Ava sat at the Head table chatting away to the staff around her, waiting for all the students to arrive. She was sure that they were just as excited about the food as she was, so it wasn't long before the Hall filled out. The Professor was happy about the yellow decorations hanging around the Hall, the winner of the House Cup quite obvious. Ava rose and the chatter in the Hall quietened out as she cleared her throat to speak. "Welcome everyone the final feast of this year. Before we tuck in, I just have a few words to say. A very big congratulations to the winner of our House Cup this year - as you can all see, the winner is, Hufflepuff!" She exclaimed, clapping along with the cheers from the winning house. "I know that Professor Kingston is very proud of you all, and very happy to have the Cup in her office for the year coming." She laughed. Moving on to the top House Point Earners, Ava saw that they had earned a lot of House Points, unsurprisingly the Top Point Earner was from Hufflepuff. There were two familiar names, and two new ones.
"Also a very big congratulations to our Top House Point Earners this year - For Hufflepuff and the Top Point Earner, Rhiannon McGowan earned 849 points for her House! For Gryffindor, congratulations to Tybalt Archer who earned 684 for his House! For Ravenclaw, congratulations to Frederick Mensah for earning 661 for his House! And congratulations to Aliyah Wright for earning 578 points for Slytherin! Well done everyone!" Ava happily said, clapping along with the rest of the Hall.
"Congratulations to everyone for this year, you have made us all very proud. Have a fantastic holiday everyone! Be safe and empty out your brains in preparation to learn next year! And now we eat!" Ava laughed as the food appeared on the tables before sitting down, and helping herself to a large portion of food.

Victoria was excited. End of the year feast? More like, the countdown before finally boarding the Hogwarts Express to get back home! She was excited to be back with her mother and go home with Lucas, because again, she'd have her own bathroom, her own bedroom and an entire garden to herself. Perhaps the only thing she would miss in Hogwarts was the food, because those whom she loved at Hogwarts would definitely keep in touch with Vee. She deserved a break before her fifth year - before she'd be hitting heads with her OWLs.

Professor Davershire was, of course, pretty as always. And very cheery. Vee sometimes got the creeps when the professor would be too cheery during the mornings, when everyone was not supposed to talk unless they drank their hot chocolate or coffee. Nevertheless, her job as the headmistress was splendid and Vee was in no position to deny that. She announced the House Cup winner which was, the Hufflepuff house. Victoria winced visibly and clapped dryly at that. Plus the top earners this year were rather familiar names and she swore that hearing the name of McGowan made her want to roll her eyes at the cliche statement. But that immediately washed off her mind when they were allowed to feast since Vee wanted to get out of this place fast. She didn't eat much, to preserve her figure, and kept it low instead with several fruits. She still enjoyed listening to other people's plans though, even if some were boring to death.

Rhiannon was glad that this semester was over. if the first half had been stressful the second half had been a real endurance test. she had endured, and the proof was the fact she was sitting in the great hall, and the proof she hadn't just endured but succeeded was the fact that her name had been called as the top house point winner of her house. and the fact she was top point earner in the school meant despite her burning out. she was doing well. when her name was called the people near her congratulated her and offered high fives. she thanked them and high fived them back before she glanced over at the gryffindor table looking to see two people. the first one she found was Perseas who she could practically hear thinking nerd and she smiled even wider than before at the thought. then she saw at Ty who had come in as second. not stopping smiling she nodded a 'well done' to him though she felt extremely proud that she had finally beat him. another face at the gryffindor table caught her eye too, Victoria chase. she didn't like that girl at all, all her snotty pretence and faffing over her body and looks was maddening to the girl who's main concern was grades. looks only last so you so long dear, they cant last forever. a good brain and job will keep you on your feet no matter what life throws at you" she remembered someone telling her when she had been upset one time that her classmates were making fun of her looks and her accent when she was younger. Rhiannon had taken that advice she had really taken to heart.
She was to be honest relieved to be going home, even if it was just to more study and more exams. she knew her brother would help her. at least she hoped he would. she had had a break from muggle study over her exams but in the few days since they had ended she had been back in the books this time studying nuclear degradation and stoichiomatry not potions and charms. thankfully the bags under her eyes were starting to fade now, which was good as she didn't want her parents to worry that she wasn't coping. and goodness she had that english essay to write too. she had almost forgotten. she would have to do that this evening. thankfully the food arrived and she tucked in hingraly, she had been in the library all day and was ravenous.

Effie was very proud of her students. Hufflepuff had been kicked around and made fun of plenty in the past years, and this year they proved that they were more than just 'leftovers.' They could kick some butt too. Effie never put a whole lot of pressure on winning the House Cup, she just wanted her students to do their best, and if they got the cup in the end, awesome! If not there was always next year. But this year was their year! As soon as Hufflepuff was announced as the winner, Effie smiled and clapped. Although she tried her best not to make it obvious, a smidgen of pride could be seen upon her face. As the Hufflepuff Head of Household, she was more than proud of her students. Not just because they had won, but because they had proven that they had what it took to compete with the other houses. Maybe this little win would be enough to push the students into working even harder in future years.

To Effie's delight, the top points earner overall was also a Hufflepuff. Effie's smile only got bigger by this point. Clapping she nodded in Rhiannon's direction, whether she saw it or not wasn't too big of a deal though. She just wanted the young girl to know that she was quite proud of her. If she kept it up, she would have a very bright future. As the feast continued, Effie ate on and celebrated with her co-workers, most seemed pretty happy for her. Hufflepuff had done well, and Effie felt giddy at the very thought of what next year would bring.

Aliyah walked up to the End of the Feast from the Slytherin dungeons and took in the yellow and black decorations as she entered the Great Hall. The first year was really hoping that her house would rally and come back to win the House Cup, but it was not to be. The Slytherin house team did win the Quidditch Cup which was nice and they did manage to climb all the way up to second after starting off the year in the negatives which was also admirable. But after seeing her house's winning track record in the Trophy Room her first week at school, young witch wanted nothing more than to be a part of that history. She sighed as she squeezed into an empty space at her house's table. Tuning out the mindless chatter around her, she watched as the hall filled with students. Soon enough she was going to be back at home in her room with nothing but her parents and muggle school books to keep her company. The thought of what laid ahead almost made her grateful for the busy buzz of her dorm.

Aliyah politely clapped as the Headmistress officially named Hufflepuff this year's winners. She was only half listening to the highest point earners and nearly missed Professor Davershire call her name. The young witch had to bite down on her bottom lip to stop herself from squealing with delight when she realized her name was being announced as the highest Slytherin point earner. She recognized the names of the two older students, the leader of the Club Academia and Heta Omega, and she couldn't be more pleased with herself for her name to be in their company. Still beaming from the acknowledgement, Aliyah helped herself to a nice slice of pie the moment the feast appeared on the table. Desert for dinner was the perfect choice. It was her last night of freedom and she was celebrating.
