Hey there,
Mellie needs the basics really, friends, enemies, anything you can think of.
She is a first year but is one of the older students, her birthday is in September. She has been brought up by her mother after her father disappeared when she was seven. He wasn't around much but just enough for them to be close. Her mother told her he died but that isn't certain.
Her mother has married a lot of men, all different types, and she has been taught how to be cruel and mean towards them, not on purpose of course, and how to manipulate them into getting what she wants. She usually acts nice and bubbly, an attitude that wouldn't fit in in Slytherin, because she's figured out people are nicer and give her more stuff when she's like that.
Basically she can be really nice person, but be faking it, or be a cruel person. Also, if you think your character could fit into the time line of her father then feel free to PM me about it.

She also has had quite a large family, her mother has had six husbands, so far anyway, eleven step-children and two other children apart from Melanie. She may have had more before hand. If you want to be part of the family, please PM.

I think I like the lost puppy idea. It suits Jeremy's personality more especially if he ends up crushing on her.
