's side. Later, he asked what it was, Andrea looked at her side and sat up straighter, she picked up the cap and held it with an index finger above it's opening and spun it. "You mean this?" She said as she held the hand that wasn't holding the cap. So, the boy doesn't know what a cap was, big deal? He probably is a Half-Blood or a Mixed Blood or even a Pureblood for all we know. "It's a cap. My dad gave this to me as a Christmas present la-" Andrea explained but before she could finish her sentence, two young girl appeared out of nowhere in the room.

Green eyes looked at only two possible things; the blonde sitting nearby and the fire that was continuing to warm the room. Benjamin did not mind the uncomfortable feeling that was starting to contaminate the whole room as he looked at the blonde. There was absolutely nothing wrong with looking at her and he knew that there was no certain expression pinned to his face. The interesting results of looking at her were rewarded by a lame response but it still made Benjamin smirk a little. Goodness, she was smart to say at least. Benjamin loved it; especially when he would talk to people that were good enough to make a conversation with. The rarity of Pure Bloods were becoming lesser every year and that it saddened Benjamin. Pure Bloods were one of his favorite people but they got rarer every time. The Slytherin's back remained rested on the couch comfortably, not bothering to move or lean forward. "Gryffindor, aren't you?" It was already quite obvious but that did not matter as of now. The colour of the couch did not vary on which house she belonged in. Red was probably a favorite colour of hers and that was why she collapsed herself on it similar to how Benjamin did moments ago.

How the girl spun that little red thing she was twisting a while ago made Benjamin a bit, impressed. He did not actually interest himself with what others did with their own lives and just checked his own. This time, it was a different thing that the girl was playing with. Benjamin nodded slowly and replied, "Of course." He really was referring to that small thing of hers and it interested him to the last bit of his curiosity. His green eyes followed it as it danced around her fingers gracefully. Benjamin was not really a fan of something so delicate and unusual but right now, there was nothing to do and giving a little look to that small red thing did not hurt at all. Benjamin listened, his ears on the prowl but he immediately separated his eyes from hers when two other girls went inside the Courtyard. They seemed to be first years also and Benjamin did not care. He waved his hand at her and motioned her to go on. "Just go on. Don't mind the interrupters." He spoke his last words with fierceness and a hint of annoyance. In the corner of his eyes, he could sense that both girls were still holding the same expression of surprise. He guessed that they too did not expect any people in the Courtyard. Benjamin however, kept his eyes on the girl as she continued her broken response.

It seems like awkwardness has started filling the air. Andrea doesn't have a lot of things in mind to say considering her drowsy status and her current inability to say anything interesting let alone find and actually do something. Andrea kept her gaze onto the Ravenclaw couch for she knew that the boy was still staring at her and it would pretty much result to more awkwardness if ever she met his gaze. Later on, Andrea was beginning to be bothered a lot. She doesn't know what the boy was thinking on his head while he was looking at her. She hoped it was nothing mean though since Andre can't really take criticism and insult. Andrea turned her gaze from the couch to the boy and looked at him with her light brown eyes filled with curiousness to why the boy was staring at her. “Is there something wrong?" She asked, as she gave the boy a curious yet bothered look. After then, she turned her gaze from the boy and into the fireplace. It was burning quite well. Not that there is anything interesting about burning, at least not to Andrea. "Finally figured it out?" She replied "And it seems to me that you're a Slytherin. I have no doubts that you are" She went on, as she gave the boy a tired look. She doesn't seem to be harsh or anything and she didn't really mean to offend the boy if he was really offended since Andrea was after all, only having a drowsy day and drowsy people aren't exactly energetic and their brains don't really function well.

Andrea kept on spinning the cap the boy observed it. She has learnt this technique from her basketball coach and it supposed to be a ball that Andrea's going to spin though the cap was acceptable for now. At least Andrea could do something rather than stop herself from yawning. Andrea gave the cap a quick glance and read the letters that were stiffly stitched onto the cap's front. It was a curlicue font that has the letters N and Y on it meaning New York. Andrea's sentence was somehow interrupted by unexpected companions but the boy just waved a hand as signaled Andrea to go on. She told Andrea to don't mind the interrupters which Andrea nodded and obediently followed. She cleared her throat and went on, “As I was saying. My dad gave this to me last Christmas as a pres-" but sadly she was interrupted again. "Excuse me" A girl said not too kindly, she seemed to be referring to the boy. "But we don't really mind "interrupting" your precious conversation and we also hope you don't too but let me remind you that this courtyard is for everybody else not only for you two and because of that we're not interrupting anything." She said, as she pointed her fingers, he expression was disgusted on both Andrea and the boy.

The gaze of people weren't as bothering as Benjamin's as far as he knew by himself but for him, it totally did not matter. He wanted to know and register, her unusual features. She was actually skinny; very skinny and fragile looking. Benjamin was aware of the awkwardness that he was bringing. Though he did not mind it, the girl looked disturbed as what Benjamin expected her to look like. Inwardly, he smirked to himself, proud at the discomfort that he gave her while he gazed at her. His sea green eyes lowered its intensity as he stared and narrowed his eyebrows at her. The sudden interruption of her voice made him lose concentration, even though his gaze had no hostile intentions. Benjamin's eyes did not contain any hint of embarrassment though; He simply took his eyes off her for a moment and returned it again on her as she spoke. "Absolutely not," The boy scoffed at her as he threw her a gentle shrug on his shoulders. He absolutely was not ready to face this question, since people would just turn away and reject his gaze at once. This girl though, was different. "- just trying to remember your face." Her face was actually tomboyish and somehow, different looking. The twelve year old met girls who seemed to just like giggling and talking about boys whom they secretly admired. It was rather tempting to lean in and state something foul, but Benjamin resisted doing it all his lifetime. He certainly had no right to do just enter their discussion, nor did he care anyways.

Green eyes followed the cap's direction as it swirled repeatedly, enjoying the rare view. It was not a daily thing that Benjamin always saw in the world of Pure Bloods, but he knew something that he shouldn't have been knowledgeable of. That thing, was something not part of the wizarding world. His thoughts only reached up to there, even though he tried predicting what would her answer would be. The Gryffindor stopped her cap-spinning and Benjamin immediately listened. The pair of interrupters stated something predictable and Benjamin turned his head, irritated by their latest interruption. "Let me remind you that you just surprised my companion as she was telling me something, causing her to stop. The Courtyard is for everybody, but everybody should mind their own business too, shouldn't they?" The arrogant boy smirked at them with the usual pride that he had in his tone and aura. Benjamin stared at the pair of girls, who they absolutely did not know and challenged them into something that he always encountered. An argument or a debate, anything was usual. The girl however, sat there facing Benjamin whom Benjamin had temporarily forgotten. His temper was being tested but he did not allow himself to be taken over by something he has known.

Andrea wasn't really in the mood for any bothering. All she wanted was a peaceful conversation and perhaps a fun activity that would eventually take her drowsiness away. The look the Slytherin boy kept on giving her was somewhat annoying. Andrea wasn't sure if the boy had been looking at her in an observant way or if he was simply trying to analyze her features if she was someone that he knew or perhaps a classmate of his since introductions still haven't been made. What Andrea knows for sure is that the temperature is going down and the fire hadn't put too much effort on making the room warm either. In fact, as what Andrea observed, it wasn't warming her at all. She could still feel the cold essence of the air as she breathed it in. She was sure winter is coming soon and it was going to be, once more, another season of missing a basketball game. Andrea wasn't sure of how long she could take the no-basketball-thing but as long as she eats pumpkin pie everyday she thinks she'll be okay. Andrea looked at the boy with one of her eyebrows raised. The boy seems to be glad she's bothering Andi which eventually made Andrea more annoyed. "What do you mean?" Andrea asked still retaining the bothered look. The boy's words seem to confuse Andrea. Remember my face? She asked herself.

The two interrupters weren't giving Andrea much credit for keeping her temper down. They kept on insisting that they weren't interrupting anything. Andrea, however, just rolled her eyes. The boy on the other hand, weren't keeping his temper down. In fact, he snapped something impeccably mean back to the girls. Not that they don't deserved it, really. The girls seemed to be Muggle Borns. Andrea realized this quickly as they look quite familiar. Andrea didn't bother snapping something since her drowsy status was controlling her. But when Andrea couldn't take everything anymore, the "I am not interrupting anything" comments the girl kept saying didn't help her either, she held out both her hands and signaled the two to stop and asked in an irritable manner, "Would you two please stop?". She looked at both the girls and flashed them a fake smile and said "Please, leave us alone for a minute. I understand that the Courtyard is for everybody but we just really need some privacy since we are discussing something very important". To Andrea's relief, the girls nodded and went out of the room. Andrea sighed heavily with relief and turned to the boy and said "Well, that wasn't much, was it?" She asked, sarcastically. "Back to what I was saying-" She said, as she held the cap once more, "-This is a cap given by my dad last Christmas as a present." She said, triumphantly that she finally finished her sentence.

Whatever the girl was thinking about, Benjamin had no care about it. He did not mind her thinking bad about him. All he was doing was the innocent gazing across the room, until his curious eyes landed on her. It was unfortunate for her though, since Benjamin always had the nerve to always test anything. It was a bad decision for him though, but did he care? The Slytherin simply gazed at her, from head to toe but it was in a gentle manner. Benjamin never planned to scare her. Annoy was probably the word that he always brought to other people that he stared at, except for his very important family members. They were the only people that he did not do it too. The boy intentionally removed his green eyes off her and stared at the fire instead, but in a moment, turned back his head to face her direction. Her expression was already annoyed and he resisted a smirk across his young features. He hid it, but expressed it to himself though in his mind. Benjamin had the ability to control his facial expression carefully, but it was his temper that challenged him all the time, tossing him off guard. "Eh, nothing. You seem familiar. Did you take Potions last semester?" The tone of his voice was smooth and casual, making sure that nothing would happen. His last conversation as he remembered, was with his younger sibling and surely, it turned out to be an awful thing. Benjamin inhaled a soft breath as he waited for the girl's answer. He always knew that their first impression of him was a loner, but they did not know what vile personality hid under that mask of loneliness. The Snake waited patiently for her response as he tapped his foot on the floor, gently so that she would not hear any sound of it.

Sooner or later, Benjamin's head was going to explode with madness. Benjamin treated them like they had no idea of what he was talking about it. Both of them were just talking to him without sense and he sat there, just looking at them with calm look on his face. The smugness always worked to win. At least, Benjamin thought of the idea as a fact that he would always hold on too. His companion though, had enough of their boisterous voices that were almost shouting. Benjamin had to smirk to himself, as both girls held a sign of defeat. Girls always had the power to control their fellow females and it was just unfortunate for Benjamin that he did not contain that special thing since he was a one hundred percent male. "You girls really have something that can hold back one another no?" He avoided her rhetorical question as he questioned the blonde that was right in front of him, looking rather heated and annoyed. Benjamin always knew that girls had this kind of thing that controlled one another. Males on the other hand, had a special thing too. They were somehow connected. The Pure Blood leaned back on the silver green sofa and listened to see if there were still whispers around them, that was brought by those two girls. Benjamin finally heard none, except for the silence that was echoing around them. "Strange, I've never seen anything like that before. Is it Muggle?" Slowly, he lifted his gaze to the cap that was again, in her skinny hands. Benjamin had never heard of a cap and he was almost sure that his guess was on the right side.

The warm temperature that the fire was causing has contaminated the air surrounding the two. After the annoyances closed the door, Andrea no longer feel cold anymore. Silence filled the air as Andrea tapped her lap while waiting for someone to say something. The boy continued to lay his green smug eyes on Andrea which made Andrea put her mind on only one subject. All she could think of was if the boy was meaning what he was doing and staring at her to make her mad or if he was just really checking her out. The thought made Andrea shiver down her spine and let out a loud "Eww", her face was clogged with disgust. And suddenly, she felt cold all over again. Andrea made a face. She was fully aware that she can't take criticism all right but that? Oh, she won't lose her temper, she'll just burst it out. Andrea gritted her teeth. She glared at the fire that was scorching happily in front of the room. The glare was meant for the boy of course though Andrea can't look him in the eyes because she knew that the boy would just say something he might regret. At least that's what she thought by then. The boy can obviously sense the annoyance on Andrea's face as she gritted her teeth while glaring at the fire. Later, Andrea could still feel the eyes of the boy stuck on her. The boy had ask her a question though so she was forced to move her gaze to the direction of the boy. She raised her eyes while eyeing him suspiciously as he talked. The annoyed look was still perfectly visible on Andrea's face but she wasn't aware of it though. "Yes I did", she said calmly. Now it was Andrea's turn to stare at the boy. He looked really familiar. In fact, he had the same face structure as Andrea's friend, Napoleon's though with a different haircut. She raised an eyebrow as she looked at the boy. His eyes were really very green and to Andrea's opinion, it looked totally annoying. Green was definitely not her favorite color and she strongly disliked it too. She let out a disgusted smirk and turn her eyes back on the fire.

The girls look very familiar also. It was like they were those other freshmen Muggles but she had never had a conversation with them before until now. The boy looked pretty mad though. Andrea was sure he's a tempered person like her though judging the smug expression her face was producing. Andrea's triumphant look hadn't faded though and so was the annoyed. She had definitely had enough of the quarrel and just wants to have peace around her. Though it would be very impossible if the boy keeps on giving her this annoying observant look. "I don't know maybe. But if you ask me, I think it's only because they're Muggle", she said with no hesitation. Muggles can sense they're co-Muggles especially by their way of speaking. Muggles seem to use more fresh words while non-Muggles use deep words. This boy right in front of Andrea is obviously a non-muggle. She didn't care though as long as her respects her. There were no more noises coming from the girls and that made Andrea feel more relieved. It was always good to have less than two to three person shouting at each other just because of the rules of the Courtyard especially when the person that wasn't involved was trying really hard to aim a quiet surrounding due to the drowsiness she was feeling. "Yeah", Andrea simply replied when the boy asked if it was muggle. It was of course, only the boy doesn't know if it is due to his blood heritage being non-muggle. His question only made it more than clear that he wasn't a muggle. "Do you have a name?" Andrea asked curiously as he looked at the boy with one raised brow. She wanted to find out the boy's name so she could place it somewhere on her head if she had already met the boy or not.

"Of course, a Gryffindor." Replied the boy has he already removed his eyes from her. He knew that his observance was done and so he already had nothing to do with her. Benjamin gave her a slight nod without making any eye contact, ignoring the awkwardness that they had occasionally. He was fully aware that other people despised times that their was a silence that would fill large gaps of their conversation. He though, did not really care about it. What they were having was not even a conversation in his opinion. It was a small thing that he did not even consider as a conversation. Not that he cared about it either. Briefly, he slowly turned at the girl to hear her voice again, seemingly irritated and uninterested in their conversation. Benjamin knew what she was feeling, but never was he going to show it to the girl that was just in the same age line as him. "Since when did someone remain unnamed ever since birth?" Snickered the boy for a while, but immediately released it in a few seconds time. The temper of the girl was rapidly flaring and oh, he certainly did not want to spoil the fun. The fun that would soon erupt, he thought quietly as he expectantly faced her again to see what comeback would she bring up for him.

Andrea breathed a huge amount of relief when she no longer felt the sickening stare the boy kept giving her and also for the fact that her checking out theory wasn't true. "You mean Gryffindor First Year." She corrected him since a thought came up to her that not all Gryffindors are taking Potions this first semester. Andrea smirked to herself when she found out that they boy was keeping his eyes to his now. She felt more triumphant and more comfortable. Silence was now surrounding the room and the only noise was the Andrea's feet tapping on the floor and fire that was scorching in front of her and the boy. This was exactly what Andrea wanted. Peace and quiet. No annoying girls, no annoying stare and no annoying weather since Andrea went warm back when the boy kept his eyes to himself. Andrea let out a chuckle when the boy replied to her name question. "That's your name? Pretty long. I'll just take your nickname then. If you have one that is" She said with both of her eyebrows raised and a funny smile plastered on her face.

A second came by but it lasted for like a strong ten minute pause. Benjamin stared at the Gryffindor with his sea green eyes sparkling with a sour face. Benjamin simply looked at her again with that sour stare that said that he did not care at all. Who was he to judge anyways? He barely knew the person, but he moved it off. His manners were already forgotten nowadays yet he absolutely did not care. He was a Pure Blood who lived with the beliefs of Pure Blood superiority even though that rubbish thought has faded years ago along with the death of the Dark Lord. Since that time, the Chase family has been keeping a much more protected and low profile. There were aurors almost everywhere and their search for Death Eaters began to become a little hysteric and the frenzy was just unbearable. "No, let's say Gryffindor fifth year," Benjamin sarcastically noted as he layed his once cold eyes on her as they talked casually. The boy attempted to make this little talk of theirs work, just to avoid it exploding into another disaster with the other people he has talked with. "Okay I kid. Relax." He added smugly this time, waiting if ever the girl would come with a clever comeback.

"Was that a joke? I never thought of it as one." Benjamin ridiculously stated as she had that annoying funny smile that was playing on her lips. He smirked stupidly, looking at her if ever she would approve. His dry sense of humour would never impress someone who is bubbly. Anyways, he answered her just to clarify things for a moment. "Benjamin Chase. You?" The wizard slightly tipped his head to the side with a questioning look in his dark sea green eyes.

And the annoyance started once more when the boy laid his green eyes on Andrea. Again. Andrea smirked when she felt the boy's strong gaze bore inside her. Why must he look at me like that, She thought scornfully. Andrea continued to tap her lap as silence clogged the air. Andrea didn't care if no sound would come out at all, just for the boy to stop staring at her. And when she couldn't take it anymore, she turned her scorching gaze towards the boy and said, "Please, stop it." She said calmly, glaring at the boy with her fiery eyes. Andrea was becoming more serious now. She was fully aware of what's going on. The boy answered sarcastically when Andrea corrected him. But, he added that he was just kidding. "Sarcastic comments are truly funny aren't they?" She added sarcastically.

Andrea chuckled. "Then maybe it's time for you to find it funny then" She said with the same funny face. The boy was starting to get annoyed. Yes, Andrea thought with a smirk plastered on her face. At last, She thought when the boy finally said his name. "Andrea Kelize." She calmly said still maintaining the funny smile on her face.

How problematic Kelize was. Benjamin was able to resist snorting loudly so that he'd be able to shut his mouth. It was the only thing that he could have done for today and better yet, it was somewhat laced with pride. Benjamin knew that he was known for speaking out what he wanted to say most of the time but probably times for some maturity would be a lot better. The boy was already in the age of twelve and perhaps he needed times wherein his maturity was tested. Benjamin remained quiet as he narrowed his green eyes at her as a final observation then tore it off. He was just looking at her for probably less than a minute. She was bothered to fast for her to even not notice that her company was getting the feeling of her being quite odd. "You have no idea. It never fails to amuse me." Benjamin replied with a feeling of luck playing with the Gryffindor's game. Eventually, when silence took over again, Benjamin faced the blazing fire in the fireplace, his green eyes reflecting just what he was seeing. Just thinking about the Gryffindor was a good subject and she was definitely not according to his taste. Her blonde hair was fine but Benjamin had a feeling that it was not natural. Not knowing why, he just answered her, "I can't see why I should." He asked, regarding her vague response towards his sarcastic remark about that corny joke. The boy nodded anyways as he heard her name not even wondering why it was so damn familiar to his ears.

The glare Andrea gave the boy next was scorching with annoyance. She was absolutely annoyed over the fact that this annoying Slytherin boy kept giving her the looks that she would never want anyone to give her. This wasn't really turning out the way Andrea planned it. No peace and quiet seems to struck Andrea at the moment which made her madder. Temper was really one of Andrea's weakness since she drops it quickly like a hot potato. Her temper has put her into a lot of trouble but it also gave her the opportunity to plant friendship such as what happened with Damien over the library. At first, the two were really mad at each other and were practically yelling and saying swear words but later when the other starts to let go of their pride, forgiveness takes over and friendship blooms. But Andrea wasn't sure if that's what will happen this time. Andrea made a face when she heard the boy's response. She hadn't respond anything since she kept her words by herself. "Yeah, right. I doubt all sarcastic remarks amuse you", she thought. The silence is another thing. It's the other annoying thing. Andrea's gaze was fastened on the fire since she doesn't want to meet anyone's annoying eyes. "Then maybe you should start seeing properly instead of keeping yourself blind by staring at other people annoyingly." Andrea replied disgusted with the boy's response, "Oh. And nice job on keeping your snort to yourself" She added.

Benjamin knew that for the next fifteen minutes, some annoyances would be passed out as titles for one another. Kelize would probably take him as any other typical Slytherin who just passed her day to make it either worse or scary. Any of the two was both possible but the Slytherin had his money on the first choice. The latter was not really a choice for him since Kelize was more of a person with a nasty temper. Any scary things that were for her standards probably did not match Benjamin's personality, leaving him as a pest to her. The only thing that would flare him up is to test his patience or temper. Kelize was not sort of a test for him. She was more of a show to the Pure Blood boy. The corner of his eyes proved this, making him catch - for a second - a nasty face of Andrea. He kept his amused smile to himself, with the corner of his lips just twitching slightly but then remained immovable after a few seconds. "Kelize, relax please," Benjamin uttered exasperatedly. She was really taking him seriously, far more than what he damn expected from her. "I was just seeing whether you looked my age or not. Honestly, don't think to much about it." His acting was far most the coolest thing that he had said for today. One of the coolest that is. Benjamin recalled the last few seconds on which he resisted a snort. His actions were all the proof on why she was acting like this to him. Benjamin snickered softly and replied a good comeback, "Sure. Nice job releasing your flaring temper." Benjamin gave her a little laugh and with his hand, he ran it through his hair and tugged it softly, to stop himself from laughing hopelessly. Once his brain registered the ongoing pain, his mouth clamped shut from releasing any laughter.

Benjamin Chase is exactly the kind of person that would take over the throne of what Andrea calls it -Mr.Show Off. Not only because he's irritating Andrea so much now but also because it seems like he wasn't annoyed one bit. It seemed like he was actually having fun torturing her. Andrea's temper really is one of her weakest traits. Oh, her temper won't activate as long as she gets good criticism. And even though Benjamin already cleared out why he was staring at her, the irritation never left Andrea. In Andrea's mind, Benjamin resembles this green little worm that slowly and continuously bites the fresh-from-the-oven pumpkin pie Andrea baked herself and all she wanted was to grab that worm and squash it. Yep. That's how mad she was. Andrea raised an eyebrow when the annoying Slytherin boy told her to relax. That's easy for him to say, Andrea thought scornfully. Andi threw the boy a disgusted expression. "Well, that's a stupid thing to do. Of course I am your age. We're both in the same year, remember? And I'm not into puberty yet so what's the point?" Andrea uttered in a tone of voice that resembles the idea of the boy missing the point. "Thanks. You know what? You just made my day" Andrea replied sarcastically.

Benjamin rethought again what Kelize just told him and recalled their previous moments together. He never said that he was just in the same year as Andrea was. The girl was smart enough for her own good, honestly. She figured it out but Benjamin did not really think of that as a thing for him to comment sarcastically about. It was just when the Gryffindor spoke out the word 'puberty' that he hated so much. Hell, what was she thinking at this age? He never thought of himself growing and having a taller height, stronger body and all the things that his father told him during his last visit in the manor. Benjamin shook his head in disgust. "Oh Merlin, you seriously think of puberty? That awful subject?" Benjamin's mouth was slightly apart as he thought about the awful things that could happen to him. Those physical changes were said to change him drastically. The Pure Blood mentally shuddered because of Andrea's attempt to make him do so. Her next reply though amused him, making him smile mischievously at the girl. "Awh, that was touching. Well, you're welcome!" He knew that when someone thanked him for a favour that he did, he needed to reply something that was likewise polite.

OOCOut of Character:
Sorry for the length. xD

The boy was clearly from Andrea's year. He figured out that Andrea took Potions on the first semester so Andrea had no doubts that he took it too considering he's a Slytherin. The boy hadn't replied anything about them being in the same year. Andrea smirked at the thought. Instead, the boy's face darkened with disgust as he shook his head in the same way. Andrea doesn't really like talking about puberty. She doesn't even know why she brought up the topic. Maybe because of the fact that her temper was scorching. Puberty really is a hellhole. In Andrea's mind, she wanted to stay young forever. Andrea looked taken aback when the boy replied. It was like she was surprised by the fact that the boy mentioned the word though she was the one who brought it up. "Well, it's normal. It happens to everyone. Though I can relate if you think it's disgusting" Andrea explained. Benjamin Chase obviously thought the same way as Andrea. Puberty is a disgusting subject. When Benjamin replied to Andrea's sarcastic compliment, Andrea let out a really humorless laugh. The boy was really starting to get on her nerves now. And the worst part is that she's not sure when he'll get out.

Benjamin found himself raising an eyebrow at the blonde girl sitting across with an amused expression on his face. Surely, she really could relate to what they were talking about. In fact, they were in the same year, same age yet different personalities and houses. Her temper told him that she would have made it in Slytherin but he immediately doubted himself. Slytherins had a colder nature. Not really an irritating one like hers. Benjamin found himself close to that cunning and ambitious nature that a typical Slytherin would contain. He closed his eyes for a brief moment and opened them, his green eyes sparkling with a newly touched smugness. He thought about the blonde's statement that he did not even answer and opened his mouth to speak - his thoughts running around his head yet he closed again with no noise at all. It was useless to speak even when his thoughts were running wild in his head. They did not make sense at all anyways. The humorless laugh that the blonde gave out made Benjamin look at her, raising a skeptical eyebrow before putting it down. "What was that for?" Benjamin asked, his tone cold and serious for once. Her laugh did not seem as good as he expected and it was something that could bring him to trouble. Another annoyance, for sure. He helplessly looked at her as she responded, whatever it was and looked away from her face. Her expressions were tiring him and making him bored and maybe leaving the room would be a huge deal for him. Leaving was his plan, soon.

Andrea gave Benjamin Chase a disgusting look when he raised an eyebrow. He didn't said anything about Andrea's previous comment and Andrea hadn't expected him to. Puberty is an awkward and disgusting topic. When Chase closed his eyes, it was Andrea's turn to raise an eyebrow. What is he doing?, she thought curiosity. Is he imagining or something?, She thought with the same amount of curiosity. Everything was now clear to Andrea. The boy was clearly from Slytherin judging all the smugness that he contains. All clear except for one thing. She wasn't sure what the boy's blood status is. She had numerous suspicions before but somehow, there's something about it that she cannot put her finger on. Andrea just rolled her eyes when the thought came to her. She wasn't eager to know the boy's blood heritage. Whatever it is, she truly out of it. Andrea gave the Slytherin a sarcastic smile. "Can't you understand the meaning of my "laugh"?" She asked definitely disgusted. This conversation was turning more tiring and boring than before. Chase looked like he was feeling the exact same thing. Andrea was glad about that. At least something is suppose to go her way.

Why were all Gryffindors coming to him? That question was constantly repeated over and over again in the Slytherin's mind nowadays. He really had no one to talk too, but that did not bother him to the slightest. It was true that he was more of an introvert but conversations were looking for him, especially from Gryffindors. Did they want this attention? Bloody hell, does his future wife - who by the way needed to be a Pure Blood - reside in the house of the Lions? The thought crept him out as he stared to another place elsewhere. Kelize made him decide that she was not one of a kind after all. The blonde belonged to those common Gryffindors who were damn stubborn. His green eyes were averted so that they would not rest themselves on Kelize's blonde head and if only he had the chance to insult her, Benjamin would call her a bimbo. Something nasty, yes, but definitely worth his whole damn time in the Courtyard with her. Her voice went in his thoughts again and he awarded her with a matching scowl and grunt. "Obviously not, I believe. That's why people pop in with questions whether it is ridiculous or not, just to know what other senseless people are talking about." Benjamin's green eyes flashed with smugness, his thoughts wondering whether she would come back with a good retort or not. After all, his father taught him the real traits of a Slytherin. Being cunning was one thing that Benjamin contained and he would pour everything that his Slytherin mind knew about on Kelize.
