It was the end of the school year, a final goodbye for some, but merely the start of a long, well deserved break for most. Students and staff alike could enjoy some quality time at home without the stress of exams and study looming over their heads. The castle would be uncharacteristically quiet with most of them gone, a reprieve from the antics and rivalries, but there was still work to be done over the course of the holidays for at least some members of the staff, and the house elves employed to ensure Hogwarts remained presentable for the coming year.

As the students filed in, the banners adorning the Great Hall rippled and changed to reflect the signature blue and bronze colours of Ravenclaw house, signifying their outstanding victory for the year. They had taken quite the lead compared to the other houses. Rising from her seat at the staff table, Katherine slowly made her way up to the podium, waiting for everyone to settle into their own seats before speaking. "Welcome one and all to this year's final feast. Before we begin, I'd like to say a few words. First of all, a round of applause for the winners of this year's House Cup - congratulations to Ravenclaw!" The woman announced, producing the cup in question seemingly from thin air, to be presented to Professor Phillips on behalf of his house.

As the applause died down for Ravenclaw House (and the barely audible boos from those who were bitter about their own house not being victorious), the woman moved to wrap things up and allow them to commence eating. "I won't keep you too long this year. A quick reminder, as per the Decree for the Reasonable Restriction of Underage Sorcery, you are not permitted to use magic underage outside of Hogwarts. Not even a simple Lumos. You will all have plenty of opportunities to practice magic once the new year starts, and risking a warning from the Ministry, or worse, is not worth it. Enjoy the break and what it has to offer you. It may be over sooner than you'll realise. Now, please enjoy this feast and have a safe travel home. Until next year."

Time flies, Chante thought as she filed in with her housemates. It wasn't not too long ago that she was shopping for her third year books and crystal ball for her lessons. Like a blink of an eye, she seeing blue and bronze banners hanging from the ceiling above. All that she purchased and Chante hadn't performed her best in comparison to her previous years. Chante wouldn't begin to tell her parents what went wrong, although her grades didn't reflect her abilities, she won't let it discourage her. She'll try a little better, and challenge herself a whole lot more next year. Text books were a drag, and there is where lies her weakness. Reading and taking notes not her strongest of skills. Chante listen to the headmaster, and thought of some ideas as the woman spoke. There has be way to improve, I'll ask dad.

Chante applaud for the Ravenclaw table, it was the only house she really didn't talk to many of their students. There was that girl at Halloween once, she forgot the girl's name. It was a pretty name, Chante scan their table from where sat. Although she was growing (not fast enough for someone with giant blood), other students were still in her way. Ravenlcaw celebrated their victory, applauding and jumping out of their seats. Chante gave up and went back to thinking up more ways to study better. She had a whole winter break coming up to think on it.

Fleur was glad the year was over. Not because it had been a bad year, but because it meant she would return to learn even more and get closer to her goals. Third year had honestly been a great year for her, and she largely attributed that to the fact that she could now take Care of Magical Creatures. If she could drop every subject but that one, she would. But she knew her parents would have a different opinion on that. The girl always liked the feasts at Hogwarts, though she did have to wait to eat until the Headmistress had finished with her speech. It wasn’t a big surprise that Ravenclaw had won the house cup, they seemed to win almost every year. It made sense that the house known for intelligence would get a lot of house points, especially combined with the fact that they had won the Quidditch cup this year too. Fleur applauded politely before listening to Professor Alicastell remind them of how they couldn’t do magic. As if any of them could forget. Then it was time to eat, and Fleur happily piled her plate. In just a few months she would be back here, and this time she would be with her brother. Fleur was very excited to show him everything at school, and started thinking of what she wanted to show him first as she ate.
