Glee Club Performance!!

Sara was really nervous. This was the Glee Club's first performance for the yule ball, in years, no one she knew could reember a glee club ever performing. She didn't have to sing a solo, so she wasn't completely overcome, but she could imagine how nervous the others were, especially the First Years. They were new to the school, this must be nerve wreaking. She was backstage, with the other members, and they were all gathered together, waiting to begin. People were looking over lyrics, and practicing their dance steps for the group number. That wwas definetly going to be good, they'd racticed it enough. "Okay guys, here we go. good luck to everyone!" she whispered, then giving them a thumbs up, she strode onto the stage. She cleared her throat and took out her wand. "Sonorus!" she stated calmly. It had taken her a while to learn this spell, but she wanted to be heard. "Excuse me everyone." her voice called across the hall. "I hope you're all having a great time." she grinned, this was greeted by a mass of clapping. "I'd like to introduce our Glee Club's first Yule Ball performance." she smiled, as the crowd applauded. This was going to be good. "First off, we have our soloist- Miss Kate Moon! Singing "All I Want For Christmas Is You."" she called, and began clapping. As Kate walked on stage, Sara winked at her, and stood backstage, listening and hoping that it went alright.

Kate was backstage and going over her words.She was first on and she was nervous.this was the first time in a very long time that the club had preformed at the Yule Ball,their group song was very good and the two first year's duet was very nice too.She was still surprised that she had been voted to do the solo she was very honored and she had practiced for ages.She had done all her warm ups and as long as she didn't get stage fright she would be as right as rain.She watched Sara go out on stage and she tried to ignore the butterflies.When Kate was introduced she took a deep breath and walked out on stage.She was amazed by all the people and the size of the hall.It wasn't until you were up here you realized the size.Kate saw Sara wink and she smiled.When everyone was finished clapping she nodded to the band and once the music started y=she knew she would be okay.She then began to sing All I Want For Christmas Is You.When she was singing she interacted with the audiance and was all smiles.She was really enjoying it and was sad when it was over "Thanks,everyone"She said waving and bowing "Happy Christmas and I hope ye have a lovely night"She said before taking one more bow and walking off the stage with a huge smile plastered on her face.

 

[Riley Sparkles]

Riley was a bit disappointed that she didn't get a solo performance. She had realized that with the shocking performance she gave to her school work this year, being an Auror wasn't looking that likely. It gutted her to realize that, but there were always silver linings. One of the only things that kept Riley from Jerrod was being an Auror, and now that that was out of the picture, perhaps they could rekindle their relationship? And perhaps she could really make her singing her career?
But Riley pushed that out of her mind for now as she clapped Kate Moon off the stage. Kate really did have a beautiful voice, and she was really good with the audience. Riley gave Kate a quick hug and whispered 'Well Done' before walking onto the stage with a huge smile.
"I hope you all are having a good time tonight!" Riley exclaimed to the crowd. "Now I know that Kate Moon is a tough act to follow, but I think these two firsties have it in them. Everyone, please welcome out, Hariah Meadows and Damien Blade!" Riley cheered and walked off the stage with the smile still lingering on her face.
