All of Ainsley's favourite places to read were outside the castle, but as much as she would like it to, the weather hadn't warmed up enough yet for that to be an especially enticing possibility. Ainsley had settled, instead, for a corner of the student lounge by the window, where she could peer out and see the gardens and forest she missed, but with the cosiness of a fire for comfort's sake. She curled up sideways in an armchair, feet against one arm and back against another, enjoying the peaceful moment. Ainsley had borrowed a few of Mum's books from home, for a slight break from her schoolbooks. As much as she enjoyed learning everything she could about the magical world, sometimes a reminder of home was refreshing. Relaxing in the quiet, Ainsley let herself get absorbed in her book, not paying much attention to anything else around her.
