After taking over the tradition from his cousin, Connor had always enjoyed showing first years around the Hogwarts castle, and helping to make them feel at home. But somehow it all felt more official with the Head Boy badge pinned to his uniform. He still felt silly wearing it, like a fraud that had just blundered into something not meant for him. But here he was, and nobody had told him to take it off yet, so he supposed it would be dereliction of duty to do so. He tried not to think about his insecurities as he waited in the Entrance Hall, holding the now battered sign made by a student from long before his own time at Hogwarts high, echoing its message in a loud voice to catch the attention of passers by. "CASTLE TOURS FOR FIRST YEARS!" He called out, trying to sound more enthusiastic and less afraid than he felt. "FIRST YEARS COME LEARN YOUR WAY AROUND THE CASTLE, DON'T GET LOST ON THE WAY TO YOUR CLASSES!"

With nowhere else to go since she was afraid she would get lost, Liya was on her way back to the common room from the great hall when she heard someone shouting about a castle tour for first-year students. Well, she was a first-year and a tour would be a good way to get to know the castle. She approached the boy, a bit surprised to see the head boy badge pinned on his chest. "Hello, I'm here for the tour.", she said politely.

Abigail had been lost again for what felt like the 100th time since she had been here. The corridors all looked the same, the stairs also looked the same. It was like a whole gigantic maze built inside a castle with so many twists and turns to remember. But when she stood and walked around the entrance hall, she remembered where she was, as this was one of the places she had remembered. She was about to find her way back to her common room, most likely going to be lost again on her way back, she noticed an older boy had spoken about a tour for the first years. Abby smiled to herself, as she thought that this would be a good idea for her, as she always seemed to get lost, and made her way up to the boy, noticing a girl there as well, her roommate, and waved at both of them, as she waited for anyone else that wanted to join.

Amelia had come to the conclusion that this all wasn't some big joke being played on her. She was attending a magical school and a huge one at that. Coming to terms with everything was a bit overwhelming. It didn't help that she was rather clueless about this world. She should have done some research, but honestly she didn't believe it was real. Not until now. Now that she was sorted. Now that she had a class schedule. It was real and she would have to make the best of it. It was interesting to think she had some sort of magical power, and now even a little stick of wood to help her cast this so called magic.

Amelia wanted to learn all about this new world, but she had no clue where to start. Surprisingly and to her great luck, she heard a boy calling out to first years in the Entrance Hall. She was a first year after all. Maybe this was important. Amelia followed the voice to find an older boy with a shiny badge pinned to his chest. She also noticed a sign stating something about tours. Now that is lucky She thought happily as she joined the small group of first years around the boy. "Heya! Room for one more?" She asked wondering if there was a requirement to join such a tour. It didn't seem like it though.

Isadora was crossing the entrance hall when her attention was caught by a boy yelling about castle tours. She had been getting lost quite a bit already, so she curiously approached. She knew it was usually the sort of thing an older sibling would do, probably, but Natalia hadn't spoken to her at all since tehy arrived at Hogwarts. Maybe this boy would help her instead. She saw a few familiar faces and grinned, approaching her roommates. "Hey Aaliyah, Abigail." She said eagerly. "What's up?"

Connor always hung around the Entrance Hall with his sign for a while, waiting for new students to congregate for a tour. He greeted the girls cheerfully as they approached, nodding when one of them asked if there was space for her. Once he had gathered a decently sized group he cleared his throat for attention, lowering his sign and smiling as he spoke. "Okay, let's get going! First off, if you didn't know my name is Connor Holland, I'm your Head Boy this year." He said, impressed he hadn't tripped over the title for once. "We're gonna do a full lap of the school - we'll take one path up to the towers, then a different path back down so you know multiple ways to get places. Then we'll dip down to the dungeons, and finish up with the school grounds - prepare to have sore legs after this." He smiled, aiming for a joking tone and hoping he succeeded. He started off by heading towards the stairs, pausing at the bottom. "By now, I'm sure you're familiar with the staircases - some of the stairs are trick ones, you'll learn which steps to skip over time. You can track the movement patterns as well once you get the knack of it, wait here." He said, stopping at an open landing with no rail. He pointed to a staircase across the way, watching as it detached after a moment and glided over to where he and the group were waiting, giving them an encouraging smile. "Staircases are just a practice thing, I'm afraid. Skip the second step there, and let's head up to the first floor classrooms."

Aaliyah turned and smiled to see Abigail. She waved back at the girl and after a few minutes, Amelia from Ravenclaw showed up followed by Isadora. "Hey Isadora", she echoed the latter's greetings. Soon enough, Connor, their head boy, started the tour and they set off. It seemed it would be a girl's tour as they began to head for the stairs. She listened to what the boy said and skipped the second step.
