Clifton was bundled up tight in his coat as he left the Gryffindor tower to stretch his legs. He had spent all week buried in classwork and preparing endlessly for exams. It seemed like he barely got time to enjoy the castle and grounds anymore. As he pushed open the doors to the entrance hall, he made his way out along the grounds. Clifton looked around the foggy grounds and the misty lake. It was colder than he originally thought it was outdoors. Casting a warming charm, he decided to turn off into the forest. The forbidden forest had been a deal of great adventure and curiosity since his first year at Hogwarts and it had been a while since had returned. The sixth-year slipped past the tree line and began to make a path through the shrubbery. The sound of footsteps caught his attention as he held out his wand in front of him. "Lumos," The wand tip illuminated, revealing the source of the footsteps.

Victoria dressed quite warmly as she had decided to spend a longer time outside the castle this time because she had to ventilate her head. All the teachings had quite pumped her up and only a long walk alone helped her. She was twice in her Forbidden Forest during her school years, this time Victoria decided to go a third time. The legs themselves carried him to the forest. Before reaching the forest, the girl pulled out a wand so there would be no unnecessary delay to cast a spell. 'Lumos.' then noticed she wasn't the only one who chose to walk in the woods today. 'Hi, Clifton.'

Clifton smiles as the newcomer greeted him. “Hello Victoria,” He recalled the girl's name with a wave. “Nice chilly day for a stroll through the forest?" Clifton said with a laugh, lowering his wand. The forest had its dangers and he had encountered a few, but nothing that barred him from going back. He could recall a time in his 4th year where he had gotten in trouble with a few other Gryffindors for sneaking into the forest at night. The only reason he had gotten caught was his younger brother, Bowie, told on him. It was his first year at Hogwarts and he seemed to have taken the rules a little too serious at the start.
