Seamus was only an alternate on his team, and while he knew that it was a fair position to be in, he wanted to ensure, that come the next semester he wasn’t an alternate anymore, or at least that he didn’t lose his position on the team. So of course to do this, Seamus had come to the pitch. He had brought his broom, hadn’t told his twin, and was intending to practice hard, after all it was just that he needed more practice and as a beater he didn’t want to practice too much with his brother right there. Seamus would rather throw himself head first into a bludger but not his brother. But for now, given that it was unsafe to practice with bludgers without supervision, so he had a couple of quaffle's with him and was intending to do a little flying and then probably get to at least hitting some quaffles.

Jingyi was still a little bitter that he had never managed to make the team. But maybe it wasn't so bad, Gryffindor had ended up coming in last, so it was better to be on a winning team rather than a losing one. But he was still pretty determined to make it the next year, heading down to the pitch to try and get some extra practice in. But he wasn't the only one with the idea, coming to find one of his year-mates had already gotten some things ready. "You're one of the other twins in our year, right?" He first questioned as he wandered closer, pretty sure that he had seen two of this boy walking around. It was easier to notice when he was sure they were in different houses as well, unlike himself and Xinyi. "Um.... S-something?"

Seamus glanced at the boy who arrived on the pitch, and then nodded. his brain caught up to him and realise the question was phrased like this because this was the other boy, this was the other twin set, identical twin set. "Seamus, slytherin," he said with a little nod, he didn't really know this boy too well, aside from when he shared classes with two of him with Gryffindors. "And you're?" he didn't know the name off the top of his head, he was sure one had a name beginning with J and the other X, but he didn't know which one this was.

Jingyi brightened a little when it appeared he was right, smiling at the other boy somewhat. "Seamus. Yeah. I knew that." (He didn't, in fact, know that at all). At least he had known the first letter of his name and hadn't gotten that horribly wrong. "But I'm Jingyi. Gryffindor." He didn't know why he needed to bother adding on his house, it wouldn't help when telling the difference between him and his brother. No, the birthmark around his eye usually did that for people no matter how much Jingyi tried to hide it under the brim of baseball hats.

Seamus nodded as the boy introduced himself too, and said his house, though his house It was was something he had known, it was easy enough to remember it all. "Good to meet a fellow twin," he said, it wasn't too often he did meet another twin and this was the first he'd met that as was indentical He motioned to the pitch behind him. "Are you here to practice?" he asked with a little shrug. He wasn't sure why he asked, but he was here and the only reason to practice or meet someone.

Jingyi just continued to grin, nodding his head a little enthusiastically. "Not too many of us around, we need to stick together and all that." There were actually a surprising amount of twins around Hogwarts, but not too many identical ones. Especially not two sets of identical twins in the same year. And then he nodded his head. "Yeah, I'm determined to make the Gryffindor team next year. You and your brother are so lucky to both be on the team already."

Seamus gave a little nodd at the statment, they should stick together, though in theory twins already did with their respectively counter twins. He gave a little nod. "We both got pretty lucky," he replied with a shrug, since he knew it was partly down to luck, if there was the spot on the team and not too many others. "What position do you usually play?"

Jingyi was not exactly close with Xinyi. Sure, he was incredibly protective of his twin to the point he would protect him with his fists if he had to, but that didn't mean they were close. In fact, Jingyi actually rarely just hung out with his brother. "Yeah, I'm jealous," he just hoped that next year he would be able to make it. "I play beater, usually, though."

Seamus gave a little shrug, "Well, a bunch of the gryffindor team are graduating right? You'll make the team soon enough," Seamus said, even though he had never seen the boy play, it felt wrong a little for him to be jealous of Hamish and him. "Me too, why don't we let some bludgers lose and practice hitting them?" he suggested, it wasn't the least dangerous way of practicing but as beaters there weren't too many other ways they could practice.
