Ava sat at the Head table quietly chatting away to the staff around her, waiting for all the students to arrive. She was sure that they were just as excited about the food as she was, so it wasn't long before the Hall filled out. The Professor was surprised about the red decorations that were hanging around the Hall again, the winner of the House Cup quite obvious. Ava rose and the chatter in the Hall quietened out as she cleared her throat to speak. "Welcome everyone the final feast of this year. Before we tuck in, I just have a few words to say. A very big congratulations to the winner of our House Cup this year - as you can all see, the winner is, yet again, Gryffindor!" She exclaimed, clapping along with the cheers from the winning house. "I know that Professor Kingsley is very surprised! But proud of you all, and very happy to have the Cup in her office for another year!" She laughed. Moving on to the top House Point Earners, Ava saw that they had earned quite a bit more House Points than in the previous years. Quite surprisingly, the Top Point Earner wasn't from Gryffindor. Most of the top earners were new to the list, though Gryffindor was in the top three!
"Also a very big congratulations to our Top House Point Earners this year - For Ravenclaw and the Top Point Earner, Massimiliano Moretti earned 686 points for his House! For Gryffindor, congratulations to Rudolf Lagowski who earned 650 for his House! For Slytherin, congratulations to Charlotte Owens for earning 578 for her House! And congratulations to Alexander Carter for earning 515 points for Hufflepuff! Well done everyone!" Ava happily said, clapping along with the rest of the Hall.
"Congratulations to everyone for this year, you have made us all very proud. Have a fantastic holiday everyone! Be safe and empty out your brains in preparation to learn next year! And now we eat!" Ava smiled as the food appeared on the tables before sitting down, and helping herself to a large portion of food.

Rudolf said goodbye to Reuben at the door of the great hall and seated himself at the Gryffindor table. He was much too excited to eat, for Gryffindor's banners had been hung around the hall in a clear victory for his house. Rudolf grinned, giving several of his friends congratulatory slaps on the back for their amazing efforts. What a way to end the year! Though Rudolf was going to miss the school, his friends, and his professors, he had to admit he was excited to see his family again. And there was so much to tell them! His stories would be relayed humorously, and, in duller areas, with a healthy dose of exaggeration, and his Mother would undoubtedly give him extra chores for his audacity and insolence. In all, it had been an incredible year, and Rudolf had never been happier.

Professor King began her end of year speech, and Rudolf listened with a grin on his face that stretched from ear to ear. He was delighted to hear that Gryffindor's win had made their Head of House happy. Then the Headmistress moved on to the top point earners that year. Though Rudolf knew he had done well, he was quietly confident that at least one of Gryffindor's prefects had surpassed him, and was happy to see her win. So when Professor King announced that Rudolf had earned the most points for his house, his jaw almost fell into his lap. "Me?!" he said over the continuous clapping, sure there must have been some kind of mistake. He flushed to his roots and glanced across the table at Victoire, who had awarded him an odd number of points a few days prior. The Gryffindor put two and two together and gave his Prefect a sheepish smile. Thank you, he thought over the table. It wasn't said, but his eyes spoke loudly enough.

Soon thereafter, the speech came to an end, and the promised feast materialised before their very eyes. Rudolf picked lightly at a chicken drumstick, even less hungry now than he'd been five minutes ago. He wasn't sure why Victoire had forfeited her own win to ensure his, and couldn't help but feel as if he'd cheated somehow, but the gesture touched him deeply. Nobody had ever done anything like that for him before. For Rudolf, the year ended with pride, slight confusion, and the warm, fuzzy feeling that came with knowing someone wanted him to be happy.

Reuben parted ways with his brother and found himself a seat between two fellow Hufflepuffs. It was clear from the room's décor that Gryffindor had won the cup, and since Reuben didn't hold any kind of importance to such things, he was very pleased for Rudolf and his friends. He clapped along with everyone else, wondering when the food was going to arrive. He'd skipped breakfast especially for the occasion, and now couldn't wait for the feast to begin. His mouth began to water at the thought of all that food. There would be chicken, and chicken pie, and chicken soup, and chicken- "What?!" The Hufflepuff spluttered in disbelief as his twin's name was called as the top points earner for Gryffindor. He shoved aside the thoughts of food and cheered louder than anyone else at the Hufflepuff table, almost knocking over his goblet in the process. Then he cheered for Charlotte, and for Alexander, who had earned almost as many points for his own house.

After the ceremonies, Reuben ploughed straight into a plateful of chicken pie, giving off the impression that nobody had fed him in weeks. He couldn't wait to get home. His year had been lonely and confusing, as if he'd drifted through the months with no real direction or meaning. There had been good times, but neither his epic prank playing nor general disregard for the rules had filled the empty hole inside him. Truth be told, he didn't even know it was there. All he really knew with any clarity was that something was missing. One day, he would work out what it was. For now, he filled the hole with chicken pie.

It hadn't dawned on Hemi that the school year was fast drawing to a close. He had made it a full year without causing too much trouble and he only had to make it through another six without killing himself or getting expelled. It was possible, he thought.

He filed into the Great Hall with his friends, admiring the Gryffindor themed decorations. They had done it! The lions had managed to hold on to the house cup despite everything which happened this year. Hemi was unsure whether that said more about Gryffindor, or all the other houses.

He took a seat next to Rudolf and watched the Headmistress rise to give her speech. There was another surprise in store when Rudolf, a known troublemaker, was the top house point earner. Hemi couldn't believe it, he cheered at the announcement and patted his housemate on the back, congratulating him verbally. He looked round to catch Charlotte's eye to congratulate her as top earner for Slytherin from afar as well. He was going to miss this atmosphere over the holidays.

Hemi settled down for the feast, chatting happily with other Gryffindors whilst filling himself on roast beef followed by a chocolatey desert. He felt privileged to call Hogwarts his home and to have made friends he was seriously going to miss over the holidays.

Matthew was glad the year was finally over, he had never been so happy to be entering the end of year feast before. It had been an up and down year for the Ravenclaw, the last few weeks of the semester had certainly been the worst of his time at the school. Matthew dreaded coming back after the holidays, there was so much that could happen in the next year that would affect him, he could have to watch Alana move on. He wasn't sure if he was ever ready for that, he knew that she would never stop fighting her fate, and someone like that was no doubt going to date in her coming years, though he knew what they had couldn't continue, it wasn't what she needed, it would no longer of provided a distraction from her fate and would have put Matthew in danger. At the time he didn't care about risking his life to be with her. He still didn't.

There had been a buzz in the common room as there always was right before a major feast at the school, young students bragging about how much they were going to be able to eat, older students talking about their plans for the holidays, girlfriends they were going to spend time with or boyfriends they hadn't seen for a while, even career plans they were exploring. It all made Matthew quite sad though he wasn't really sure why. At least nothing he wanted to admit to.

Matthew took his seat at the Ravenclaw table, he took a look up and down the table at some of his fellow housemates, some of them would be leaving the school for good very soon and he envied them all so much. Once Professor Kind announced the winners of the house cup, Gryffindor again, typical and she announced the top points winners, Matthew doubted he was anywhere near the top Ravenclaw winner as he had as good as switched off half way through the semester, the feast was able to begin and Matthew tucked in.

Alana didn't know how she felt as she listened to the Headmistress announce the House points winners. She only half paid attention, knowing she wasn't in danger of having attention drawn her way. It had been a long year for the teenager, one filled with so much drama that she really couldn't believe it had all happened this year. She'd be the witness to a crime, had her first kiss, her first boyfriend, her first fight, and her first breakup. So many firsts.

As the food appeared, Alana picked up some juice and waited to serve herself. She knew that the break would not be any less dramatic as she would be forced, at some point, to visit with Chaos. In his home. The teenager was going to do everything she could to prevent it from happening, but she had the feeling that she could only delay it. Just like previous years, Alana ate in silence, quietly listening to conversation around her.

With OWL exams over and the year completed, Jean felt lighter than he had in ages as he sat listening to Headmistress King announce Gryffindor as the winners of the house cup. He couldn't believe it! High fiving those around him, the teenager hoped that the win would cheer up their Head of House. He looked towards the staff table, not too surprised when he didn't spot her.

As the announcements continued, Jean narrowed his eyes when someone not named Victoire won the award for Gryffindor leader in house points. She always won, and he looked over to her wondering what had happened. As soon as they were free to eat and talk, Jean jumped into conversation with his friends. Their OWL grades wouldn't come in for a few weeks so he could enjoy his time, not worrying about them. The teen had plans this holiday to meet up with several of his school friends which he never had before. He was looking forward to the break.

It was the end of Maddie's first year at Hogwarts and she couldn't believe it was that time already, it come so quickly. She looked around the Great Hall and looked to all of her friends that surrounded her at the Gryffindor table and her friends at the other house tables and realised how lucky she was. She had experienced the best year of her life so far in this castle and had met so many amazing people and she couldn't wait to return next year, when she would be a second year! She made herself comfortable as the headmistress began her speech congratulating Gryffindor on winning the house cup this year! No thanks to Hemi and Maddie, but she decided she wouldn't have changed anything she did the past year for the world.

The headmistress moved on to announce the highest points winners for each house and Maddie was completely surprised that her fellow Gryffindor first year, Rudolf Lagowski, won the most house points for their Gryffindor. Rudolf? The boy who maybe got into just as much trouble as Maddie and Hemi?! She grinned at him and gave him a small hug and congratulated him. To her surprise another fellow troublemaker and best friend, Charlotte, had won the most house points for Slytherin! Maddie wooped when the headmistress announced her best friend's achievement and flashed Charlotte a smile. The speeches had finished and soon enough it was time to dig into the delicious food, something Maddie would miss when she went home.

Charlotte had been looking very forward to the end of year feast. It meant that all exams for the year were done and that she was finally able to relax with her friends for the last time of the year in the great hall. She couldn't wait until next year to come back to Hogwarts but for now she was just glad that she was finally able to get a break from all the stress of exams. She sat down at the Slytherin table and listened as the Headmistress began her speech and clapped along with the rest to congratulate her friends in Gryffindor for winning the house cup. Hopefully next year Slytherin was going to be able to take that position but in all honestly she didn't really care who won. After all, there were still six more years left at Hogwarts for Charlotte which meant six more chances to win it for Slytherin.

The highest point winners from each house started being announced and Charlotte clapped along with the others until she heard her name being called. "Whaa-?" she said, surprised that she had earned the most points out of everyone in her house. She caught Hemi and Maddie's eyes at the Gryffindor table and smiled brightly at them. She had never won something like that before and couldn't wait to go home and tell her parents.

Eventually it was time to dig into the delicious food and she knew that it was one of the things that she was definitely going to miss during her time away. She had had the best year ever and she couldn't wait to make more memories next year.

It felt like bubbles were exploding within his stomach as the year came to an end. He was sitting beside his Gryffindor friend, Ellington, as he really didn't have many friends from Ravenclaw. He shared Herbology with Ellington, and had to work with her with regards to Hogwarts Monthly, and so found that he greatly enjoyed her company. She was rather standoffish, whilst he was rather quiet, and so he really wasn't all that bothered with their arrangement. He didn't think it would matter too much if he didn't sit at the Ravenclaw table and was listening to the professor. He went a little red at his name being called for the main points earner of Ravenclaw - especially since he wasn't even sitting at the table. He grinned sheepishly back at Ellington and rolled his eyes at her huge grin.

He clapped for each other winner and once the professor was done, it was time to eat. The young man was famished and the food looked absolutely delicious. Picking some food for himself, he began small talk with his Gryffindor friend, enjoying the night as much as he could.
